Re: Shopping Campaign Ads: If I have no Product Groups (no partitions) will all my products be included in the shopping ad campaign?

2016-10-06 Thread 'Joyce Lava' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Clement,

I can see that you have the same question in this other post
.

Let us continue the discussion in this thread to properly track the case.

Regarding your concern, the example code add_shopping_campaign.rb shows the
creation of shopping campaign, adGroup and a productAd. After this, you may
try out our add_product_partition_tree.rb
to

create the ProductPartition tree on your adGroup. You may try this using
your test account and please let me know the results. The complete
documentation about Shopping campaigns in the AdWords API is available here
.

Best,
Joyce, AdWords API Team

Shopping Campaign Ads: If I have no Product Groups (no partitions) will all my products be included in the shopping ad campaign?

2016-10-06 Thread Clement Leung
Currently experimenting with the shopping campaign ads via this
example:
https://github.com/googleads/google-api-ads-ruby/blob/master/adwords_api/examples/v201609/shopping_campaigns/add_shopping_campaign.rb

Shopping Campaign, Ad Group, and Product Ad is created. But no "Product
Group"/Product Partitions. What is the behaviour of this configuration? Are
all products included? Or no products are included because no partition is
created?

When created a campaign user in Adwords Web UI, "All Products" is the
default Product Group created. So i wonder if i need to do the same via the
API? Or is the partition not required?

Thanks!

When creating a shopping ads campaign and ad group, is a product group required?

2016-10-06 Thread Clement Leung
Currently I am using the google ads api ruby gem example to make shopping
campaign
ads:
https://github.com/googleads/google-api-ads-ruby/blob/master/adwords_api/examples/v201609/shopping_campaigns/add_shopping_campaign.rb

This allows me to create a shopping campaign, and create an ad group and a
product ad.

What is the behaviour of this setup (once enabled) if I do not have a
product group? Will all products from my merchant center (imported into
Adwords) be used?

Thanks!

Re: Overdelivery Credits not reported in BudgetOrder spendingLimit

2016-10-06 Thread Evan Giesel

Thank you for your response!

Unfortunately, I don't have a very strong use case, so please accept this
probably-insufficiently-thought-through rant.

I would argue that if overcharge credits represent a big enough number to
confuse people if it were suddenly introduced, then it is probably
important enough to be available somewhere in the api.

I guess my main concern is that this discrepancy, however small, introduces
an amount of potential error into every single budget order related
calculation that I do.

That I've seen, overcharge credits aren't ever a large percentage of a
budget, but it is a percentage that I have no way of knowing whether it
exists or how much it is. It means that if I have a budget that lasts for a
month, I don't know whether it's exhausted or only close to being
exhausted. It means that if a budgetorder last for many months, I don't
know if my numbers are off by a dollar, or tens of dollars.

Having a field like you suggest that contains this mystery amount would
free me up from a load of guess work.

Side note / additional (probably stupid) thought:

In the mcc, I have noticed that the overcharge credit isn't displayed in
the account budgets page at all, but only the transaction history page.
Budget amount and credit amounts do not contain the overcharge credit. The
amount spent seems to be the true amount spent minus any overcharge amounts.

It would be equally useful to me If there was a field that gave me the
current amount spent minus the overcharge amount, to correspond to the
overcharge-credit-free spending limit.

Thanks!

-Evan

2016-10-06 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Barrie,

A value of two dashes (--) indicates there is no value for this cell. This
could be because the value couldn't be calculated for the date range
specified. You might not see impression share for products that have too
few impressions.

If you see search impression share data in the UI for the same date range
in the UI but the report has "--" instead, please provide the complete
report definition used along with your clientCustomerId. Please use *Reply
privately to author* when responding.

Thanks,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: Overdelivery Credits not reported in BudgetOrder spendingLimit

2016-10-06 Thread 'Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Since neither the spendingLimit nor the totalAdjustments is including the
overcharge credit, I'm tempted to say that it's working as intended. You
may want to change the check you make vs. the reporting data to see if
you've spent *at least* as much as your spending limit indicates, rather
than *exactly* as much, which may get around the issue.

I don't think we should start including overcharge credits in the
spendingLimit either, since people have been using the spendingLimit as is
for quite some time, and having the numbers increase across the board
(potentially) would be alarming for users.

Maybe the best compromise might be to add a field explicitly to indicate
overcharge credits. Would that help you? Note that this is not a promise
that we may ever actually build such a thing, but I could file a feature
request if you provide a strong use case.

Regards,
Mike, AdWords API Team

Re: SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201609/LabelService?wsdl' : Extra content at the end of the document

2016-10-06 Thread Christian H.
Dear Adwords-Team,

Is it possible, that this error is related to my problem
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/adwords-api/Epxf03OZ2cA ?

My problem is, that I sometimes get an invalid XML-response that looks like
an (de)compression-issue.

An example-outline of that messed up decompressed response is
"TARGET_CPA"

Connect Google User Account with Adword Account using API

2016-10-06 Thread salman raza
Hi all,

I have a question related to google/adword api. Basically what I want to
achieve is automatically create a google user account (this can be achieved
using Google Admin SDK) and create an adword account under MCC account
(this can be achieved using Adwords Account API). Now what I am looking for
is to link the both using API, so that user can login into adwords console
from the created google user account.

Is there any way to automate this using API ?

Awaiting to hear from experts

Thanks,
Salman Raza

Re: Total number of keywords in an account

2016-10-06 Thread Biniam Asnake
For anyone who might be interested in a java solution, I modified an
adwords api code to make it able to retrieve the count of keywords in an
account. Here is the code.

package adwords.axis.v201609.basicoperations;

import com.google.api.ads.adwords.axis.utils.v201609.SelectorBuilder;

import
com.google.api.ads.adwords.axis.v201609.cm.AdGroupCriterionServiceInterface;
import com.google.api.ads.adwords.axis.v201609.cm.Paging;
import com.google.api.ads.adwords.axis.v201609.cm.Selector;
import com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.client.AdWordsSession;
import

SearchImpressionShare value interpretation

2016-10-06 Thread B Kersbergen
The API doc says that the SearchImpressionShare in
SHOPPING_PERFORMANCE_REPORT returns a percentage as "xx.xx%", or the
special value "< 10%".
However when I download the report for most of my offerIds the
SearchImpressionShare has value '--'.

The number of impressions on these offersIds with '--' as
SearchImpressionShare is up to 3000 per day.
Can anyone tell me what the value of '--' as a SearchImpressionShare
represents?

Kind regards,
Barrie

Re: ad serving or not

2016-10-06 Thread 'Joyce Lava' via AdWords API Forum
Hello Ashok,

All ad-related performance data can be found when you generate the Ad
Performance Report
.

For example, if the ad should be serving on Google Search, then you may use
the filter AdNetworkType=SEARCH. The ads that are serving should be
returned in this report and there are available useful information to
monitor their performance. Hope this helps.

ad serving or not

2016-10-06 Thread ashok kuna

Hi API Team,

We are developing Adwords management tool which monitors the ad position and
increase the bids for ads which are not serving in the sponsored results.
This logic will improve our client’s ad visibility, revenues and reduce
manual efforts in bidding process. Can you please let us know the API
variable which is having data about ad serving or not.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Api for current ad position

2016-10-06 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ashok,

You could use the Keywords Performance Report

 to
get the AveragePosition

 specific
to a keyword of your account. You may also refer here

 for
the other reports in which the AveragePosition field is supported. Hope
this helps!

Best regards,
Peter

Re: Offline Conversion without gclid

2016-10-06 Thread 'Joyce Lava' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Normen,

Gclid

 is
required when uploading offline conversions. This is because a click is
required in order to get a conversion. Each click has Gclid. If you need to
get the Gclid
's,

you may run the Click Performance Report

.

Regards,
Joyce, AdWords API Team

Re: Using Adwords API to link Ad group to remarketing list created in Google Analytics

2016-10-06 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Cindy,

My apologies for the delayed response. Yes, the sharing of remarketing
lists between AdWords API and Google Analytics are not supported. You can
however, link your AdWords API and Google Analytics accounts and use their
separate existing remarketing lists to create a combination of these lists
 that you can then use
to create a campaign.

Hope this has been helpful.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Offline Conversion without gclid

2016-10-06 Thread Normen Daunderer
I want to push an offline conversion without a gclid into google Adwords
and match it by AdGroup ID or Campaign ID.
Is there a way to do that?
