Remove Sitelink Account extension

2017-05-02 Thread rafa . romero
Hi!

we have managin account extension from our app, and one of the features is
to remove extensions. The code that "removes" the extensions seems that is
working, but when we get the extensions from Adwords we are not getting the
removed extension. Howewer, if we go to our *Account > Shared Library
> Business Data > Extensions > Sitelink Extensions*, the extension is still
there and its status is active.

Above you can see the code we are using in each case:

*Remove extension:*

AdWordsServices adWordsServices = new AdWordsServices()
CustomerExtensionSettingServiceInterface service  = adWordsServices.get(
session, CustomerExtensionSettingServiceInterface.class);

SitelinkFeedItem adWordsExtension = new SitelinkFeedItem()
adWordsExtension.setFeedId(item['feedId'] as Long)
adWordsExtension.setFeedItemId(item['feedItemId'] as Long)
adWordsExtension.setFeedType(new FeedType(item['type']))
adWordsExtension.setSitelinkText(item['text'])
adWordsExtension.setSitelinkFinalUrls(item['url'])
adWordsExtension.setSitelinkLine2(item['description1'])
adWordsExtension.setSitelinkLine3(item['description1'])

ExtensionSetting extensionSetting = new ExtensionSetting()
extensionSetting.setExtensions(adWordsExtension)

CustomerExtensionSetting customerExtensionSetting = new
CustomerExtensionSetting()
customerExtensionSetting.setExtensionSetting(extensionSetting)
customerExtensionSetting.setExtensionType(new FeedType(item['type']))

CustomerExtensionSettingOperation operation = new
CustomerExtensionSettingOperation()
operation.setOperator(Operator.REMOVE)
CustomerExtensionSettingOperation[] operations = (
CustomerExtensionSettingOperation[]) [operation]
operation.setOperand(customerExtensionSetting);

return service.mutate(operations);

Use TargetingIdeaService to get monthly search volumes for more then 12 months

2017-05-02 Thread Patrick van Zadel
I am currently researching the possibilities for a new internal project for
our SEA strategy that we would like to implement and I have some doubts
about some of our features in terms of the AdWords API, specifically the
TargetingIdeaService.

If you look at the TargetingIdeaSelector

in the requestAttributeTypes you can find the 'TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES'.
There it states the following: Represents the (approximated) number of
searches on this keyword idea (as available for the past twelve months),
targeted to the specified geographies.
Resulting attribute is MonthlySearchVolumeAttribute

.

So we can get at least the past twelve months. But would it be possible to
set the year for those returned months using the MonthlySearchVolume

?

Say I want the search volumes for the whole of 2016? Can I set it to check
for the year 2016 from the 12th moment and it will return 01-2016 till
12-2016?

Or is there no way to get data from previous years?

Many thanks!

Use TargetingIdeaService to get monthly search volume for more then 12 months?

2017-05-02 Thread Patrick van Zadel
I've been going through the documentation for a new project we are
considering in our internal SEA strategy and I was wondering about
something.

Now our SEA people use the Google Keyword Planner to get some insights into
Keywords, it's volume and their respective competition but also Ideas for
Keywords.
The Keyword Planner is fine but some of our people have asked if there were
possibilities to their workflow.

I am currently researching our possibilities and was wondering:
"Is it possible to get more then 12 months of monthly volume data using the
TargetingIdeaService?" cause our people sometime or maybe most of the times
try and get data till 2 and 3 years back

The documentation currently states it grabs the data for 12 months back
from the previous month (since the current month is still running)

I was looking at things like the MonthlySearchVolume
(https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201702/TargetingIdeaService.MonthlySearchVolume)
where I can set the year field to something like 2013? and get the 12
months from 2013?

Is this even a possibility?

Many thanks!

Re: Remove Sitelink Account extension

2017-05-02 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

When you perform a CustomerExtensionSettingService.mutate()

 request
to remove a Sitelink extension, only that extension at the Account level (
CustomerFeed
)

is removed, but the Sitelink Feed or the FeedItem will not be removed from
the Business data section of your account. You need to use FeedService

 and/or FeedItemService

 to
delete these Feeds/FeedItems from the Business data section of your account.

Re: What is the ClickType display value in the Ad Performance Report for "Purchase on Google"?

Hello all,

I see this data in performance reports now, but it doesn't appear in the
enums in the documentation, so we can't filter for it.

Does anyone know what the enum value is or if this is not available yet in

Thanks!

Re: Use TargetingIdeaService to get monthly search volumes for more then 12 months

2017-05-02 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Patrick,

I'm afraid you cannot use custom date range to retrieve historic search
volume data like in the UI. The TargetingIdeaService

 only
returns TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES for the last 12 months. Please keep an
eye on our blog
 for any
updates or announcements about this feature.

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Are Smart Display Campaigns available in the API?

2017-05-02 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I tried to attach a shared negative placement list to a Smart Display
Campaign but I received a MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT error.

>From looking at the AdWords blog
,

it looks like a new feature. Smart Display is also not listed in the AdWords
API Channel Type

.

Are smart display campaigns available in the API?

Thanks!

AdWords billing data via API

2017-05-02 Thread Devi Monti
Hello -

We would like to be able to get the detail behind the monthly billing via
the API. Currently, that is unavailable. Is there an ETA as to when it will
be available?

Thank you.
