Re: geotargeting: Downloading all locations

2017-06-21 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Cyrus,

I'm a colleague of Joyce and will be providing support in the meantime. For
your first question, yes, only way to get the complete and updated list can
be found via the geo targeting spreadsheet
 and
to answer the second question, there currently isn't any direct way to get
this list other than regulary visiting the link and downloading the latest
version of the spreadsheet.

Also, being that this is already an old thread, please create a new one if
you have any follow up questions and we'll continue our discussion from
there.

Best regards,
Peter

Re: where is Adwords API in Goole APIS?

2017-06-21 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Che,

Could you confirm if you are initially setting up your development
environment using the AdWords API? If yes, then as I mentioned previously,
you may follow carefully this guide
 to
complete your setup. Should you encounter any issues and being that this is
already an old thread, could you create a new one and provide the complete
details of the issue? We can continue our discussion from there.

Thanks and regards,

Re: geotargeting: Downloading all locations

2017-06-21 Thread Adigami
Hi Joyce,

We have an automated service that brings in advertising data for thousands
of advertisers on a daily basis and would like to automatically translate
location codes to names.

1. It seems that there is no easy way of using the
*LocationCriterionService* to get a complete list of the latest Locations
on demand. Is this true?

2. Our next option is to download the CSV file that is stored on
your website in the Geotargets page (
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting). But
this doesn't seem to be a reliable way of getting this information. You
mention that we need to "monitor" the latest available CSV but there's no
direct link to that file that we can do repeated downloads (e.g. Today the
link is pointing to https://goo.gl/IoeiSx). There has got to be a more
robust way that we're not seeing.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Cyrus

2017-06-21 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Naresh,

Please see this guide

 for
the behavior of different types of fields in AdWords API reports. Fields of
type "Attribute" contain settings or other fixed data and will always
reflect the current state of the entities in your account. Fields of type
"Metric" contain performance data for the DateRange specified in the report
definition. Fields of type "Segment" are used to group metrics based on
different dimensions. Please see this guide

more details on segmentation.

 Hi Kamran,

 Thanks for providing the *requestId*. That really made everything a
 lot easier to track down. So, it looks like you're calling
 AccountLabelService

  against
 a customer account, rather than a manager account. Try using the
 LabelService

 instead at that level of your account hierarchy. If you call
 AccountLabelService
 one level above that account, which would be the manager account level,
 then you would get back account level labels.

 Happy coding,

How google defines locations in adwords

2017-06-21 Thread ivan
Hi,

When you select areas to target in keyword planner you may have empty
spaces between the blue shapes (the selected areas). If you select the city
of Woking, this will be hightlighted in a blue shape that looks nothing
like the city's actual geographical map.
 I'm after the database that defines this blue shapes! I have found that
some of the "white" areas that cant be targeted by name or using the shape
tool are not in the latest CSV file.
Does anyone know if there is maybe a .klm file or something to have this
shapes?

Thank you

Mobile and Desktop AdGroup Bid Modifiers not being unset when removed

2017-06-21 Thread karl appel
I have been able to successfully get bids and set bids from the AdGroup
level. However, I am having a lot of issues removing the bids and the bids
react differently. When I use the remove operator on tablet bid
adjustments, the bid becomes unset. However on the mobile and desktop bids
they do not. Is there a way to unset AdGroup Bid Modifiers that I am not
aware about or is this an issue with the API?

Get the number of results from Google search?

2017-06-21 Thread steve
Hello,

Is it possible to get the number of results from a Google search using the
AdWords API? For example, let's say I were to go to Google's home page and
type in "Leather Jacket". I see it returns about 137,000,000 results.

Is there a way to get this number from the API?

Steve

Re: add existing sitelinks feed item to new adgroup in php

2017-06-21 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

To remove the entire extension setting, you need to perform an
AdGroupExtensionSettingService.mutate()

 request
with the REMOVE operator. This will remove the association between the
entity and all feed items in the extension setting. To remove an individual
ExtensionFeedItems within the extension setting, you need to specify a new
set of ExtensionFeedItems

 that
does not contain the one you want to remove. Please see this guide

 for
more details on removing ad extensions. Please note that the underlying
feed items are not removed. You can either delete the feed items
,

or reuse the feed items

 in
other extension settings.

Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: Filter for YouTube Campaigns only via Reports

Hi Greg,

You could consider using Ad Performance Report

 with
a predicate to filter based on AdType
,
 as
Video ad is not one of the supported ad type in this report. This report
maps to the data available in the *Ads* tab in the UI.

Newly Created Campaigns Not getting reflected instantly via API

2017-06-21 Thread Ronak Shah
Hello,

We have a reporting platform where we have an ability to update Campaigns
List Manually via click of button.However we noticed some lag because the
campaigns was created in Adwords Interface but that new campaigns don't
come up instantly we manually updated many times but new campaign didn't
came and suddenly after 1 or 2 hour it automatically came through via
automated cron.Please note we are using CampaignService

 , Is
there any lag between API and Adwords UI for getting campaigns list. We
know that performance data updates like clicks, Impressions etc do have
some lag but we are not sure if there is also a lag in getting campaigns
list.

Please look into this and let me know regarding same.

Thanks,

Re: Batch Job v201705

2017-06-21 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Kanan,

Could you confirm if those batch IDs are still on the AWAITING_FILE status?
If yes, you could try and cancel the batch job

 and
retry your request. If in your retry the status will still be stuck as
AWAITING_FILE, please send to me your clientCustomerId and the batch job
IDs so I can further investigate. Please also reply using *Reply privately
to author*.

Best regards,
Peter

Batch Job v201705

2017-06-21 Thread Kanan Farzali
Hi All,

I have updated my old code into the new version v201705.

//Bulk Adwords functions
public function createBatchJob($clientId, $operations) {
$oAuth2Credential = (new OAuth2TokenBuilder())
->fromFile()
->build();

// Construct an API session configured from a properties file and the OAuth2
// credentials above.
$session = (new AdWordsSessionBuilder())
->fromFile()
->withOAuth2Credential($oAuth2Credential)
->withClientCustomerId($clientId)
->build();

$adWordsServices = new AdWordsServices();
$batchJobService = $adWordsServices->get($session, BatchJobService::class);

// Create a BatchJob.
$addOp = new BatchJobOperation();
$addOp->setOperator(Operator::ADD);
$addOp->setOperand(new BatchJob());

$result = $batchJobService->mutate([$addOp]);
$batchJob = $result->getValue()[0];

$uploadUrl = $batchJob->getUploadUrl()->getUrl();

$batchJobs = new BatchJobs($session);

$batchJobs->uploadBatchJobOperations($operations, $uploadUrl);

if (!empty($batchJob->getUploadUrl()->getUrl())) {
$jobDetails = new stdClass();
$jobDetails->job_id = $batchJob->getId();
$jobDetails->client_id = $clientId;

return $jobDetails;
}
}

The following code gets a unique batch job id but doesn't mutate objects
(like pausing or unpausing campaigns) in Google Server. For example, I get
batch job ids with status AWAITING FILE and it seems never changes.

Please help with it.

Thanks,

Kanan
