Re: (URGENT!) Total : AdGroups Costs

2017-10-30 Thread biuser

Hi,
I am already using Ad Group Performance Report.
What I want is "Total: Ad groups" in the AdWords panel, how the cost data
is calculated (the area marked in the example screen image # 1).
What I get with Api is the same as the AdWords panel (the area marked in
the screenview example 2).
Do you understand?

Re: How do I distinguish between "search and featured display networks" and "search network only" campaigns, which field is used to determine?

2017-10-30 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tim,

The documentation for targetContentNetwork

 states
that it *may only *be set to true for campaign channel subtype
UNIVERSAL_APP_CAMPAIGN, but it does not necessarily mean that this is only
true for this campaign type. You can also test this in your account. For
"Search Network with Display Select" type, this is the SOAP response
snippet:

true
false
true
false

For UAC campaigns, this is the SOAP response snippet:

true
true
true
false

If you have further clarifications on this, kindly create a new forum
thread so we can better track your concern.

Thanks,
Vincent

Hi Vincent,

I have this question too, but the API documentation states that the
targetContentNetwork field can only be set
true for campaign subtype Universal_App_Campaign.

Is there another way to determine if a campaign is "Search Network only" or
"Search Network with Display Select?"

Re: No auth.ini in Google Adwords PHP API files

2017-10-30 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

A new ads php client library was released

in December 2016. The configuration settings in the new library have been
consolidated into one file called adsapi_php.ini which is available in
examples/AdWords
.

The builder's fromFile() method looks for an adsapi_php.ini file in your
home directory by default. If you want to store this file in another
directory, you need to pass the path of the file as an argument. The Upgrading
guide

provides more details on migrating your code from the old ads PHP client
library to the new one.

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

No auth.ini in Google Adwords PHP API files

2017-10-30 Thread Em VeeOo
I copied an old 2013 repos from a company to have a headstart. Finally
ofcours this fails. The /v2013/ it tries to get the WSDL for is non
existent. Nevermind.
Then, Composer says it's old and need to be self-updated. That fails
because of access/security issues. Nevermind that.
Then finally today I used GIT. When you checkout (or clone) with GIT the
current Google AdWords API, you get a lot of files. That's nice.
But no auth.ini, do you know where it is or how I get it?

Adwords and Selenium

2017-10-30 Thread vincent
Is using selenium to take screenshot for reporting purposes discouraged by
Google?

Obviously, I am unable to use the API to take screenshots.

I want to know why I can't use cookie based authentication for Selenium to
visit Adwords.

I have the following code: save.py

try:
  driver = webdriver.Chrome()
  driver.get('https://adwords.google.com')
  time.sleep(90)
  # Manually login to adwords page and wait
  pickle.dump( driver.get_cookies() , open("cookies.pkl","wb"))

finally:
  driver.close()

And this: load.py

try:
  driver = webdriver.Chrome()
  cookies = pickle.load(open("cookies.pkl", "rb"))
  for cookie in cookies:
driver.add_cookie(cookie)

  driver.get('https://adwords.google.com/')
  time.sleep(60)

finally:
  driver.close()

When I first run load.py, I am actually able to see the spinner that shows
up when one logs into Adwords. Shortly after however, I get logged out!

I don't know what is causing Google's authentication system to log me out.
What do you think is the cause of this?

Re: User doesn't have permission to access customer...Following Tutorial

2017-10-30 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello Steve,

The USER_PERMISSION_DENIED

 error
is experienced when there is no link between the manager account
authenticated in the request and the client account specified or when the
OAuth credentials used are for a user who do not have access to the client
customer ID specified or any of its manager accounts. You could use
CustomerService.getCustomers()

 which
returns details of all the customers directly accessible by the user
authenticating the call and then use the ManagedCustomerService

 to
determine the client accounts linked to a manager account.

If you continue to have an issue with this, could you provide us the SOAP
request and response logs for the API call along with the email address
used for authentication, so we can take a look and assist further. You can
respond via *Reply privately to author *option while replying.

Thanks,
Bharani, AdWords API Team

2017-10-30 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

You will be able to pull the Clicks

, Cost

 and Impressions

 data
using the Campaign Performance Report. The Campaign Performance Report

 aggregates
statistics at the campaign level, one row per campaign. You can also take a
look at other different report types

available
to pull the specified data. Let me know if you have any other questions.

You could use the Ad Group Performance Report

 which
includes all statistics aggregated by default at the ad group level. You
will need to include Cost

 along
with any other fields that you need to have in the your reports. For a

Samples in other languages can also be found here

High search volume results for locations

2017-10-30 Thread Francisco Ferrari
Hi!

I am trying to get the monthly estimated search volume for certain keywords
using the LocationSearchParameter and the id of a country (in this case
Switzerland, 2756) but I am getting results that are too high to be real.
Also, when I try to use lower level location (in this case cities) I get
results that are pretty close to the country level. How is that possible?

The selector construction:

 # Construct selector object and retrieve related keywords.
  selector = {
  'ideaType': 'KEYWORD',
  'requestType': 'STATS'
  }

  selector['requestedAttributeTypes'] = [
  'KEYWORD_TEXT', 'TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES']

  selector['searchParameters'] = [{
  'xsi_type': 'RelatedToQuerySearchParameter',
  'queries': ['iqos']
  }]

  selector['searchParameters'].append({
  'xsi_type': 'LocationSearchParameter',
  'locations': [{'id': '2756'}]
  })

Thanks in advance for any type of help! :D

Hi Alvin,

For now, you could continue using the V201702 version of AdWords API.
Please note that this version is marked for sunset
 on 14 Feb
2018 after which all the requests made against this version of the API will
fail. Could you ask this question on the PHP client library issues tracker

might be able to suggest any possible workarounds.

Python Labels request problem

2017-10-30 Thread Marvin
Hello,

I'm trying to get all my campaigns with their Labels. When I don't include
"Labels" in my request I have everything but when I'm adding it some are
missing.

Here I have all of them
SELECT CampaignId, Date, CampaignName, CampaignStatus, Impressions, Clicks,
Cost, AveragePosition, Conversions, AllConversionValue FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING LAST_30_DAYS

Now I'm adding "Labels" but Campaigns are missing.

SELECT CampaignId, Date, CampaignName, CampaignStatus, Impressions, Clicks,
Cost, AveragePosition, Conversions, AllConversionValue, Labels FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING LAST_30_DAYS

Do you know why I can't get all of them when "Labels" is added ?
Thank you.

I've looked into the error/forums and the only mention is the accounts

and the test client from the test manager account. My understanding is
that linking accounts is on the production side. The test client created
from the test manager doesn't even have its own email as far as I can tell.

Thanks for any help,

Google/auth version conflict

2017-10-30 Thread alvin
We are building an application where want to use both the Google Adwords
api and the Google Analytics api. We used composer to install both and we
are having a version conflict. The analytics api library is using
google/auth version 0.8 and adwords api is using version 1.0.1.

We are using the analytics api to retrieve specific reports and use the
adwords api to tweek our campaigns and ad groups.

We want to know if there is way to use both libraries at their updated
state without having any version conflict with google/auth.

Or if we simply use an older version of the Google AdWords API (v201702)
for reporting, would that stop being viable in the foreseeable future?

Python AWQL request (problem to get Labels)

2017-10-30 Thread Marvin
Hello,

I'm trying to get all my campaigns with their Labels. When I don't add
"Labels" in my request I'm getting all of them. But when it's added, some
campaigns just disappear.

Here my request without "Labels"

SELECT CampaignId, Date, CampaignName, CampaignStatus, Impressions, Clicks,
Cost, AveragePosition, Conversions, AllConversionValue FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING LAST_30_DAYS’

Here when "Labels" is added

SELECT CampaignId, Date, CampaignName, CampaignStatus, Impressions, Clicks,
Cost, AveragePosition, Conversions, AllConversionValue, Labels FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING LAST_30_DAYS’

I don't know why some of them just disappear, do you have any ideas ?
Thank you

Re: CampaignCriterionService get LocationName (language german)

2017-10-30 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Dominik,

LocationNames

 are
usually returned the same as what can be seen via the geo targeting
spreadsheet
.

This is because all the names of geotargets are changed to match an ASCII
standard for that location and will not return the local language name.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

2017-10-30 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Daniel,

On the AdWords API perspective, these types of video ads as template ads
 are
still supported. However, since your concern is more on the product level
(if these type of ads are no longer shown in YouTube and other network
partners), I recommend you to please post this concern in the AdWords
Community Forum

as
their team can better assist you on the product level issues/concerns.

Thanks,
Vincent

Re: Video Add API calls (https://developers.google.com/adwords/scripts/docs/reference/adwordsapp/adwordsapp_instreamadbuilder)

2017-10-30 Thread office
Hi Vincent,

Thank you for clarifying.

Regarding your suggestion for creating in-stream video ads in a display
network campaign, I read that these are no longer being shown on YouTube
and are being phased out on network partners correct? Meaning effectively
YouTube video advertising is completely unaccessable via API? If so are
there any plans whatsoever to enable this in the future (seems requests for
this go back to 2015).

Best,
Daniel

Re: Type = 'AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED', Trigger = '', FieldPath = ''

2017-10-30 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Since you mentioned that the third account is already under your MCC
account, the other reason that you are encountering the
AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED

 error
could be due to using OAuth2 credentials that has no access to the client
account that you are using as your clientCustomerId.

This being said, could you provide the complete SOAP request and response
that was generated when you encountered the error? You may send the SOAP
logs privately via the *Reply privately to author* option. If you haven't
enabled SOAP logging, let me know which client library you are using so
that I can provide you the appropriate guide to enable it.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Re: Video Add API calls (https://developers.google.com/adwords/scripts/docs/reference/adwordsapp/adwordsapp_instreamadbuilder)

2017-10-30 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Daniel,

Your reference documentation is specific to AdWords Scripts, and not
AdWords API. If you have clarifications specific on this documentation,
please post in the AdWords Scripts Forum
.

For the AdWords API, the In-stream video ads

 or TrueView in-search video ads

 or
other related video ads can only be created in the display network
campaign, and not in a video campaign. Creating video ads under video
campaigns is currently not supported in the AdWords API. You can only do
this in the AdWords UI.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks,
Vincent
