Using API commercially

2017-11-21 Thread Gregory Smitherman
I've been searching and I think I'm just not asking the right questions.
Please forgive my ignorance...

I'm building a commercial app that will require google adwords api for
returning keyword data. Currently, I have the app setup so that the user
has to get their own adwords api and add it in the settings of the app.

The marketing guys are telling me that it's confusing for the user and we
should just use one api, which would be mine.

Can I do this? Will I get my account banned for too many requests?

Can someone please explain this to me in a little more detail or at least
point me in the right direction???

Re: Fetching system status of share bid strategies in v201708

2017-11-21 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Christophe,

There is currently no guarantee that the SystemStatus field can be
reinstated as it was already removed in earlier versions of the AdWords
API. For now, you may view the status via the AdWords UI and continue to
follow our blog
 for any
updates regarding the said field.

Additionally, since this is already an old thread, I would recommend that
you create a new one for any concerns for better tracking on our end.

Cheers,
Peter

2017-11-21 Thread christophe
Hi Peter,

>From your message it appears there is not alternative or a replacement for
SystemStatus as of yet, but how are we supposed to get the Bidding strategy
status from the API?

The status can be checked manually
(https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6263057?hl=en), but we need to
get this info from the API to be able to send an alert to our users.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Re: SoapFault Could not connect to host

Hi,

The message that you are getting is a warning. The API should still return
results and I see that there are no errors in the API SOAP response. Could
you take a look at the similar discussion here
 and see if that
fixes the warning? If not, could you please log a new issue in the library
tracker ?

The client customer Id in your request is that of a manager account, you
will need to target a client account while using the CampaignService.get()

 to
get the campaigns in that client account. Also, please make sure that the
campaignId specified in the predicate is a valid Id. Could you please give
that a try and let me know if you are able to get the results?

Can I programmatically remove a closed CrmBasedUserList from AdWords

2017-11-21 Thread George D Elig
Hi,

I am programmatically creating a UserList for my campaign. When a new
marketing campaign (Marketing campaigns reuse the existing AdWords
campaigns) starts, I close the previous userList by setting the status to
closed and create a new list, for the new marketing campaign. The old
closed list then needs to be manually deleted, which I want to avoid.

Can I programmatically delete them or is there a better way to handle this?

Re: data about suspended accounts

2017-11-21 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Ted,

Based on the link you provided, the PolicyTopicEntry

 is
on ad level and does not return account suspension status. The "suspended
account" status cannot be retrieved currently via the AdWords API. You can
only see it via the AdWords UI by logging in to your AdWords manager
account, and you can see alerts about suspended accounts. And if you select
a suspended account, you can see the reason for suspension on a red banner
in the home page.

Thanks,
Vincent
AdWords API Team
