Re: Customer Match and TrueView campaigns

2018-06-05 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Tim,

Video campaigns are not supported in the AdWords API as stated in this link
,

which means that the creation, modifying, removing, etc. of video campaigns
is strictly done in the UI only. The link showing video campaigns here

 only
means that CrmBasedUserList

 and
its SimilarUserList

 can
be used by video campaigns but you would need to do so via the AdWords UI.

Hope this answers your question.

Ad Group Targeting

2018-06-05 Thread c . kleinig
Hi,

I'm new to the Adwords API and need some guidance on how to retrieve the Ad
Group Target 'Impressions' value.

Have created the following...

1. A campaign with the default devices and a single UK Postal district
location
2. A group having a demographic range covering 25-65+ with an audience
containing the market vertical 'Motor Vehicles (New)'

In code (c#) I have the campaignId & adGroupId but just can't figure out
which service/criterion/request... to use? Any advice, much appreciated

Cheers

share deep links with their colleagues) and with that, give users a good
reason to switch to the new interface.

Hi Dannison,

After a discussion on the advertisers
community:
https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/AdWords-Tracking-and-Reporting/Costs-on-BigQuery-API-Table-CampaignStats/m-p/1725437#
I understand that I should have clarified myself better. Please note that
we are using the google-cloud's big-query data transfer-services, with the
ad-account's report-data.
Again the problem is that the costs seem about 50% of the actual numbers we
get from AdWrods.

Thanks again,

'MetroCriteriaId' empty in 'GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT'

2018-06-05 Thread drmatsavage
Hi

I am querying the AdWords reporting API for an account serving Ads in the
UK, using the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

In the Google Analytics API, reporting is possible the the Metro level,
which for the UK is TV Regions, however when I want to report at this level
in the AdWords API, the metro region is always '--'.

Is there a reason for this omission, is there a way to turn this behaviour
on, or am I just missing something?

Many thanks

Mathew

Reporting - Video campaigns excluded from CSV report when requested through API (CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT && VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT)

2018-06-05 Thread ajohnson
We have processes that request metrics via the PHP client library from the
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT that suddenly stopped working for video
campaigns. The campaigns that stopped working had recently signed up for an
AdWords BETA to bid by CPM instead of CPV.

If you export the AdWords report from within the UI, you can see
competitive metrics, like Cost, Impressions, etc. for all campaigns
including video. Through the API, however, both for the
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT and the VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, if you ask
for any competitive metrics it excludes video campaigns from the results.

Expected behavior: API report matches the report from the UI and includes
competitive metrics, like Cost, for video campaigns.

Thanks for any help you could provide us!

Kind Regards,
Alan

Re: Access campaign service of Adwords for multiple user

2018-06-05 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Tarun,

As a first step, you would need OAuth access

 to
all of the accounts to which you intend to make API calls. After that,
using one approved developer token (only one is required and it can be
any), you can do a CustomerService.getCustomers

 without
specifying a client customer id. This will get you the list of all those
accounts to which you have OAuth access. Then, for each client customer id
that was retrieved, you can call the CampaignService.get

 to
get the campaign details or create a Campaign Performance Report

 to
pull up required fields of the Campaign. For example, this java code

 could
be tweaked to pull accounts via CustomerService instead of
ManagedCustomerService and then the Campaign Performance Report

 can
be run against each account. For other client libraries, please refer here
. Also,
please do check out this section

 of
the guide for better clarity on authenticating multiple accounts.

Yes, you can create AdWords Sessions using OAuth credentials as shown in this
code sample

.

Dhanya, AdWords API Team

Sure, to access the AdWords API you will need a developer token. Once you
have completed the signup process as mentioned in this guide
,

you will initially receive a developer token with Test account access

 level.
With this, you will be able to make API calls against test accounts only.

In order to use the Developer token to make API calls against Production
accounts, you will need a Basic or a Standard access level. Basic access
allows the developer token to make AdWords API requests against both test
accounts and production accounts. It allows you to execute 10,000
operations and download up to 1,000 reports per day. You may apply for Basic
access
 by
submitting this application
form. If your use case requires more than the specified limits, you will be
able to apply for Standard access. Standard access allows the developer
token to execute an unlimited number of operations and report requests per
day. You can apply for Standard access by submitting this
 form. Once you
have submitted the application, the API Compliance Team will respond back
through the email address provided in the AdWords API Center within two
business days.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,
Bharani, AdWords API Team

Re: AuthorizationError.CUSTOMER_NOT_ACTIVE

2018-06-05 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello All,

Thanks for sharing the logs. Our team is currently looking into this. I
will keep you posted on the updates when I hear from the team. In the
meantime, please ensure that the user making the API call has access to at
least one active account. If the only account the specific user has access
to is canceled, the CustomerService.getCustomers()

will fail which is the expected behavior. Also, if an API call is being
made against a target account which is currently canceled, the API call is
expected to fail.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

Probability/Accuracy order of Category data via TargetingIdeaService

2018-06-05 Thread Sam Green
Hi,

We're using the TargetingIdeaService to identify search volume and
categories of provided keywords.

The category data comes back as a IntegerSetAttribute of category ids -
however it's unclear (to me) whether there is a measure of probability or
even order to this list - that is, how can we understand confidence of
these IDs at either a 'probability this ID matches' or a 'this is the most
likely category' - is the latter as straightforward as the first or last
integer returned?

Thanks

Sam

2018-06-05 Thread tarun . jain
Hi Dhanya,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually, I want to show AdWords Campaign of multiple users. So, for all
account, I need separate developer token of there account and Client
customer ID?

Is there any way from OAuth credentials to get Campaign data of users?

Thanks,
Tarun

Re: use AdGroupCriterionService set Gender and agerang and so on is sucessful but no effect? why? version:201802

2018-06-05 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

My apologies for the late response. The team has discussed a workaround
solution for this via API. Instead of using the BiddableAdGroupCriterion

 object
and making MALE to be the only target, you can use NegativeAdGroupCriterion

 to
remove the rest of the genders (FEMALE, UNKNOWN) as target to make MALE the
only positive target.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Regards,
Dannison

Got an update literally 2 minutes ago.
Google reactivated our account and now it works again for us.
Unfortunately we are still waiting to know why it was deactivated in the

This

I only replaced the spreadsheet url in this script

But the difference between impressions, clicks, conversions and costs in

Impressions yesterday:
- spreadsheet: 1.337
- adwords: 5.545

How is this possible?

Hope someone can help me! :)

How is this big difference posible?

I only copied the script and past my emailadres and spreadsheet url in the

Re: ocid in https://adwords.google.com URL's

2018-06-05 Thread wijnand
Hi Dhanya,

Is this still the case? Easy deep linking would be a very welcome USP for
the new AdWords interface (that people have a hard time adopting) and I
honestly don't see why Google would not support it.

The URLs of the new interface are very suitable for deep linking with a
structure
like
https://adwords.google.com/aw/keywords?campaignId=1234567890=12345678901=123456789

with the exception of the ocid part that is a big but required mystery to
all of us.

Really hope that easy deep linking based on campaignId and adGroupId will
be possible in the near future.

Best regards,

Wijnand

AdWords BQ data transfer | GeoStats table vs. AccountStats table

2018-06-05 Thread Pim Coffeng
Hi all,

We have recently joined the wonderful AdWords to BigQuery datatransfer
beta. Please forgive me, if my question is trivial to you. I'm not an
experienced data scientist :).

I've used the table: *AccountStats* to visualise our *Cost, Conversion
Value* *and ROI* in DataStudio. I am using *Date* as dimension and offer
the possibility to filter on *AdNetworkType1*. I visualised this in
Datastudio and checked the total cost for the 8th of May with the AdWords
UI and that matches perfectly. Great!

The next thing that I would like to do: is show the same visualisation but
offer the dimension *CountryCriteriaId* as filter. I've checked the AdWords
Transformation reference guide
 and
concluded that *Geo Performance Report: GeoStats table* would be best
suitable. I've duplicated the table in DataStudio and replaced the
*AccountStats *from BQ with *GeoStats.* Unfortunately the result shows
highly inflated values. For example: the 8th of May 2018 shows a cost of
almost x5 higher than our actual cost that day. I've checked the raw data
in BQ and that shows the same results (although not corrected yet with
/100).

My question is: how does it come that the summed value based on group by
date is over 5x higher in table *GeoStats *compared to table *AccountStats*
?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Pim Coffeng

Adwords Link checker script question (label)

2018-06-05 Thread Márton Szigeti

Dear Adwords script users,

I have applied the MCC-level broken URL checker script

on our MCC account, however, I have a question regarding the script itself,
and found this address in the script at the top.

It’s a bit annoying the script creates a link checker label during the
process (and if I understand it correctly, relies on the label being
applied to an ad when deciding to check one). Could you help me, whether it
is possible to eliminate the need for labels from the process at all,
without rewriting the entire script? I haven’t found anything useful
regarding the matter on the net, and neither do I have javascript
experience unfortunately.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Regards,

Marton Szigeti

I am pretty sure that is their #1 priority.
I mean, the top 5 posts in the message group all report the same thing..
I have sent them SOAP logs yesterday, here's hoping for a positive update

Re: ocid in https://adwords.google.com URL's

2018-06-05 Thread wijnand
Hi Dhanya,

Is this still the case? It would be fantastic if Google would support
simple deep linking based on campaign id and agroupid, and the urls seem
ready for it with a structure like:

https://adwords.google.com/aw/keywords?campaignId=1234567890=12345678901=123456789

Except that ocid part that is unclear.

Hope this will be possible in the near future, could you let us know if
Google plans to support deep linking?

Best Regards,

Wijnand

Hi,

Our AdWords Support Contact is looking into the issue.
He said that it was deactivated manually by one of our account managers
which I find very unlikely (yet possible), unfortunately there is no
history for this kind of actions.
Also we cannot set it back to active ourselves and are waiting for our
adwords contact to find a solution.

Will share future progress here if no solution is given.

Re: PHP Adwords API - refresh_token authorization

2018-06-05 Thread Peter Bowen
Hi Nik.

The example code looks like this:

$oAuth2Credential = (new OAuth2TokenBuilder())->fromFile()->build();

You should change that to look like this if you want to pass your OAuth2
credentials in from a db instead of from the file.

Enter code here...$oAuth2Credential = (new OAuth2TokenBuilder())

->withClientId(your oauth2 client id here)
->withClientSecret(your oauth2 client secret here)
->withRefreshToken(your stored refresh token here)
->build();

Re: BatchJobService not returning downloadUrl

2018-06-05 Thread wesley
I am having this issue (with the same result as what I sent in the private
message) with at least the following 3 batch_job_ids:
744483651
744483600
745226632

That is all I can find in the error logs, so it should just be these 3.

Also, should we always expect to have a `downloadUrl` from now on? If we
don't have one, should I just raise the issue here again?
