Hi Yogesh,

Based on the other thread

 you
opened, it seems you are working originally on reports, thus, let me
respond in this new question on report perspective. Regarding your concern, you
can generate the Campaign Location Target Report

 and
use either the CampaignId

 or
the ExternalCustomerId

 fields
as filters.

Thanks and regards,

2018-07-30 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

The image file size limit depends on the image that you are trying to
upload. You may check and follow this guide

 for
specifications of their dimension and size. If the issue persist after
following the specifications in the link, could you provide the complete
SOAP request and response logs when you encountered the error? Please reply

Change of Error Types When Attaching Bidding Strategies

2018-07-30 Thread Dorian Kind
Hi,

we run daily integration test for our Adwords API framework. Since July 25,
a couple of these tests fail because of what appears to be a change in
returned error codes.

Specifically, we try to attach a bidding strategy to an adgroup (which was
possible up to v201705, but disallowed from then on), and check whether the
returned error is *CANNOT_ATTACH_BIDDING_STRATEGY_TO_ADGROUP* (link to
reference
).

A second test attaches a bidding strategy to an AdGroupCriterion, which we
expect to similarly fail with an
*CANNOT_ATTACH_BIDDING_STRATEGY_TO_ADGROUP_CRITERIA* (link

).

Both of these operations now return an
*OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CAMPAIGN_TYPE *error, which seems a bit
confusing as the campaign in question is a regular search campaign.

Can we expect this new error type to stay going forward, or is it an
oversight that will be rolled back?

Thanks for any feedback and best regards,
Dorian

FWIW, I just noticed that the described change in error codes coincided
exactly with the sunset date of API v201710. We currently use v201802.

Just to clarify, the change in error codes was with v201802 both before and

Re: Change of Error Types When Attaching Bidding Strategies

2018-07-30 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Dorian,

Could you confirm if you still require assistance? It may be worth noting
that in the release notes of v201806
,

MANUAL_CPM is no longer allowed to be applied to search campaigns and a
specific error message has been defined if this was being applied directly
to the said campaign.

However, since you are using the v201802
,

the above mentioned changes in bidding should not yet be applicable. If
anything is still unclear, you may send to me the complete SOAP request and
response should you need that we look into this further and you may reply
using the *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Impossible to create a valid test account

2018-07-30 Thread development
I have taken the following steps:

1) Create production MCC account
2) Create *test* manager MCC account
(https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/accounts-overview)
3) Within the *test* MCC account I have created 2 subaccounts.
4) When I click one either of those sub accounts, a red banner appears
saying 'Your account isn't active - To activate your account and start
running your ads, enter your billing information.'
5) On the right of the banner there is a link saying: 'Fix it'
6) Clicking this link brings me to an almost empty page with the text
saying that I can't add billing info since my account has been cancelled

This look like a chicken/egg problem
How can I fix this?

Thanx Frits

~3x discrepancy between TrafficEstimatorService and Keyword Planner (Not using a test account)

2018-07-30 Thread Sebastian Razola
keyword: *san diego hotels on the beach*
locations: *all*
language: *english*

According to the Keyword Planner's search volume and forecasts tool I would
get ~1500 impressions on August 1. See attached screenshot. (Daily
impressions between 1-10 August range between 1300-1700 impressions)

According to the TrafficEstimatorService I would get 445-544 daily
impressions. See the debug output from the Adwords API Ruby gem below.

What could be the cause of this huge discrepancy?

Thanks!

Last change timestamp from CustomerSyncService displaying incorrect result

2018-07-30 Thread matthew . horrocks
I'm using the CustomerSyncService in order to find what changes have
happened in the last 5 days and when the last change was. The former works
find however the last change timestamp seem to show the last time the
account was viewed in the adwords UI.

I ran a test on an account that hadnt been changed or had any activity in a
over a year, but when I ran the CustomerSyncService I got a last change
timestamp of about 10 minutes ago, when I viewed the account in the UI.

TrafficEstimatorService returning invalid data (I'm not using a test account)

2018-07-30 Thread Sebastian Razola
Keyword: *san diego hotels on the beach*
Max CPC: *7 SEK*
Locations: *All*
Languages: *English*

According to the TrafficEstimatorService I will get between 464 and 567
daily impressions. (See the attached debug output from the AdWords API Ruby
client Gem below)

But according to the Keyword Planner's volume and forecast tool I will get
~1500 impressions on August 1. (See the attached screenshot). I've also
checked the search volume for then next 10 days and they all range between
1300-1700 impressions.

What could explain this huge discrepancy?

Thanks!

/Sebastian

Where can I find developer token

2018-07-30 Thread tomaz . bratanic

Hi all,

I am trying to find the developer token for google ads, but I can't find
the *AdWords API Center under the options. I saw it states that I need
management account access, but I don't understand how is that different
from the administrative access that I have right now?*

*Cheers,*

Re: Export Data from Bid Landscape

2018-07-30 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Kara,

You could use the AdGroupCriterionService.get()

 method
to retrieve the id

 of
criterion. You may check this sample code

 in
Java (also available in other languages) for your reference. In reports,
you could get the criteriaId by searching the report field name in this link
.
Also, you could check this guide
 for
table of criterion IDs.

Feel free to write back if your have further clarifications.

Regards,
Luis

Re: Where can I find developer token

2018-07-30 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Tomaz,

If you can't see the API Center in your AdWords account, you may be using
an AdWords client account. You could only see the API Center when you are
using an Ads Manager account/MCC account
. If you don't have
an MCC account yet, you may create by following this guide
. Let me know
if you have further clarifications.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Impossible to create a valid test account

2018-07-30 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

If you are just going to test the AdWords API using those test accounts,
you could just ignore those red banner as the AdWords test account does not
actually serve ads and does not need to fill up the billing information.
However, if your goal is to serve real ads using a production account and
manage your account via the API, you could apply for basic access

then you could create your client account under your production MCC
account. Also, take note that the compliance team will contact you within
two business days for the status of your developerToken application.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks and regards,
Luis

Re: Last change timestamp from CustomerSyncService displaying incorrect result

2018-07-30 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Matthew,

The lastChangeTimestamp

 will
only determine the date of last activity that was done on that account. It
will not, however, provide the timestamp of when a specific object was
changed. If you think that there should be no activity generated, could you
provide the screenshot in UI that shows the change history in your account
and also the complete SOAP request and response logs of the
CustomerSyncService
