Re: how to create an ad variation with systemManagedEntitySource?

2019-01-15 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Chiwan,

There is no hierarchy between the ads themselves as the ads could only
belong to an ad group as shown in this guide
.

Let me know if I misunderstood your concern.

Best regards,
Luis

Re: how to create an ad variation with systemManagedEntitySource?

2019-01-15 Thread Chiwan Leung
Hi,Lui. Thanks for your reply.
BG here:
If we use this function in UI. It's said that 50%(or we can set another I
don't remember actually) of the impression will go to the ad variation.
I mean, if I add an new ad via api with systemManagedEntitySource set to
ad_variation. What will happen to this new ad? What will happen to the old
ones?

Re: how to create an ad variation with systemManagedEntitySource?

2019-01-15 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Chiwan,

Unfortunately, creation and management of ad variations is currently not
supported in AdWords API. The systemManagedEntitySource field is read only
and its only use is for you to be able to identify the experimental ads
created by the ad variations feature (you may also refer here

 for
more information).

Problem about rate exceeded error

2019-01-15 Thread 노각민
Hello,
I'm using adwords api to request for ad data.

We have about 40 accounts, and send request three times at different time
per day for every accounts,
In other words, we send 40 requests at one time, and send another 40
request after few hours later, all 3 times everyday.
We know that there is limit for request rate, so we made 20 seconds
interval for every request.

But recently, rate exceeded error occurs in every request, we cannot
receive any correct response for our request, and after several hours, the
error does not disappear, how can we solve this problem, or modify our
request code

Thanks

Ad object is immutable in AdWords?

2019-01-15 Thread z_anatolii
Ad object is immutable in AdWords. To modify Ad, you must pass the REMOVE
operation for the current Ad object and the ADD operation for the new Ad
object with the changed attributes.
Have I do this in any case? (when I changing any attribute in Ad) or Can I
updating some attributes and pass the SET operation?

Adwords API Budget Error NON_MULTIPLE_OF_MINIMUM_CURRENCY_UNIT

2019-01-15 Thread Ronak Shah
Hello,

We are trying to set the daily budget via Adwords API but api call is
getting failed.

Here are below Details

$daily_budget = 33.51;
$micro_amount = (float) ($daily_budget  * 100);

so if we convert to micro amount it becomes (33.51 * 100) = 3351

But API throws error [BudgetError.NON_MULTIPLE_OF_MINIMUM_CURRENCY_UNIT @
operations[0].operand.amount].We also type casted to float but still gives
same problem.Please check below Money object.

object(Google\AdsApi\AdWords\v201809\cm\Money)#790 (3) {

  ["microAmount":protected]=>

  float(3351)

  ["ComparableValueType":protected]=>

  NULL

["parameterMap":"Google\AdsApi\AdWords\v201809\cm\ComparableValue":private]=>

  array(1) {

["ComparableValue.Type"]=>

string(19) "ComparableValueType"

  }

}

We are using PHP client library v201809 and PHP version 7

Please check

Thanks,
Ronak

Problem with CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT

2019-01-15 Thread Taras
I download data from CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT via API v201809.
At the same time I download data from CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.

I use fileds: Cost, Impressions, Clicks.

The SUM in total of this fields (Cost, Impressions, Clicks) has some
differens beetween two repots: CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT,
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

Numbers from CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT are the same like in Web-inferface
- everything is OK.

But number from CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT is little bit bigger. I
don't understand why?

Can you download this two reports for account 478-325-6348 and dates
2018-12-01 - 2018-12-31 all campaigns (no restrictions) and see the
difference.

My excpectations: SUMs should be the same. But I didnt get.

The code is below:
1)
fields = ['CampaignId', 'CampaignName', 'CampaignStatus', 'Id', 'Date',
'Interactions', 'InteractionTypes', 'Clicks', 'Impressions',
'Cost','Engagements', 'VideoViews', 'ViewThroughConversions',
'AveragePosition', 'CampaignStatus']
include_zero_impressions = True
report_query = (adwords.ReportQueryBuilder()
  .Select(*fields)
  .From('CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT')
  .Where('CampaignStatus').In('ENABLED', 'PAUSED')
  .During(start_date.strftime('%Y%m%d') + ',' +
end_date.strftime('%Y%m%d'))
  .Build())

res = report_downloader.DownloadReportAsStringWithAwql(
report_query, 'CSV', skip_report_header=True,
skip_column_header=False, skip_report_summary=True,
include_zero_impressions=include_zero_impressions)
import pandas as pd
from io import StringIO
adwords_df = pd.read_csv(StringIO(res))

2)
report = 'CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT'
fields_query = ['Date', 'AccountDescriptiveName', 'AdvertisingChannelType',
'AdvertisingChannelSubType',  'AdNetworkType1', 'CampaignId',
'CampaignName', 'Impressions', 'Clicks', 'Cost', 'AccountCurrencyCode']

report_query = (adwords.ReportQueryBuilder()

Re: Problem about rate exceeded error

2019-01-15 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

In AdWords API, we do not have a fixed Queries per second limit. Instead,
the rate limits can fluctuate based on different variables, including
server load. Please refer this section

of
guide for better clarity. If you are hitting Rate exceeded error with
ACCOUNT scope rate limit, you will need to slow down and take control as
elaborated in this section

of
the guide. If you are getting DEVELOPER scope rate limit, it implies that
the daily limit of requests has been reached that is, with Basic access,
you will be able to make only 1000 report downloads and 10,000 operations
in a day. To execute an unlimited number of operations and report requests
per day, you can apply for Standard access

by
filling out the application form as mentioned in this section

 of
the guide. Please note that the Account rate limits
 will
still apply.

Dhanya, AdWords API Team

RE: CustomerSyncService is not returning data for remarketing or audience

Hello Chirag,

The CustomerSyncService

will

return the changed entities for a customer account or campaign based on the
given date range within the last 90 days. However, please note that this
will only return the changes at the Campaign level, AdGroup level along
with the changed criteria Ids. If you're looking to pull audience status
changes through the API, I'm afraid it is currently not possible to do so.
You may use the change history to check the changes from the web interface
as an alternative.

pull the CpcBid and CpmBid fields. For example, I was able to check the

RE: Retrieving a tree of all customers

2019-01-15 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Marc,

Thanks for your patience. I checked with my team and confirmed that it is
an expected behavior of the customer_client, in fact in Google Ads API only
one resource is responsible for a field to maintain normalization. Since
the descriptive_name is a field in Customer resource, for each of the
client_customer would have to call customer resource. Please let me know if
you have any further questions.

under my MCC, the sub MCCs and accounts under that sub MCCs as well.

Also the Customer.id and customer.descriptive_name are same for all as the
call made with that account and customer object refers to. I am getting in
touch with the team to see if there is a possibility to get them in a
single call. I will update you once I have more information. meanwhile you
can double check whether you are receiving all the accounts in the
hierarchy under your MCC with that query. If not, please share the query

To do this I'm using the new Google Ads API (v0.7) to retrieve the

retrieve the customer information such as the DescriptiveName.
But for a simple tree with two levels and a total of 37 customers this
takes around a minute.

The API methods seem rather slow. Is that normal?

Also, I need to retrieve the links and the customerdata for every found
customerId to check if they have subaccounts and to get the name.
Because of this I need to perform a lot of calls which could (with a large
tree) easily hit the rate limit.
It would be better if I could retrieve all the available customers (paged)
in one call instead of having to recursively find them.

Re: Get readout from AdGroupCriterionService selector

2019-01-15 Thread Yang Yang
Thanks Bharani for checking the criteria. There is not yet setting at
criteria level. This is the next step I am moving forward with, so want to
make sure I am understanding the service ahead of time. Can I actually set
and query tcpa at adgroup criterion level?

Google Ads Beta API - How to Upload Store Sales Direct conversions

2019-01-15 Thread john
Hello All,

Will the Google Ads API support uploading Store Sales Direct conversions as
seen here:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/conversion-tracking#store_sales_direct_conversions

I cannot find it anywhere in the Google Ads Beta API. So, I'm curious if
it's being deprecated or not, or if I'm just missing it.

Thank you,
John

Uploading Store Conversion through the Google Ads Beta API

2019-01-15 Thread john
I noticed that you can upload Store Sales Direct conversions through the
Google *Adwords* API here:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/conversion-tracking#store_sales_direct_conversions

However, I cannot find how to do this through the Google *Ads Beta *API.
Is it possible to do this? Or, will you be adding it or deprecating
altogether?

Thank you,
John

Google merchant center test account to test shopping campaigns

2019-01-15 Thread chaitanya
Hi Team,

I need to create a new shopping campaign by using the Google AdWords API.
But before that, I wanted to check the end to end flow for shopping
campaign with Google Ads and Google Merchant Center UI just to test the
functionality.
I've completed the following steps:

- Created Google Ads Manager and Client account
- Created Google merchant center account and linked the above account with
it.
- Using the content APIs, I uploaded some products to the merchant center

But while creating a shopping campaign from my client account, I'm not able
to proceed beyond step 1 i.e providing campaign settings.
Currently, I've not provided any campaign URL as I don't have any website
to point to. I am also not sure about how to add the template URL and
suffix. Would be great if someone can guide me on this.

Could you please let me know if there is any way to use the existing Google
merchant center account as a test account where I don't need to provide the
campaign URL?

keywords performance report, labels and lableids are empty for some records

2019-01-15 Thread yliu
Hello All,

I am not sure if this is an issue: After I fetched records of keywords
performance report through API, some records have values in labels and
lableids fields and some don't.
The business side insist that every record should have a value in labels
and lableids. Can someone explain to me why some values are missing?

Thanks

RE: Can't connect to API / python3

2019-01-15 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

You are on the right track for setting up the API.

In step #3, the test client accounts may not be visible as these test
accounts would be in cancelled status and hidden in the regular view. You
could see them by following the steps given below:

   - Sign in to your Google Ads manager account .
   - Open the navigational panel by pointing your cursor over the left-hand
   side of the page, or clicking the arrow icon in the upper left corner.
   - Click the 3-dot icon on the navigation panel, then click the check box
   for cancelled accounts.

In step #6, could you confirm if you specified the client customer id of
the test manager account or the test client account? To make API calls to
CampaignService
,
AdGroupCriterionService

etc, you will need to specify the client customer id of the test client
account in which the campaign and keywords exist and not that of the
manager account. If you are specifying the right client customer Id, could
you please enable logging

and share the SOAP logs of your API call? You could share the details
using reply privately to author option.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

RE: keywords performance report, labels and lableids are empty for some records

2019-01-15 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Yang,

Labels

 and LabelIds

are

manually implemented in your objects upon creation or through modification
using the mutate() method. If this step was not taken, then that would be
the reason as to why the report fields in question do not have values
returned.

That said, could you confirm if someone from your team has indeed added
labels to all your keywords and are now facing the discrepancy as you
described? If yes, could you provide to me your clientCustomerId and the
complete report definition

you

used when you generated the report?

You may reply to me via the *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Hello All,

I am not sure if this is an issue: After I fetched records of keywords

The business side insist that every record should have a value in labels
and lableids. Can someone explain to me why some values are missing?

Thanks

Hi Hei,

To better investigate this, could you also provide your complete SOAP
request logs together with the clientCustomerID set in your header so I
could take a look at this on my end? Please reply via *Reply privately to

Re: CustomerSyncService is not returning data for remarketing or audience

2019-01-15 Thread cv
Hello Bharani,

Thanks for the Info.
So UI will show all the changes history but at a same time API will provide
changes based on Campaign Level.

Any other way to track this type of changes or not at all possible through
API?

Thanks,

RE: Google merchant center test account to test shopping campaigns

2019-01-15 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

On the AdWords API Perspective, before you can create a Shopping campaign,
you need to first link your Google Ads account to your Google Merchant
Center account. Once done linking both accounts, you should be able to
create your shopping campaign by following this guide

which

includes sample code here

(also

available in other languages). Also, you could do that using your Google
Ads test account as long as you have Google Merchant Center account.

With regards to the "campaign URL" that you mentioned, could you clarify on
which part do you need this? As far as I know you could just create any
dummy URL if your purpose is for testing only.

In case you encountered any error while creating shopping campaigns, please
provide your complete SOAP request and response logs so I could take a look
on the issue then please reply via *Reply privately to author*.

Thanks and regards,
Luis
