RE: Get Balance with Adwords API

2019-01-31 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

Balance information is still not directly available via the AdWords API.
Please continue to follow our blog
 for
updates.

However, as a workaround, you can compute the remaining balance by
subtracting the total Cost

of

the Account Performance Report

from

your known budget.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Hello Bharani,

I got your point. But earlier to 4.1.0, we used to create the campaign with
type DISPLAY for both contact-based audiences as well as the device-based
audiences. Is this a recent change from the latest SDK as we are facing
this after upgrading to 4.1.0? Could you please confirm this?

RE: Manage account settings via API

2019-01-31 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

Could you confirm if you are using the AdWords API
 or the Google
Ads API Beta ? If
you are using the Google Ads API Beta, you could refer to the
CustomerService.MutateCustomer()

and

edit the Customer

class (auto_tagging_enabled, final_url_suffix, etc.). However, some
settings from the screenshot you sent cannot be set in the Google Ads API
Beta.

If you are using the AdWords API, you can also use the
CustomerService.mutate()

method to set your Customer

settings. However, some settings also cannot be set in the AdWords API.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Hello Zeid,

Currently, we do not have a separate dashboard to explore AdWords API. The
API calls are made based on the different client libraries as per the user
requirement. You may refer to the API Call structure guide
 which
describes the elements of an API call and demonstrates making a basic call
using cURL.

RE: Inconsistent response from Search Query for AdGroup in the Beta Ads API

2019-01-31 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Darshan,

We will be requiring *login-customer-id* starting February 11th. It is
currently not required in our API, but it's fine if you specify it. We
rolled it out yesterday, but some API users said they needed more time. So,
we are waiting until February 11th to roll it out again. You can already
make the change. That's fine. That way you'll be ready on February 11th
when we require it.

Cheers,

In the original code, only the biddingStrategyConfiguration was created
without even creating a biddingScheme.

And pass manual_cpm and set it wrong. I also tested it with both versions
(v201806 / v201809). It is set wrong every time.

The same error is described with the version 201802.

Unfortunately, it is not exactly what needs to be done to solve the problem.

The solution proposals that were delivered always lead to the same error.
can you please check it?

RE: Unable to link the audience to ad group

2019-01-31 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Srinivas,

I was able to take a look at the specific User list and it looks like it is
not compatible for Display network. Also, if the user lists consists of
Customer Match with email address, address, or user ID, these audience
lists are eligible to serve on Google Search, YouTube, and Gmail but will
not be available on the Google Display Network. Could you please confirm if
you're able to upload the list through the UI and see if you're able to
target this? This will help us troubleshoot this further.

RE: AdGroup Negative Placements Performance Report??

2019-01-31 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Han Vo,

My apologies for the delay in responding. This one is an odd one. I found
that the actual YouTube channel is not in those reports. It's the one piece
that is missing compared to the UI. The only place that I see detailed
information is in the Url Performance Report

in

the CriteriaParameters and the Url. That has the exact video where it
showed. The downside is that this report is a single attribution report and
not a multi-attribution report, so you won't see all of them like you do in
the placements report and the automatic placements report. However, you'll
at least get more details on the exact locations where these ads were
placed.

Please take a look in the UI at the *Placements WHERE ADS SHOWED *report.
You will see that there is no column for ad. This is why you do not see the
ad in the API report. Do you see the channel ID in the UI report? Perhaps I
missed it. If it is not in the UI, then it will not be in that report
either. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way to connect all that
data together across reports.

Hello,

Thanks for confirming. This is an expected limitation of the AdWords API.
Our team is aware of this issue. If you are looking to extract the results
shown in the new Google Ads UI, then you may need to start using the Google
Ads API beta API
to

extract this data or use the results form UI. The values from AdWords API
are more sync with the old version of keyword planner UI. You could use
'Return to previous AdWords' option by the 'Tools, billing, and settings'
icon to move old UI. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Permission denied

2019-01-31 Thread Niels van der Molen
Today, I suddenly got a permission denied error on all calls of the Google
Ads API to my test accounts.

I tried with a new OAuth refresh token. I do not get the error when using
the manager's customer id but you have to get to the client id directly to
manage campaigns. Also tried to create a new test client but the same
permission denied error. I do have access to the client from the Google
Adwords UI.

Test manager id: 8136493746
Test client id: 3211402788

Is there anything that has changed on your side, it was working two days
ago?

Error: google.api_core.exceptions.PermissionDenied: 403 The caller does not have permission

2019-01-31 Thread Inspired UM
Hi,

I was using Google Ads Api Beta successfully for a while, created few
automated reports with Python 3, but noticed that my reports are not
running anymore.
It turns out I have no permissions, although as far as I know nothing
changed with accounts and permissions.

Example code below:
*SCOPE = u'https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords'*
*Client_id = 'X.apps.googleusercontent.com'*
*Secret = 'XX-x'*
*client =
google.ads.google_ads.client.GoogleAdsClient.load_from_storage("C:\Google
API\google-ads.yaml")*
*ga_service = client.get_service('GoogleAdsService')*

*customer_id='7932398349'*
*query = ('SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, ad_group.id, ad_group.name, '*
* 'ad_group_criterion.criterion_id, '*
* 'ad_group_criterion.keyword.text, '*
* 'ad_group_criterion.keyword.match_type, '*
* 'metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.video_views, date '*
* 'FROM keyword_view '*
* 'WHERE date DURING YESTERDAY '*
* 'ORDER BY metrics.impressions DESC '*
* )*

google-ads.yaml contains :
1. developer_token
2. client_id
3.  client_secret
4. refresh_token

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you.

Re: Cannot set BiddingStrategyConfiguration Manual_cpm -> pay for Viewable Impressions

2019-01-31 Thread geo

Hello,

i think this is an error on the api.
i have already try to send it without the
$biddingScheme->setViewableCpmEnabled(TRUE);
and also without any $biddingScheme.

Re: Add a new SiteLink to and Existing AdGroup with Google Ads API Beta 0.6 (PHP)

2019-01-31 Thread Vito Zongoli
Dear Bharani,
thanks for the answer, I'm using Google Ads API and I saw that I can "play"
with the feed service and the PlaceholderType but it's still not clear to
me how to create a sitelink.
Could anybody in the team provide just a quick code example supposing
that's already available and adGroupId and an adGroupResourceName?
It should be pretty quick do to for who put together these APIs.

Thanks,
Vito

Re: Add a new SiteLink to and Existing AdGroup with Google Ads API Beta 0.6 (PHP)

2019-01-31 Thread Vito Zongoli
Dear Bharani,
thanks for the answer, I'm using Google Ads API and I saw that I can "play"
with the feed service and the PlaceholderType but it's still not clear to
me how to create a sitelink.
Could anybody in the team provide just a quick code example supposing
that's already available and adGroupId and an adGroupResourceName?
It should be pretty quick do to for who put together these APIs.

Thanks,
Vito

2019-01-31 Thread 김태원
hello

I want to use Retrieving keyword ideas (TargetingIdeaService).
But my sample code (as suggested by Google) does not work.
I did a search in this group, but I do not have the right results for me.
Please help me. thanks~

Please refer to the attached file for my code.
adwords_client = adwords.AdWordsClient.LoadFromStorage('googleads.yaml')
targeting_idea_service = adwords_client.GetService('TargetingIdeaService',
version='v201809')
offset = 0
PAGE_SIZE = 100
selector = {
'ideaType': 'KEYWORD',
'requestType': 'IDEAS'
}
selector['requestedAttributeTypes'] = [
'KEYWORD_TEXT', 'SEARCH_VOLUME', 'CATEGORY_PRODUCTS_AND_SERVICES']
offset = 0
selector['paging'] = {
'startIndex': str(offset),
'numberResults': str(PAGE_SIZE)
}
selector['searchParameters'] = [{
'xsi_type': 'RelatedToQuerySearchParameter',
'queries': ['space cruise']
}]

And the error log is copied and displayed below.

googleads.errors.GoogleAdsServerFault: TargetingIdeaError.INVALID_SEARCH_PARAMETERS in python

2019-01-31 Thread 김태원
Hi

I am testing TargetingIdeaService (google ads api). However, the source
code suggested by Google does not work and I am posting a question here.

The source code is written the same as the sample code, but
[TargetingIdeaError.INVALID_SEARCH_PARAMETERS] error is occurring.

Has anyone solved this problem?
Thank you for your help.

The attachment is the source file you are creating.

Please write down some of the source code and error logs below and I would
appreciate your help.
