Re: GoogleAds RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED Rate Limits

2019-03-05 Thread Caihua Du
Hi Luis,

We saw this in Google Ads doc:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/access-levels, looks like
we do have the doc for rate limit, can you please clarify?

Also can you please clarify based on which criteria that server think there
are too many request? Is this at dev token level or account level? We used
to have the concept of rate scope that tells us the reason of throttling
error (due to the dev token usage or due to account usage, please check
this: https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits).
If my request is throttled how can should I address accordingly without the
throttling reason?

Thanks,
Caihua.

RE: AdWords API Deprecation

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Raffy,

The AdWords API will be deprecated the day Google Ads API v1 comes out
(i.e. no bug fixes except critical failures) and will be sunset (i.e.
retired, so all API calls will fail permanently) a year later. You can then
plan to migrate any of your applications which uses the AdWords API to the
new Google Ads API.

libraries (Java in our case) instead of the AdWords API client libraries.
Should we accelerate that migration or will there be a generous deprecation
schedule? Thanks.

RE: GoogleAds RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED Rate Limits

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Kevin,

Currently, Google Ads API has no documentation for rate limits. The
QuotaCheckError.RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED

will

occur if you are sending too many requests in a short period of time. There
is no scope for this error but rather the server will throw this error once
it detects that your request has exceeded the system frequency limit. The
best solution to this is to set up short delays between requests or combine
more operations in fewer requests.

RE: How top get Campaign details in an object

Hi,

You could download the Campaign Performance Report

as this report will provide you campaign level metrics. Also, take note
that metrics are not supported in the AdWords API services. You could refer
to this guide
 on how to
pull reports using the AdWords API. For visualization, I am afraid that
this is not supported in the AdWords API, you have to implement this
feature on your end.

As for your concern about the ImpressionReach

there is an on-going discussion on why this filed is not retrievable in the
AdWords API reports as of the moment. I will provide you with updates once
available.

RE: Will "setting bids" be available in Google Ads API?

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Mat,

Setting of bid is available in Google Ads API. Same in AdWords API you
could set the bid at AdGroup

 or AdGroupCriterion

level

as you could see on the sample code here

.

Thanks and regards,

RE: [PHP] Google Ads - How to link an existing Google Adwords (or Ads) Account to my Google Ads MCC ?

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Ludovic,

Thanks for your patience, I was able to expand the invitation to the client
from my manager account using customerClientLinkService in Java. At this
point I was only able to provide you the entire snippet in Java, apologies
for that. While creating the customerCleintLink, you have to give the
resource name of the client account you want to link and the status of the
ManagerLinkStatus should be in PENDING status, if you are expanding the
invitation. These two fields are mandatory. You could try the similar steps
in PHP to perform mutate call to customerClientLinkService. Our team is
aware that the code samples are not yet available for
customerClientLinkService,

we will update them soon. Please let me know if you have any further
questions.

Code Snippet Below in Java to expand the invitation to the client account
from the manager account:

private void runExample(
   GoogleAdsClient googleAdsClient, long customerId) {
   try (CustomerClientLinkServiceClient
customerClientLinkServiceClient = googleAdsClient.
getCustomerClientLinkServiceClient())
  {
  //creatign resource name for customer
  String customerResourceName = ResourceNames.customer(
*123456789L*);//the client account to which you are expanding the
invitation.

  //Creating customerClientLink object
 CustomerClientLink customerClientLink =
CustomerClientLink.newBuilder()
 .setClientCustomer(StringValue.of(customerResourceName))
 .setStatus(ManagerLinkStatus.PENDING)
 .build();

  //creating operation for the mutate request
 CustomerClientLinkOperation operation =
CustomerClientLinkOperation.newBuilder()
 .setCreate(customerClientLink)
 .build();

 // Send the operation in a mutate request.
 MutateCustomerClientLinkResponse response =
 customerClientLinkServiceClient.mutateCustomerClientLink("
*18xx17*", operation);// Your manager account Id should be placed in
the mutate call.
 // Print the resource name of each updated object.
 System.out.println(response.getResult());
}
 }

GoogleAds RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED Rate Limits

2019-03-05 Thread Kevin
Hi,

I saw a previous post related to the issue I'm having:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/adwords-api/resource_exhausted%7Csort:date/adwords-api/ZqvA-qZrI9Y/CTsJCmvyAAAJ
and know that his solution was to revert back to using AdWords API.

In the future this will not be an option, so is there any documentation on
what the limits are?
Also, when I receive RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED, what scope is this rate limit at?
(eg. RequestCustomer+Resource, LoginCustomer+Resource, Token)

Best,
Kevin

RE: Error when batch creating adgroup with 17,200+ product groups

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Richard,

While creating the product partitions, remember that each subdivision must
contain an "empty" case value of the correct type, representing "all other
values". Basically, you have to create another empty subdivision that
represents all other categories to complete the product partition table,
the partition table should be always completed. When you miss the others
subdivision then it is likely to see the PRODUCT_PARTITION_SUBDIVISION_

REQUIRES_OTHERS_CASE

error.

You could refer this guide

for

more information. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

There are multiple links imported in my google sheet, which are flagged as

Is this a common problem with this script? Can you explain the issue?

Hello,

Since the PercentageMobileFriendlyClicks

is the percentage of mobile clicks that go to a mobile-friendly page. The
value of the % will be represented in double but the field is represented
in percentage. You have to convert the value at your end in the format
required.

RE: USER_PERMISSION_DENIED,User doesn't have permission to access customer,"errorCode": { "authorizationError": "USER_PERMISSION_DENIED"

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Peter,

Basically, the loginCustomerId is to specify which user is making calls to
the API. If you are making calls on behalf of your client account with the
credentials of the user of your manager account, then the manager account
CID should be placed as loginCustomerId without dashes in the properties
file. If you are making calls to the client account with the credentials of
the user of the account itself then in such case loginCustomerId will be
the CID of the client account. I tried with my test accounts and this is
working fine. Also, it is recommended to upgrade your Java client library
to the latest v0.7.0
 if not
yet upgraded. If you are still facing the PERMISSION_DENIED error. Please
share the loginCustomerId, clientCustomerId and the email address of the
user authenticating the call along with the request _id of the API call for
further investigation. You could use reply privately to the author option
while sharing the information requested.

Sai Teja, Google Ads API Team

RE: customer hierarchy with CustomerManagerLink and CustomerClientLink.

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

Unfortunately, It is not possible to get the descriptive name of all the
accounts in a single API call. You have to iterate through all the
customers to get the descriptive_name. To keep the data normalized we are
holding only one resource responsible for a data field.

You could use the available customer fields in the customer

and can pass each customer Id to get the respective details of that
customer. Below is the sample search query to fetch the customer details
via customer resource.

Query in DotNet format given below:
Query = @"SELECT
  customer.resource_name,
  customer.descriptive_name,
  customer.id,
  customer.test_account,
  customer.tracking_url_template FROM customer",
  CustomerId = customerId.ToString() //Pass the customer Id
that you found on the resource name earlier.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Praveen,

The Google Ads workshops will not be live streamed. If you'd like to

Error when batch creating adgroup with 17,200+ product groups

2019-03-05 Thread richard . scorer
Hi, running into a strange problem with a batch processing job I ran today.
It's telling me that

errString=AdGroupCriterionError.PRODUCT_PARTITION_SUBDIVISION_REQUIRES_OTHERS_CASE

However, this same code path has worked on (many) previous batch jobs. The
possible difference is that this one is trying to create an ad group with
17,000+ product groups. I wonder if I am hitting a limit somewhere? We're
supposed to be able to have 20,000 product groups, so I'm a bit baffled :)

The ads account ID in this instance is 773-204-9788 and the batch job ID is
1137879402. I have a list of the operations if that would help (the text
file is 10Mb long though :) )

Here's a small sample:

 AdGroupCriterionOperation{operand=BiddableAdGroupCriterion{adGroupId=-2,
criterion=ProductPartition{id=-1, partitionType=SUBDIVISION}},
operator=ADD},
 AdGroupCriterionOperation{operand=BiddableAdGroupCriterion{adGroupId=-2,
biddingStrategyConfiguration=BiddingStrategyConfiguration{bids=[CpcBid{bid=Money{microAmount=1},

cpcBidSource=CRITERION}]},
criterion=ProductPartition{caseValue=ProductOfferId{value=2c8b-1b65-49d2-9536-e8899d313190},

id=-2, parentCriterionId=-1, partitionType=UNIT},
urlCustomParameters=CustomParameters{doReplace=true, parameters=[]}},
operator=ADD},
...
 AdGroupCriterionOperation{operand=NegativeAdGroupCriterion{adGroupId=-2,
criterion=ProductPartition{caseValue=ProductOfferId{}, id=-17253,
parentCriterionId=-1, partitionType=UNIT}}, operator=ADD},

Any ideas why this is failing?

Thanks :)

Richard

RE: [PHP] Google Ads - How to link an existing Google Adwords (or Ads) Account to my Google Ads MCC ?

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

Unfortunately, we don't have sample code for this operation available yet.

Essentially, the CustomerClientLink and CustomerManagerLink are two views
of the same link. The CustomerClientLink is from the perspective of the
manager account (customer), looking down at its client. The
CustomerManagerLink is from the perspective of the client account
(customer), looking up at its manager.

You need to create a CustomerClientLink (from the manager account) *first*,
to initiate the link. This request will require that you send the manager
CID to the API, and authenticate as a user who has access to the manager
account.

Then you need to modify the same link, but in the form of a
CustomerManagerLink (from the client account), to accept the invitation.
This request will require that you send the client CID to the API, and
authenticate as a user who has access to the client account.

These two operations in succession will successfully link the two accounts.

Regards,
Mike, Google Ads API Team

Hi Dannison,

The issue occurs for calls to different services such as MutateMembers and
GetUserList, but not too often. After a good number of successful calls to

Can you please provide your feedback on possible reasons for these sporadic

Re: customer hierarchy with CustomerManagerLink and CustomerClientLink.

2019-03-05 Thread heath
Is there a way to get the descriptive_names without making a separate call
for each customer_client? I have approximately 200 client accounts under a
manager account, and that's a lot of API calls to get the names of them.

PercentageMobileFriendlyClicks value in LANDING_PAGE_REPORT

2019-03-05 Thread Дмитро Булах
Hi there,
I'm using `PercentageMobileFriendlyClicks` field in LANDING_PAGE_REPORT
(python library)
in response rows this is represented as '96.63%'
Is there any possibility to get plain double value like 0.9663xx instead of
percentage format?

RE: [PHP] Google Ads - How to link an existing Google Adwords (or Ads) Account to my Google Ads MCC ?

2019-03-05 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

It looks like my last response went only to your private email address
instead of getting posted publicly on the forum. I apologize for that. I
will paste that response here:

To link two accounts using the Google Ads API, you first need to add a
CustomerClientLink from the manager account, then accept the invitation by
mutating the existing CustomerManagerLink from the client account. You
cannot initiate the process from the client account.
If you're still having trouble with the PHP library once you attempt to
follow this workflow, then you can file a bug for the PHP library
specifically here: https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/issues
