RE: The caller does not have permission

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Ramanajee,

As per this blog

post,

you will need to accept the updated Terms and Conditions
 to access the
production-ready versions of the Google Ads API. You could do this by
signing in to your Google Ads manager account then navigate to *API center*
where

you have your developer token. Scroll down to *API contact email*, and
update it. Then, scroll down to *Principal place of business*, accept the
new conditions, and click *Save*.

Once done, you may try your request again and see if it works.

Thanks and regards,
Luis

RE: Budget History

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Marcos,

To get the cpc of an ad group and a keyword, you could try and use the
fields ad_group.cpc_bid_micros

 and keyword_plan_keyword.cpc_bid_micros

and

use the segment.date

to filter out to get the equivalent value for a specific date. As for the
campaign level, you could use the
campaign.percent_cpc.cpc_bid_ceiling_micros

field.

You could try this out and let me know if you have further clarifications.

RE: How to solve DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED error ?

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Rod,

Upon further investigation, I found out that for a given Google Cloud
project ID, the Google Ads API only allows you to use one developer token.
The DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED error indicates that in the past, there was
at least one request to your Google Ads API using OAuth credentials from
the same project ID but different developer token.

The best way to resolve this issue is to create a new Google Cloud Project
ID, obtain a new OAuth2 credentials from a client under the new project ID,
and use those credentials in your requests with your developer token.

Let me know if it works.

Based on what you shared, it seems like you are only rate limited to

I also started running new ads on the 726-xxx-xxx account (which is the

much money on ads before I get this sorted). It seems it did not help, are
there certain limits to spendings or number of ads displayed etc that need
to be met to unlock the API rate limit? If this is indeed the case that you
need active ads running?

I had read that section a couple of times when searching for the problem. I
do not interpret the text the way that you need active ads? It only says
that new accounts can have this problem?

When you implement queuing or rate limiter strategies, it's important to
keep in mind that a new Google Ads account may have a significantly more
restrictive rate limit (i.e., lower QPS) than established accounts.

Typically, the more restrictive limits on new Google Ads accounts are
relaxed once the account has published ads.

Maybe I do not understand the definition of established account, two of the
accounts I am testing on are started years ago and have spent 10s of
thousands EUR on ads. Are they not considered established? Would having an
active ad campaign solve this even though it is never mentioned in that
section? I don't want to be confronting, I just want to be sure if this is
indeed a fix.

Thank you!

AdWords API Sample GetKeywordIdeas does not work.

2019-03-14 Thread Kosuke Shibayama
Hello,
I recently started the AdWords API and do not understand well yet.
I downloaded the sample for C#. But it does not work.

An exception occurs at the "page = targetingIdeaService.get(selector);"
when I use the sample GetKeywordIdeas.
The exception message is as follows.

*AdWordsApiException: Eine Ausnahme vom Typ
"Google.Api.Ads.AdWords.Lib.AdWordsApiException" wurde ausgelöst.*

*Error returned when a SearchParameter
doesn't match the IdeaType specified in the TargetingIdeaSelector or is otherwise
invalid. Error trigger usually contains the parameter name, and error
details contain a more detailed explanation.. (Error:
TargetingIdeaError.INVALID_SEARCH_PARAMETERS, FieldPath:
selector.searchParameters[1].adGroupId.adGroupId, Trigger: )*

But I do not change ideaType and SearchParameter of sample.

They are as follows.

*// Create selector.TargetingIdeaSelector selector = new
TargetingIdeaSelector{requestType = RequestType.IDEAS,ideaType =
IdeaType.KEYWORD,requestedAttributeTypes = new
AttributeType[]{AttributeType.KEYWORD_TEXT,AttributeType.SEARCH_VOLUME,AttributeType.AVERAGE_CPC,AttributeType.COMPETITION,AttributeType.CATEGORY_PRODUCTS_AND_SERVICES}};*

*List searchParameters = new List();*

*// Create related to query search parameter.RelatedToQuerySearchParameter
relatedToQuerySearchParameter =new RelatedToQuerySearchParameter{queries =
new string[]{"bakery","pastries","birthday
cake"}};searchParameters.Add(relatedToQuerySearchParameter);*

I first enter 412 as "Food, Beverages & Tobacco" when I use the sample.

I changed only the following part of App.config.

DeveloperToken

ClientCustomerId

OAuth2ClientId

OAuth2ClientSecret

OAuth2RefreshToken

My Access level is Basic Access.

I created OAuth2RefreshToken with OAuthTokenGenerator and then entered yes,
yes and blank.

Thankful for any advice!

SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED after developer token is approved.

2019-03-14 Thread SK
I have started to receiver SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED error since the developer
token was approved. I have a process that uploaded hashed info for customer
re marketing to Ads API, it worked fine on test account, but since the
developer token has been approved (which we needed in order to move the
process to production account), calls have started to fail in test & in
production with below message.

Request failed due to ApiException. Underlying ApiErrors:

  Error 0: AuthorizationError{apiErrorType=AuthorizationError,
errorString=AuthorizationError.SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED, fieldPath=,
reason=SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED, trigger=}

The documentation suggest that 'developer doesn't have access to this
service', which to us is a bit strange (like explained above). Also, in the
production account > Tools > Account Access, nothing seems different than
before.
Could you help or direct please?
Thank you.

2019-03-14 Thread 'Jean-Francois Allaire' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello, this is more of a constructive comment than a question.

The error mentioned in the title got me searching...

I found that when using

Object.prototype.toString.call(null)

Javascript traditionally returns the following:

"[object Null]"

But Google Ads Scripts returns

"[object Object]"

I don't know if this is dependant to a version of Ecmascript... (wouldn't
think so).

Well, I have a question:

Is there a list of known issues somewhere? (if yes, maybe this is already
there)

Mismatch Between Campaign-level Stats and Ad-level Stats on AdWords API Report

2019-03-14 Thread Austin Smith
I am seeing mismatches in *cost* values between campaign level cost, and
aggregated ad level cost, for several campaigns on API generated
performance reports.

This seems like an issue with data on the API - part of the issue here is
that the API seems to no longer be returning ad-level stats records that it
once did.

Is there an explanation for this behavior outside of an API issue?

Thanks and let me know!

RE: Can't mutate youtube media id with youtubeVideoMediaIdsOps in UAC

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Igor,

I think you missed the response on the forum thread here
.
Please find my response below:

Based on the error, it looks like you're missing the Youtube media Ids. You
will need to do a MediaService.get()

to

get the specific youtube media Id and then use the UniversalAppSetting

to

add the new media setting to the campaign. If you're still having an issue,
could you please share the API SOAP logs for the MediaService.get()
operation and the CampaignService.mutate() operation so I can take a closer
look? You may refer to the logging guide

here

for guidance on how to enable logging.

Thanks,
Bharani, AdWords API Team

RE: Google Ads API and Universal App Campaigns

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Jordan,

Just to clarify, please note that the previous response is applicable if
you're using the new Google Ads API.

If you're using AdWords API, you may find the list of supported report
types for Universal App campaigns here
.
The UniversalAppAd ad type

was

added in v201809

to

allow whitelisted users to create ad groups and ads in Universal App
campaigns. If you're seeing any discrepancy pulling them in the reports,
please share the client customer Id via Reply privately to author option.

RE: ListAccessibleCustomers Google Ads API

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Chirag,

The AdWords API Account Hierarchy code sample uses the
ManagedCustomerService.get() operation which returns all the accounts that
meet the criteria. The equivalent to this would be GetCustomerClientRequest

which

will return the accounts under a manager account. If you're looking to get
the accounts list of accounts that are directly accessible via your OAuth
credentials by issuing a CustomerService.ListAccessibleCustomers

request.

This will return all the accounts directly accessible by the user
authenticating the call.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Encoding seed list as bytes object

2019-03-14 Thread Si J
Hello

yes using that format, I've edited the format - was importing a csv as a
pandas dataframe and then to a list but not using the .to_list() function.

I'm having a new issue where I'm missing data for keywords that are
similar, looks like the API is returning a single dataset for similar
keywords - is this the case?

Thanks,
Si

I've done these steps and it still doesnt work,
I had done these steps through the google oauth playground before leading
to the same error though.

Another information : i have another gcp project where i created oauth2
credentials and i'm able to request google ads API with the API token but i
still cant achieve this goal with the second gcp project, still failin with
the same error.

I can find no informations on the documentations about how to solve that

Hello Sai,

To get these details the OAuth credentials used to make the API call should
> be of manager account and the ClientCustomerId passing in the header should
> be of manager account.

->Initially we do not have any customerId that could be pass to header.
Which service/resource I need to use to get those Accounts?
My question , one user has just authorised my webapp to get the details of
the adwords account, how can I know that which account he has given me
access for?
I am asking similar service like $CustomerService->getCustomers(); that we
used for Adwords API.
We will then check if that is MCC account or normal account and then follow
steps accordingly.

Thanks,

RE: RateExceededError

2019-03-14 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

The RateExceededError

with rateScope=DEVELOPER happens when you exceeded the limit on the number
of operations or report downloads daily (you may refer to this link

for more information). If you have a basic access of your developer token,
you have a limit of 10,000 operations and 1,000 report requests a day as
you can see in this guide

.

There are ways in order to resolve this issue. The first one is to upgrade
your developer token to standard access by filling out the application form
in this link
.
Doing so will allow you to have unlimited daily operations and report
downloads. The other simple way in order to resolve your issue is to slow
down

and retry your request on how many seconds as indicated on
RateExceededError.retryAfterSeconds.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Offline Conversions Username and PAssword

I found the solution after multiple tests.

It seems that they use Basic HTTP Authentification.

For PHP you can use $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW'].

Hope this is useful for others.

Re: Frequent time outs while accessing Adwords APIs

2019-03-14 Thread Dorian Kind
Hi,

FWIW, we're seeing the same issue with other Google APIs (such as Sheets),
also only in the AWS Ireland (eu-west-1) region. The root cause seems to be
closely related—we noticed that *.googleapis.com would only resolve to a
single IP address (always 74.125.193.95) from these hosts, whereas normally
and in all other AWS regions we tested, these queries resolve to multiple
addresses.

AWS support in our case pointed out the DNS discrepancy as most likely
reason for the timeouts and reset connections—they didn't find anything on
their end that might be the cause.

I've created an issue about this
 on Google's issue
tracker, but haven't heard back so far.

Regards,
Dorian
