searchvolumesearchparameter for targetingideaservice

2019-06-07 Thread Nathaniel Mcghie
Hello,

I am trying to filter my related keyword results by monthly search volume.
I am getting related keywords and stats but they are not filtered. I am
using python and this is how I have the searchvolumesearchparameter in my
selector structured:

{
  'xsi_type': 'SearchVolumeSearchParameter',
  'operation': {
  'maximum': 1,
  'minimum': 1
  }

}

As far as I can tell this is correct. Is there something I'm missing, can
you help please?

Thanks

Automation of search_term_view report and discrepancies in results

2019-06-07 Thread ArikN
Hello All ,
I used a little Python code snippet in order to generate a search_term_view
report on specific time frames ,

The select i am using is :
"SELECT segments.date, customer.id, customer.descriptive_name, campaign.id,
campaign.name, ad_group.id, ad_group.name, search_term_view.status,
search_term_view.search_term, ad_group_ad.ad.id, ad_group_ad.ad.type,
ad_group_ad.ad.text_ad.headline, ad_group_ad.ad.text_ad.description1,
ad_group_ad.ad.text_ad.description2,
ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part1,
ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part2,
ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part3,
ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.description,
ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.description2,
ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_dynamic_search_ad.description,
segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion, segments.keyword.info.text,
search_term_view.search_term, segments.ad_network_type,
segments.keyword.info.match_type, ad_group_ad.ad.display_url,
ad_group_ad.ad.final_urls, metrics.cost_micros, metrics.impressions,
metrics.clicks, metrics.conversions, metrics.interactions FROM
search_term_view WHERE segments.date BETWEEN \'2019-03-01\' AND
\'2019-04-01\'"

However - there is a big discrepancies between the total numbers
(impressions,clicks etc) that i generate on google ads (on the same time
frame of course) - search term report ,

What am i missing ?

Thanks

Question about examples in C# library

2019-06-07 Thread KevinW
I'm trying the following code from the C# example library but getting
connection errors which I thing is due to the correct parameters not being
passed

1- am I passing the customerId correctly? (the account I am trying to
read)? the long.Parse("123-456-7890") gives an error
(why is this converted to long when it is converted back to a string when
it is used in Run?)
2 - Should the 'client' include the AdWordsAPI parameters from the
app.config ? I have the correct data in the app.config but when debugging
the config section for client only shows defaults for some fields and empty
strings for the developerToken, etc
3 - if this is correct how do I fix it?

Enter code here...

[Google Ads API] Shopping Product Ad Headline Differences

2019-06-07 Thread Kevin
Hi,

When I get Shopping Product Ad Data from the AdWords API Ad Performance
Report, I get "Product listing ad; Promotion:"
back as the result. Now, when I get the data from Google Ads API (which
from the Migration Guide

should be "ad_group_ad.ad.text_ad.headline")
I get nothing. Is this known and expected behavior, or is the data missing?

Best,
Kevin

RE: KeywordPerformanceReport missing data.

2019-06-07 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Alejandro,

Thank you for reaching support. It is possible that some groups may not have
keywords statistics and this could be the reason you observe the discrepancy in
the two reports.The Keywords Performance report includes all statistics
aggregated at the keyword level, one row per keyword whereas the Ad Group
Performance report includes all stats aggregated by default at the ad group
level, one row per ad group.If this doesn't address your concern,could you
please share your account Id and queries for both the reports,so I can further
investigate from my end? Please reply using the Reply privately to author

RE: Retrieve All Conversions by Conversion Action Name

Hi John,

Apologies for the delay. I looked at this case, and your query returns the
following error when run against my account:

Failure: { "errors": [ { "errorCode": { "queryError":
"EXPECTED_REFERENCED_FIELD_IN_SELECT_CLAUSE" }, "message": "The following field
must be present in SELECT clause: 'segments.conversion_action_name'." } ] }

If you add segments.conversion_action_name as a field in your query, it should
work for you.

Re: Example for ConversionUploadService

2019-06-07 Thread Eeshan Kale
Hi Peter,

Unfortunately I can't get the logs for that response to pop up. I am
certain though the problem is with
'conversionUploadServiceClient.uploadClickConversions(clickConversionRequest)'
since after this statement, the program flow stops proceeding. I am also
seeing a vast number of complains about how the Google Ads API is way
slower than the Adwords API, so I wonder if that could be a problem.

I'm still working on trying to get the logs to work, but any error logs for
that statement don't seem to be working (all other logs seem to be working
fine)

KeywordPerformanceReport missing data.

2019-06-07 Thread Alejandro Valdes
Hi I'm using the .Net API to retrieve the KEYWORD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT but
when I compare the numbers against the Google Report I note some
differences for example in cost. I note that in ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
I have data for some groups that not exists in Keyword_Performance_Report,
so my question is: It's possible that some groups don't have keyword
statistics and for that reason I miss some costs
in  Keyword_Performance_Report ? Why ? Thanks.

Doubt about campaign status

2019-06-07 Thread Fede Serbin
Hi everybody!

I have an app where I want to store Googla campaigns and their status. I
see that the campaigns status of the API are
these:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/CampaignService.CampaignStatus

So the status are ENABLED, UNKNOWN, PAUSED and REMOVED.

But here, I see there are different
states: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/1722131?hl=en

Why are they different? Can I know using the API if a campaign has an ENDED
status for example?

Thank you!

Re: Error on upload html5 zip ad CUSTOMER_NOT_WHITELISTED_FOR_ASSET_TYPE

2019-06-07 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello,

Regret the delay as I was checking this internally with the team. It looks like
the error is related to this blog post, where existing accounts that have used
or are currently using HTML5 ads will be whitelisted, and will continue to be
able to upload HTML5 ads. If the account is new, or has never used HTML5 ads
before, they may apply for HTML5 access in the account by filling in the
whitelist request form. Could you please reach out to the Google Ads Product
team through using the help icon after logging into your account to request
whitelist for HTML5 ads.

Thanks,
Bharani, Google Ads API Team

Hi Sai,

What bidding Strategy type should I use, if I want to use automatic bidding
that maximize clicks? And as you know BiddingStrategyType.TARGET_SPEND will
be deprecated by 31 of June.
If I ignore the campaign's biddingStrategyType
(campaign.biddingStrategyConfiguration = null), I got the *Missing required

RE: Please! Help Me, i can't find API Center in my setting account

2019-06-07 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Vi,

Thank you for contacting support. I understand that you are looking for
developer token. Please note that developer token is associated with production
manager account. To confirm whether you account is a production manager account
you can check below:

For a Test account you will be having red label with Test on top right corner,
if you don't see that label your account is a production account.

By clicking on the question mark on the top right corner of the account you can
confirm if it is a manager account. It should specify "Your manager account
customer ID: XX-XXX-".

To have the API center option, you must have production manager account. You
could create a new manager account from here. If you still have concerns,
please share the account id of your manager account, I will confirm.

Re: Target Spend Bidding Strategy deprecation

2019-06-07 Thread Zied Chaari
Hello Sai,

I'm getting an error saying *Missing required field*, in the campaign
operation, when I'm trying to not using the bidding strategy configuration.
You could find bellow my amended code.

Campaign:

if(*is_autobid == false*)
{
BiddingStrategyConfiguration biddingStrategyConfiguration = new
BiddingStrategyConfiguration();
if(billing_event == "IMPRESSIONS")
{
biddingStrategyConfiguration.biddingStrategyType =
BiddingStrategyType.MANUAL_CPM;
}
else if(billing_event == "LINK_CLICKS")
{
biddingStrategyConfiguration.biddingStrategyType =
BiddingStrategyType.MANUAL_CPC;
}
campaign.biddingStrategyConfiguration = biddingStrategyConfiguration;
}

I'm using the *batchJobService*, and I couldn't retrieve the request and
response logs.

Thanks,
Zied

RE: Google Ads API missing fields

2019-06-07 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Tomas,

Not all resources can be retrieved in a single query. In your geographic view
query, you would not be able to retrieve ad level information as it is not
supported. You can refer to its documentation such as the Metrics, Segments,
Attribute Resources, and Selectable With dropdowns as to which fields you can
include in your query. The same should also apply to other views wherein the
said dropdowns should point to the fields you can select for the view.

As for the ISO code that you mentioned, could you confirm if what you meant is
actually the country code? If yes, you will have to retrieve it via the
geographic_view.country_geo_target_constant field instead.

Hi Shweta,

The AdWordsUserListService can be used to manage and create user lists.
However, it is currently not possible to Remove the complete user list using
the AdWordsUserListService.mutate() as the REMOVE operator is not supported.
You may refer to this sample on how to create and populate a user list in
Python.

Please let me know if you have further clarifications.

RE: Should we replace the AdWords API by the Ads API?

2019-06-07 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Rafael,

No worries, we're happy to assist you with your concern. Regarding the AdWords
API, it should still be available for users until sometime in 2020 as stated
here. However, I would recommend that you already start planning your migration
to the new Google Ads API, and migrate fully as early as possible.

I would also recommend that you follow our blog (if you haven't yet) and
regularly check for announcements/updates between the two APIs. Let me know if
this helps and feel free to write back if you have additional clarifications.

What's the difference between `video_views` and `impressions`

2019-06-07 Thread Yuto Kogure
Hello,

I use Adwords API for getting `VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT` and I have a
question about columns of `VideoViews` and `Impressions`.
I want to know the number of video viewd, and calculate
by VideoQuartile25Rate.
Which the following calculation is correct?

All video viewed count = VideoQuartile25Rate × VideoViews
All video viewed count = VideoQuartile25Rate × Impressions

I thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi,

The said fields cannot be set via the Google Ads API, you may only be able to
retrieve them. They should be generated once you setup conversion tracking. For
more information, you may refer to this guide.

Should you require further assistance on how to set this up, you may reach out

Re: Adwords API returns Sitelinks errors for other objects

> AdGroupExtensionSettingOperation and AdGroupAdOperation which should be

> AdGroupAdService. In such two API calls should be done.

Again, I am using a Batch Job to send these operations. This uses the
*BatchJobService*. If you look at the operations I posted in the initial
post, you will find that I do specify both the
AdGroupExtensionSettingService and the AdGroupAdService as the *xsi_type*
of each operation. We send all of our operations via the BatchJobService,
and haven't been seeing any issues except for the ones I described above.
As a reminder, the issue we are seeing is specifically if we send an
invalid sitelinks operation and any other operation in the same batch job.
When this happens, we get *sitelink's errors* for the objects that are* not
sitelinks* (in my example, for an ad).

To give you as much information as possible, I tried pushing the same
operations again (I obtained the same result as well), but this time I
enabled the SOAP logs. Because I pushed again, I have a new batch job and
therefore a new batch job id.

batch job id = 1501998529

What follows is the SOAP logs for the operations and response that I posted
in the initial post:
