RE: Is Possible to create Video Campaign through Google Ads API?

Hi Daniele,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I'm afraid that creating a Video Campaign is still not supported by the Google
Ads API, as per this page. In the meantime, you may follow our blog for updates
on this topic.

RE: Timeline and Plan of Google Ads API change

2019-07-04 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Rocky,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand your concern about the sudden
announcement in the blog post.

For your first question: rest assured that we are committed to improving the
features and services of the Google Ads API further during this time. However,
we do not have any updates to share with regards to any plans or timelines as
of this moment. You may follow our blog for updates on this topic.

As for your second question: the Google Ads API will stay operational during
its beta phase, barring latency issues. By extension, you may keep using the
v1.1 version of the Google Ads API if you are already using it in your
production environment, though we do not recommend that you implement new
features during this time, since there might be significant changes to the
features and services of the Google Ads API in the near future. Such updates
will be announced in our blog when they are released.

I hope this helps.

Hi Dmitril,

Thank you for reaching out.

The reason you are getting this error is because your account is probably not
yet whitelsited. As stated in this guide, accounts would have to be whitelisted
first to be able to create and modify Universal App campaigns. You can contact
your Google representative to assist you with the whitelisting process.

Hi Maksi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The TWO_STEP_VERIFICATION_NOT_ENROLLED error occurs if the client account is
enrolled in 2-Step Verification and the accounts accessing it are not. You may
refer to this blog post for further details.

To remedy this, could you try turning the 2-Step Verification back on on the

RE: Targeting (city and the country of that city) both, which one my ad is going to target?

2019-07-04 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ankit,

Thank you for reaching out.

Both are positively targeted locations for your campaign, which means both
locations will be targeted. Assuming Noida is a part of India, then targeting
Noida would be rather pointless as this is already under the scope of the
country "India". However there are some instances where this will be of use.

1.) If you need the Noida city to have a separate ad setting. However, this
should be done on a separate campaign or ad group.
2.) If you use Noida as a negative targeted location. Then the whole India
would be targeted except for Nodia.

Let me know if this clarifies your question.

Also, would you mind providing the sample campaigns that didn't included in the

Hi Liva,

Thanks for posting your concern.

Just what the error message is saying, the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error
will occur when you are using an unapproved developer token to make API calls
against production account. You can only use the unapproved and test access
developer token to test account in making API calls. If you want to make API
calls to a production account, you can request a basic access to your developer
token by filling up this form. The API Compliance team will get back with a
response within two business days, once the form is submitted.

Re: Need help using Query API for python to display age_range and gender_type

2019-07-04 Thread Vinutha Nayak
Hi Ziv,

Thanks for responding back.

I have ensured that both gender_type and age_range are enabled ( in green)
in UI. But the output still comes as 0.

What I wondering is, considering it returns a set of values and not single
value, is my syntax correct ?

Could you please help me here ? I am really stuck on this one.

Re: Google Ads API - Placement Detail Incomplete data

2019-07-04 Thread Ryan Whitten
Hi, sorry for reviving an old topic but I have a related question. If the
only metrics that are included for placements are the ones in the metrics
dropdown for detail_placement_view, why does the migration guide suggest
that you can query many more metrics? Do you need to join another resource
type?
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/migration/reports#url_performance

Thanks,

I was in the process of planning to update to this API.
I'm guessing it's best I stick with the `v201809` API for now.

Is there going to be an update to the sunset of the `v201809` API? This was
planned for early 2020 wasn't it?

Timeline and Plan of Google Ads API change

2019-07-04 Thread Thach Truong
Hi Team,

I just saw the announcement of changing production back to beta of Adwords
API and hold on on using Google Ads API (link
https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2019/07/google-ads-api-returning-to-beta.html).

My questions will be as below:

1. I wonder if Google has a plan and timeline to resume the Google Ads API
and what would it be?
2. It seems currently the v1 of Google Ads API is still working. Will the
Google Ads API v1.1 be deprecated any time or still in active?

Many thanks if you can help to address our questions above.

Regards,
Rocky

Certain campaings are not getting downloaded in report via adwords API

2019-07-04 Thread deepak sonawane
Hi Team,
We download report for our clients from adwords on daily basis.

Now there are some missing campaings from downloaded report when we are
downloading campain performance report from adwords API.
There is strange inconsistency in report as for same account, we are able
to download few campaigns of same campaign type but are missing on few as
well.

This is happeing for campaign type Universal App Campaign.

Also zero impressions is not a problem, we already checked it.

Please suggest if you have any pointers.

Re: Filter by campaign type in adwords api reporting python

2019-07-04 Thread Praveen Jose
Hi Sai,

I wrote the campaign ids generated into a file for AdvertisingChannelType =
"DISPLAY"

How do i feed these campaign ids (which are many) into the report
structure to pull a criteria performance report? I would need your
assistance here

Thanks,

RE: Need help using Query API for python to display age_range and gender_type

2019-07-04 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Vinutha,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I was able to replicate your query on my end, and can confirm that I was indeed
getting 0's for both the gender and the age range values. It may happen that
you have not specified any gender or age range targeting in your campaigns;
thus, the gender field correctly outputs 0 (or UNSPECIFIED), while the age
range field correctly outputs 0 as well (or UNSPECIFIED as well).

That said, those fields outputting ints instead of String variables (like
"UNSPECIFIED") is working as intended at the moment; you may wish to join the
related GitHub issue discussion here if you feel that this will be an issue on
your end.

If I just change campaign type from

.setAdvertisingChannelType(AdvertisingChannelType.MULTI_CHANNEL)
.setAdvertisingChannelSubType(AdvertisingChannelSubTypeEnum.AdvertisingChannelSubType.APP_CAMPAIGN)

to

.setAdvertisingChannelType(AdvertisingChannelType.SEARCH)

Then everything works fine.
Also creating UAC campaign works from old adwords-api.

How can I create an UAC campaign using google-ads-api?

Hi,

Looking at your query, it does not appear that you have included the
metrics.search_absolute_top_impression_share and
metrics.search_top_impression_share fields. Upon checking as well, the Customer
view currently does not support all three fields, including the
metrics.top_impression_percentage field. This is the reason why you encountered
the "invalid argument" error when generating the report.

That being said, allow me to notify the team to have the documentation updated
to reflect more correct the availability of the
metrics.top_impression_percentage field in resources.
