Re: When mutating bids for a large number of ad groups multiple times : RateExceededError

2019-09-04 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Afaq,

I am a colleague of Peter and I will be the one providing support.

Unfortunately, there's no specific number of the rate. Also, we currently have
no way to check whether the volume is high for a certain period of the day. The
only indicator that the volume of the service's usage is high would be when the
said error is encountered by the users. With this, what you can do is to slow
down and wait at least the time specified in the retryAfterSeconds parameter
which is 86400 in the error and retry the request.

Please let me know if you have further clarifications.

Hiroyuki

RE: Can i get Ads data for my competitors?

2019-09-04 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern.

On AdWords API perspective, you may use AdWords API reports below to get data
you are looking for:

Campaign Performance Report - This report includes all statistics aggregated by
default at the campaign level. You may use the fields like Amount, TotalAmount,
StartDateand EndDate of this report.
Keywords Performance Report - The Keywords Performance report includes all
statistics aggregated at the keyword level.

Also, you may refer to this guide and these examples for more details about
AdWords API reports.

Please let me know if you have further clarifications.

RE: Shared Budget Cost - Google Ads API

2019-09-04 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thanks for posting your concern.

Could you confirm if my understanding is correct that you want to get the cost
of the shared budgets in your Google Ads account? If yes, you can use the
Budget Performance Report and you can include the BudgetName or BudgetId and
the Cost field so that you will notice the accumulated cost per each shared
budget.

Let me know if you have further questions.

AdWords API via JavaScript?

2019-09-04 Thread Chris Larkin
Can the AdWords API be accessed from JavaScript? I recognize that there is
an (unofficial) Google Ads API client library for Node, but is that the
only way to reach the API features not available in Google Ads Script --
".gs" with a function main() -- ?

I want to do the Generating Targeting Ideas using the AdWords API, and I'm
wondering if there are options other than full programming languages,
because we have JavaScript dev resources already.

Thanks in advance for reading -
Christopher

Get Google Ads Details For Competition

2019-09-04 Thread Pretty Sammy
Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if with Google Adwords API we can get details for
Google Ads of our competition. Details like keywords they are bidding on,
Ads they are running, Ads Duration, Used Keywords, Landing Page Url. I
searched alot about this but didn't find how its possible. Even if it's not
possible with Google Adwords API can anyone please tell me from which API i
can do that?

I am asking this question because i already know that this is possible
because there is these 2 websites which are doing this.

First: https://ispionage.com/research/US/paypal.com
Second: https://advertsuite.com/

I have tried both and they do show details of competitor ads. We just need
to search competitor brand keyword or website url.

So if anyone knows a way to do this, please share it will be a great help.

Thanks

Setting date range for GenerateHistoricalMetrics response

2019-09-04 Thread Kenyon Rosewall
Hi, I am trying to use the API to interact with the Keyword Planner to get
the information I need. It looks like the GenerateHistoricalMetricsRequest
only allows me to pass a keyword_plan. I was hoping to be able to pass the
information for a report, like the date range. It seems that while I am
creating the Keyword Plan, I can set a date interval, but that is limited
to the forecast and my only options are NEXT_WEEK, NEXT_MONTH or
NEXT_QUARTER. And I don't see another setting on the plan, campaign, ad
group or keyword that allows me to set the date range for the historical
metrics.

Also, I was hoping to be able to get more information, as they display on
the report on the website. I would like metrics like competition index,
high bid, low bid, etc. I can see that KeywordPlanHistoricalMetricsResponse
only contains a limited amount of metrics returned.

So, I was wondering if this sort of thing could be solved by trying to
create a Report with AWQL? When I look at the reports available (
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#choosing_the_right_report),

I do not see anything that looks like what I'm looking for (Historical
Metric information for the keyword planner). Is there any way to use
Reports to do what I'm looking for? Am I missing something with the
GenerateHistoricalMetrics method? Am I missing something somewhere else in
the API?

Thanks.

Google Ads API Beta: Retrieve relevant customer_client data for oauthed MCC account

2019-09-04 Thread Kenneth Oh
Hi,

I'm using the google-ads-python library for managing an MCC account that is
managing around 1200 other accounts, in which many are "cancelled".

Using the customer_client resource, is there any way to filter out accounts
that are cancelled to return only active accounts? I don't see any options
in the documentation regarding status.

Additionally for the customer_client resource, the fields id NOR
descriptive_name gets returned, although I clearly see these values set in
the UI or using the CustomerService GetCustomer method.

Lastly, if using the CustomerService service to use the GetCustomer method
for all the accounts returned in a customer_client resource query, calls
fail for inactive accounts and quota per minute usage gets quickly
exhausted, in which ultimately I'm not able to get even simple account
information under the MCC.

Is there no simple way to retrieve relevant data for managed accounts with
the currently oauthed MCC account?

Hi Dustin,

You will be able to use the same OAuth credentials that you use for AdWords API
to make the API calls. You will need to enable your project to make Google Ads
API calls by following the steps mentioned in this guide. If you are requesting
OAuth credentials from a manager account and are accessing a related customer
account, you will need to set the login-customer-id header to the customer ID
of the manager account, removing any hyphens in the ID, Could you please take a
look and let us know if you have any issues?

RE: Google Ads API : Unable to add campaign level Device targeting using client library

Hi Alok,

The device criteria for each device implicitly exists in each campaign, so you
won't be able to ADD or REMOVE those criteria. However, you can use bid
modifiers to opt out of a specific device or set the bid modifier for a
specific device. For example, if you want to exclude tablets, you can use
campaign_criterion update operation with bid_modifier value as zero. Could you
please take a look and let me know if you have any further questions?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for posting your concern.

I am afraid that it is currently not possible to retrieve the AdWords API
reports with 3 different date ranges. You need to make 3 different API calls to
download the report for each date range.

Let me know if you have further questions.

I checked the rate limit sheet but I couldn't find an exact number for
rate. Can you please guide me about the upper limit for number of calls
per minute.

appear in reports as well, like in Campaign Performance

report? What is 'Local', is it AdNetworkType1

AdvertisingChannelType
?

What if I changed to Google Ads API Beta from AdWord API. Do I need to have access to Google Ads API? Do I have to do all other tasks that I have done via AdWords API by using Google Ads API?

2019-09-04 Thread Dawud Dustin

I have integrated AdWords API to my website and I successfully have done my
work such as making ad on google ads, getting estimate traffic so on with
the help of API. But the thing is now I need to define multiple payment

know about Billing in Google Ads API Beta. Though it is included in beta Do
I need to have access to Google Ads API? Do I have to do all other tasks
that I have done via AdWords API using Google Ads API?
