Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to support.

To better assist you, could you provide more details about the issue you are
encountering with the AdWords API? Are you currently having rate limit issues
with the TargetingIdeaService? If yes, could you send the complete SOAP request
and response logs so I can better investigate?

You may send the complete logs via the Reply privately to author option.

Thank you for reaching out.

Upon checking the attached screenshot, it appears that both of your reports
were pulled using the Google Ads UI. That said, I would recommend that you
reach out to the Google Ads Support Team instead in the Google Ads Community

Hi Jamie,

Thank you for posting your concern and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you provide what impression share fields exactly you are using in
Keywords Performance Report? Also, please note that if the fields return value
like "< 10%", unfortunately, it's not possible to retrieve more specific value
for those fields in AdWords API. With this, I would suggest that you reach out

Cannot get correct search volume from API

2019-09-16 Thread S Nakagawa
Adword API access right is "Basic access", and we have created a system to
obtain the keyword planner's monthly search volume. Despite less than 1000
operations per day, about half of the monthly search volume is ambiguous.

2019-09-16 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Alex,

Thank you for providing the logs privately.

After checking the logs, I have come up with the following additional questions
below to further investigate the issue :

The error you are encountering could be related to your OAuth2 Credentials.
Could you confirm if you are encountering the same issue when mutating other
entities? Could you also provide the email address you used to generate your
OAuth2 Credentials so I could further check?
I could not find the Ad ID specified in your logs. Could you confirm if this ad
indeed exists in your account? You could use the AdGroupAdService.get() and
confirm whether it is returned or not. If it is not returned, you could use an
existing ad id instead.
Could you also confirm what is the original status of the ad you are trying to
set to ENABLED?

Hi Zweitze,

Thanks for the insight.

I am working on project where I need to have Minimum Converisons and View
through Conversions criteria for adgroup and campaign.
So when I fetch the data I need to use condition where Converisons >= 5 to
achieve the target audience.
But as you mentioned conversions were given with two digits, I cannot
achive with converisons > 5.00 and converisons = 5.00.

Can you please add your views for this conditions?

Thank you for providing the logs privately.

Upon checking the gmail ad in the specified campaign, I can see that you did
not set any teaser headline and teaser description similar to the screenshot I
attached below when I tried to create these on my own test account. This is the
reason why they are not returned in your report. This option will only appear

RE: Exact match keyword string appears without special symbol in KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2019-09-16 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Galén,

Thank you for posting your concern.

You may use KeywordMatchType field as it returns the match type for the Keyword
(such as EXACT, PHRASE and BROAD) so that you can identify the match type of
keywords without the special symbols. However, the said field returns a value
Broad for both Broad match and Broad match modifier. With this, you would need
to identify by checking if the Criteria field includes + in the returned value.

Please let me know if you have further clarifications.

Aggregating impression share data

2019-09-16 Thread Jamie Tomkins
We're trying to aggregate the data pulled from the keywords performance
report up through the hierarchy - keyword>ad group>campaign>account (the
data is also segmented by device and network). However we're having issues
with the various imp. share values as the ">10%" results are making it
impossible to aggregate upwards accurately. There are big discrepancies
between our numbers and what we're seeing in the online interface

We need some sort of view on this for internal reporting and are struggling
to come up with a solution. Is anyone else looking at doing this with the
sunsetting of avg pos/does anyone know any way around the issue?

Had the same exact issue while following the documentation.

Here's what worked for me.

Add login_customer_id to your google-ads.yaml file. It should have the id

Then, the *customer* *id* is the id of the client test account you're
trying to access.

Exact match keyword string appears without special symbol in KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2019-09-16 Thread Galén
Dear Google AdWords API team,

Within a KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT I've noticed that the keyword string

for an *exact match* keyword appears without the exact match special symbol
(i.e. "keyword" instead of "[keyword]"). In contrast, the same keyword
string appears with its symbol in the GUI.

This complicates direct keyword comparison. I also find that this behavior
does not comply with the Keyword match type summaries
 table (located
at the bottom of the help page) because a keyword with no special symbol
stands for a *broad match* and *not* an *exact match* keyword.

On the other hand, within the same report, a *broad match modifier* keyword
appears correctly annotated with its special symbol "+" (i.e. "+keyword")
just as it appears in the GUI.

Is there any particular reason for this behavior of the *exact match* type?
If it is not desired, could you please fix it in an upcoming Google Ads API
release?

Best regards
Galén

search_term_view  == aw_searchqueryperformancereport ? Yes, the equivalent for

Adwords reports in Google Ads API.

The data from search_term_view is inconsistent with the number of results seen

Re: API campaigns report not matching UI and total incorrect

2019-09-16 Thread John O'Toole
Hi Dannison,

I'm having a similar issue where the cost totals from the campaigns page
differ by a few pennies every day compared to the same data from the
Reports page. The first instance of this happened on August 15th for us,
everything is a match before then. I would guess it is a rounding issue or
currency issue, but it seems to be too unusual to be considered normal
behavior.

Thanks,

Re: Operator >= with metrics.conversions

2019-09-16 Thread Zweitze
May I ask what you are trying to achieve?

Note that
metrics.conversions>=0.00
is ALWAYS true, because you cannot have negative conversions. (Well, then
there is of course *this problem
*,
which is solved for the future - but in the past you may indeed get
negative values. But.. it is extremely rare to run into these! Anyway this
is the angle I'm interested in.)

Also, did you notice that conversions were given with two digits. Assuming
you want (metrics.conversions>=1), do you have problems with:
metrics.conversions>0.99
If so, what problems do you experience?

Re: Operator >= with metrics.conversions

2019-09-16 Thread Mat
Hi Bharani,

would you mind doublechecking both of your answers in this post?

   1. The op asked about the metric "conversions". Since "conversions" is
of type "double", the only supported operators are > and <:

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report#conversions
   2. If you combine two expressions in a WHERE clause with "AND", *both*
of them have to be true to yield a result.

So your suggested code "*WHERE metrics.conversions > 0 AND
metrics.conversions = 0*" is double wrong: "= 0" is not supported with
"conversions" and even if it were, the code would always return zero
elements.

Regards
Mat

To get a Google Hotel Center Account

2019-09-16 Thread Merve Koyuncu

Hello,

I want to develop myself by using Google Hotel Ads API on Ruby but I don't
have any hotel etc to manage. Because the documentation is open, I am
thinking there is any way to use this API without having hotel account. Is
it possible?

create app campaign using API beta has error MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT

2019-09-16 Thread 'Naomi Shao' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

I am trying to create an app campaign with the new API. I tried with both
Java and Python, getting the same error message as below. The error message
in Java is MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT, I don't understand what
exactly I am trying to "mutate"? Basically I think the mutation is creating
campaign and budget. I used the sample code of add_campaigns.py which came
with the client lib as reference.

Attached is the python script, pls take a look and help! Thx!!

Request made: ClientCustomerId: 9189232388, Host:
googleads.googleapis.com:443, Method:
/google.ads.googleads.v2.services.CampaignService/MutateCampaigns,
RequestId: mGoLwJYa1kppmiEsJYGjPg, IsFault: True, FaultMessage: A mutate
action is not allowed on this campaign, from this client.

Request with ID "mGoLwJYa1kppmiEsJYGjPg" failed with status
"INVALID_ARGUMENT" and includes the following errors:

Error with message "A mutate action is not allowed on this campaign, from
this client.".
