RE: How can I query a list of Negative Keywords By Campaign.Id?

2019-09-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello Dylan,

Thank you for writing to us today. You could use the campaign_criterion
resource to retrieve the list of all the negative keywords set at the campaign
level by specifying the campaign_criterion.negative field to true in your
report query. Please find below the sample report query to list all the
negative keywords set at campaign level. Let us know if you need any additional
information.
"SELECT campaign_criterion.keyword.text FROM campaign_criterion WHERE

RE: Targeting Idea Selector in library "googleads/google-ads-php" PHP

2019-09-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi John,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you are migrating from Adwords
API to Google Ads API. You could use KeywordPlanIdeaService which is equivalent
of TargetingIdeaService in Google Ads API. Please note, the search parameter
for the keyword idea types is not available in Google Ads API. You might find
this code sample helpful to generate new keyword ideas using PHP client
libraries. Additionally, refer to this migration guide for Adwords equivalent
in Google Ads API for future reference. Let us know if you have any additional

How can I query a list of Negative Keywords By Campaign.Id?

2019-09-27 Thread Dylan McBurnett
Hi,

I'm trying to find a query that will return a list of the Negative Keywords
set at the Campaign level.

I could not find a way to do this with the Query Builder, but I can view a
list of Negatives by Campaign in the UI.
Is it possible with queries?

I have the query below for negative keywords set at the Ad Group but it
does not list negatives set at the campaign level.

query_neg_keywords = ( 'SELECT keyword_view.resource_name, campaign.id,
ad_group_criterion.keyword.text FROM keyword_view WHERE
ad_group_criterion.negative = TRUE') # WHERE campaign.id = \'241463475\'

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TargetingIdeaService, difference between API results and Web UI results

2019-09-27 Thread Giuseppe
Hi,

I'm experiencing a big difference between API results and Web UI results
from Keyword Planner, in particular working on brands.
>From my previous ticket (Include brand name in results calling
TargetingIdeaService) it's clear that is not yet possible use brand search
with API, however using API for brand search and Web UI (without flag
"Include brand names in result"), I found big difference in results.

For instance, looking for brand "Sephora" with language Italian (see below
selector), API returns zero result, still Web UI same values (using the
same IEADS request of API), similar results using for example other brand,
gaggia, lavazza and illy.

Difference is very big, so, is my call not correct? Why there are similar
differences?

Thanks and regards,
Giuseppe

Re: insertionText restriction "Can use / between two numbers. For example 4/1 and 0.95/0.45 are valid." ?

2019-09-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Artur,

Thank you for your patience.

The "/" is indicated as an allowed character when you wish to represent certain
information involving numbers, such as possibly :

A representation of a date in the text "Sale ends on {}" wherein the insertion
text could be "1/10" to represent October 1st.
It could also be a way to represent scores or reviews such as "Rated {} stars",
this time as "4.5/5.0" (4 out of 5) to indicate the rating.

The two strings above ("1/10" and "4.5/5.0" ) would be considered valid numeric
values to provide as insertionText, even though they contain a "/". Since the
"/" occurs between two numbers, the whole string is still considered a numeric
value for purposes of this API call.

I hope this clarifies your concern.

Best regards,
Peter

RE: Exclude Product on the basis of ItemId/OfferId in shopping campaign using c#

2019-09-27 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

It appears that my response from the original forum thread was deleted.
However, you may refer below for my response if you were not able to view it :

"My apologies as our team cannot provide the specific example you are looking
for. You can refer to this example code (also available in other languages) on
how you can target or exclude campaign criteria. However, please note that it
is currently not possible to exclude a ProductScope or a ProductPartition
criterion at the campaign level. You can refer to our criteria usage guide as
to which levels targeting and excluding criteria are supported.

That being said, I would recommend that you instead use the
AdGroupCriterionService to create your ProductPartition (ProductOfferId) and
associate your ProductPartition criterion to a NegativeAdGroupCriterion object.
To learn more about partitioning, you may refer to this section of our shopping
campaigns guide."

Moving forward, my apologies once more as we currently do not have a specific
example for what you are looking for. You can, however, refer to the
AddKeywords example as it provides reference code on how to create an ad group
criterion. For your scenario you can use the NegativeAdGroupCriterion instead
and associate your ProductPartition to it in order to have the partition
excluded.

Thanks and regads,
Peter
