Hello Pravin,

Could you please mention how you are creating the OAuth credentials? offline
mode or web mode? As mentioned here the program will provide refresh token only
when the offline mode is followed. Also, the user who fetched the authorization
code must create the client id and secret if the users are different then the
access token/refresh token may not be created. Please double check the above
mentioned conditions, please let me know if you are still facing the error.

RE: To setup location extension for client accounts in MCC account

2019-10-08 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Jiaxin,

Thanks for reaching out.

The following are the answers for your questions:

1. For the client accounts under your manager account you could finish the
authentication on behalf of your clients by using your manager account’s OAuth2
Credentials if you have the management rights on it. Here is the guide for how
you can implement the location extension step by step.

2. It is not required for the clients to create their Google My Business
accounts. Either the clients create the Google My Business accounts on their
own or you create the Google My Business accounts on behalf of them.

Please let me know if you have further concerns.

Hi Praduman,

It looks like the CID you provided in the screenshot is for a client account.
In order to retrieve all the accounts, you need the CID of your manager
account. If you go to the UI, click Account & Settings -> Account access ->
Managers to get the desired CID of the account you want to check. Once you put
this into your application, you can follow this example to get all the accounts

To setup location extension for client accounts in MCC account

2019-10-08 Thread Jiaxin Wu
Hi,

I have 2 questions about setting up Location Extension for my clients

1. To setup 'Location Extension' for my clients accounts during the
creation of their campaigns, do I need their own OAuth2 credentials(client
ID and client secret) for Google My Business and AdWords API calls? Or can
I finish the authentication on behalf of my clients and generate their own
OAuth2 credentials?
2. Is it required for my clients to have their account or location
of Google My Business. If they don't have their business in Google, can I
add their business to Google?

Thanks!

Pulling Data For Removed Campaigns?

2019-10-08 Thread 'Michael Lok' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

I'm currently looking at the feasibility of pulling data from removed
campaigns. Currently, my account has paused decommissioned campaigns as I
was unsure of the ability to pull data if they were removed. This causes a
usability issue on the Google Ads interface due to clutter of
decommissioned campaigns. Would I still be able to pull this data? More
worried if I need to do a historical backfill of data and cannot get
removed campaigns.

Thanks!

I have found a way to avoid the issue by adding a WHERE condition to my

I believe we can consider this closed (unless something new emerges).

Difference Metric Between `ad_group` And `shopping_performance_view`

2019-10-08 Thread Channel Advertising
Hello, I found the difference metric `impressions` between `ad_group` and
`shopping_performance_view`.
I tried to get some metrics but cannot know why there is difference.
I requested metics using AWQL.

 1. Using `shopping_performance_view`
 SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, ad_group.id, ad_group.name,
segments.device, metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros,
ad_group.type
 FROM shopping_performance_view
 WHERE segments.date = 20191006 AND ad_group.type = SHOPPING_SMART_ADS

 results:
 SHOPPING_SMART_ADS 6493811218 dummy_campaign_name 77955921316
dummy_ad_group_name DESKTOP 256378 3446 24498600
 SHOPPING_SMART_ADS 6493811218 dummy_campaign_name 77955921316
dummy_ad_group_name MOBILE 6945573 29870 2166754855192
 SHOPPING_SMART_ADS 6493811218 dummy_campaign_name 77955921316
dummy_ad_group_name TABLET 34510 372 6351470781

 2. Using `ad_group`
 SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, ad_group.id, ad_group.name,
segments.device, metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros,
ad_group.type
 FROM ad_group
 WHERE segments.date = 20191006 AND ad_group.type = SHOPPING_SMART_ADS

 results:
 SHOPPING_SMART_ADS 6493811218 dummy_campaign_name 77955921316
dummy_ad_group_name DESKTOP 256167 3446 24498600
 SHOPPING_SMART_ADS 6493811218 dummy_campaign_name 77955921316
dummy_ad_group_name MOBILE 2336768 29903 2168033066435
 SHOPPING_SMART_ADS 6493811218 dummy_campaign_name 77955921316
dummy_ad_group_name TABLET 21745 372 6351470781

There is huge difference for `impressions` of Mobile metric as '6945573'
vs. '2336768'.
But there are similar value for `clicks` and `cost_micros`.

I just want to know what is metric correct?
Please let me know if you want to know more information for query.

Thank you.

Hi Kotomi,

To better assist you, could you provide more details as to what it is you wish
to achieve using the AdWords API?

Thanks and regards,

RE: Continuing UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR

2019-10-08 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Pete,

Thank you for reaching out.

The InternalApiError.UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR could be due to a temporary
issue in the servers or could be due to a bug. If you are still encountering
the error after performing several requests, so I can further investigate the
issue, could you provide the complete SOAP request and response logs via Reply
privately to author?

Regards,
Hiroyuki
