Re: How can I get client account id

2019-11-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Jianan,

You could use the ManagedCustomerService.get() to retrieve the customer account
ids if the customer accounts are already linked to the MCC account. If not,
then you have to look up the customer account id through the Google Ads UI. If
you would like to link any customer account to your MCC account via API you
would need to use ManagedCustomerService.mutate() and inviteeEmail and
inviteeRole in MangedCustomerOperation. Keep in mind that inviteeEmail and
inviteeRole are accessible to whitelisted customers only. Please let us know if
you have any further questions.

Unfortunately, we don't have any examples on how to add it using any language.
Just like with other criteria, you will need to set the fields specific to the

end_hour. If you are facing any difficulties, you can share your logs so that I

RE: Permission Denied error received in Google Ads API, but not for AdWords API

2019-11-21 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out. The error USER_PERMISSION_DENIED usually occurs when
there is no link between the manager account authenticated in the request and
the client account specified in the headers. If the link between the manager
and client account was removed or you don’t have access to the client customer
ID specified or any of its manager accounts, you may encounter this error. To
resolve this issue, you will need to use the OAuth2 Credentials that were
generated using an email address which has access to the account indicated in
your request header. If you are using Google Ads API you need to include the
login-customer-id in the header as mentioned in this blog post.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

It is not possible to have the AdGroupId in that UI view directly. However you
can use the REPORTS -> Predefined reports -> Basic-> Search Terms and then add
the Ad group id fields from the left panel. Which should give you the same
information that you are seeing in the UI along with more detailed metrics and
more fields.

Headline & Description Fields Missing for Video Discovery Ads

2019-11-21 Thread Ryan Whitten
Hi there,

We traditionally got headline, description_1, and description_2 fields for
video discovery ads via the AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT in the AdWords API. We
are now trying to get the same data in the Google Ads API and cannot get
any results for video discovery ads.

Should these fields be returning values for video discovery ads, or is
there another type we should be using? I can only find TrueViewInstream
references in the docs (e.g.
ad_group_ad.ad.video_ad.in_stream.companion_banner), nothing for video
discovery.

ad.text_ad.description_1
ad.text_ad.description_2
ad.text_ad.headline

Thanks,
Ryan

Yes, you can register for a product account following this guide or a product

Permission Denied error received in Google Ads API, but not for AdWords API

2019-11-21 Thread Paul Cooper
Hi,

As we began to integrate parts of the new google ads api into our current
solution, we have run into an issue with certain accounts being unable to
use the new API (receiving a USER_PERMISSION_DENIED). The accounts with
this issue all have a mcc link with a particular mcc, but use their
individual oauth credentials to connect to the API. With AdWords, there is
no issues.

Other accounts linked to the same mcc, but use the mcc oauth credentials
have no permissions. We also have another MCC 'above' the one in question.
Accounts using account OR mcc oauth credentials can access the new API fine
when linked to this parent MCC.

Any insight, ideas or help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Paul

Difference between Google Ads UI, Google Ads Big Query Export Data and Google Ads API

2019-11-21 Thread 'Manuel Spierenburg' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

I'm seeing some difference in the data when I compare the google ads ui
with data from our daily BQ export and when I query data with the google
ads api.
For example number of campaigns:

When I check in the UI on MCC level and use filter enabled + eligible I see
10887 campaigns
In the BQ table with filter enabled and serving I count 10859 campaigns
And querying all enabled and serving campaigns via the google ads api I see
10862 campaigns.

These are small differences but what could be the reason to get these
different numbers?

When I compare audiences though the differences are much bigger.
Unfortunately I can not see all audiences on MCC level in the UI.

But when I query all user list criteria with help of the api I get: 454167
criteria which have 9673 unique campaign ids
When I check the Audience table I see 223155 entries though with 5871
unique campaign ids
And when I check the Criteria table with filter USER_LIST on criteria type
I get 156290 entries with 121 unique campaign ids

Why do I see these differences?

Maybe I do not fully understand the content of the Audience and Criteria
table.
Shouldn't they include all audiences on a daily level?

Thank you,

Manuel
