Google Ads Api - Identify oldest added criteria

2019-11-26 Thread Emiliano Sanchez
Hello!

I'm working on a app that manages Ip exclusions for a list of customers
under a MCC account. I can add IpBlock criterions without problems, but
when the list reach the 500 limit, I'd want to replace items using the FIFO
method. Is there a way to get the list of blocked addresses for a certain
campaing, identifying the oldest ones?
I was checking the interactive query builder, but can't find a field that
serve this purpose...

I'm currently using this query:

"SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, campaign_criterion.criterion_id,
campaign_criterion.status, campaign_criterion.ip_block.ip_address
FROM campaign_criterion
WHERE campaign_criterion.type = 'IP_BLOCK'"

Thanks in advance,

Emiliano

Keyword related questions

2019-11-26 Thread 'Yi Gu' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi, all

I have some keyword related questions to ask:

1. if I add 100 keywords to a adgroup, some failed and some succeed, how
can I tell which one is fail or success? does the fails influent other
keywords to add?

2. there is no error msg when add keywords sometimes, how to deal with this
situation?

3. some removed adgroup or campaign in UI, still shows active in api
reports, is there data delay?

4. how to specific a keyword, now I use campaignid + adgroupid + keywordid,
but there is still some mis match.

Thanks a lot! Appreciate any suggestion~

Re: Google Ads API Report Download

2019-11-26 Thread 'Irfan Rafiq' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Perhaps a better usecase would help to explain what im tyring to do.

I download the entire account every morning, then I have an algorithm that
checks which adgroups/ads etc need to be paused/enabled and then pushes the
changes. Currently I download the entire account using AdWords API
reporting service and when downloading the reports as compressed CSV the
process takes no more than a few minutes. However I have just used the
Google Ads API and to just download an ad performance report it has taken
over 20 minutes!

Could you please recommend a better more efficient way of doing this. Our
entire internal PPC tech solution relies on this and we can't have our
users waiting around 30+ minutes to download reports which otherwise would
take a few minutes using the old API. The reason we cant use the old API
any longer is because there are no headline 1 and headline 2 fields in
CALL_ONLY_AD.

Thanks

Google Ads API Report Download

2019-11-26 Thread 'Irfan Rafiq' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

I am currently using the reporting service in AdWords API to download large
files containing all our ads in compressed CSV format. Approx 750k rows.

I am migrating to Google Ads API, but unable to find a similar service. If
this is true what would you recommendation be to download large files? If I
am paging JSON objects surely this is very expensive as opposed to
compressed CSV?

Thanks

Hi Hüseyin,

You may use the ConstantDataService.getUserInterestCriterion which will return
the User Interest Criterion as in the screenshot shared. You may then use the
Criteria Id to target the audience to a campaign. You may refer to this code
sample in Java on adding targeting criteria to a campaign. Let me know if you

Hi Christoph,

Thank you for reaching out to support. Please find my response below:

1. However I cannot find any information about how to set the "Device
Preference" for a Sitelink. Maybe this does not exist anymore in the new API
version?
You may use the CampaignExtensionSetting where you can set the Device
preference using the ExtensionSettingDevice. This will be the type of device
the feed item is preferred to serve on.

2. Should I just use only the "Platform targeting" option in the
AdgroupExtensionSetting?
You will be able to set the AdGroupExtensionSetting to set the device
preference using the ExtensionSettingDevice at the ad group level. If your
concern is different, could you please elaborate?

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Pradeep,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately there is no link between Place ID
and Location Criteria Id that you have underlined in the code example. Place ID
can only be used across Places API. The Location Criteria Id that you is the
Parent ID of the location, California. For a list of supported targeted
locations and their IDs, please see here. To target campaigns for a location,
you can use Geo targeting or Proximity Targeting, as long as you have the
latitude and longitude, address, or criteria Id, of the location you wish to

RE: Audience Search Suggession

Hi Hüseyin,

I'm afraid, it is not possible to view the audience targeting criteria as they
show up in the UI. You may use the ConstantDataService to retrieve this
criteria and target them using the CampaignCriterionService. Let me know if you
have any other questions.

Hi Arpit,

As a credential generated for an Google Ads manager account can be used to
access all its child accounts. It will be sufficient for you to generate
credentials for each MCC manager account. Since you have both the test manager

like to have access for your application. If you would like to have access for

The developer must sign the terms of service

2019-11-26 Thread David Navarro
When making requests to V2 of the new Google Ads Api we get the following
error: The developer must sign the terms of service. They can be found
here: ads.google.com/aw/apicenter

Looking at other posts on the forum we should be able to accept the new
terms from the developer MCC account and use the same developer token we
use for the adwords api version 201809.
Our MCC only show the form for generating a new developer token and I was
made this, so with this developer token I can connect with my googleads
account via API, no problem, but my old "real" token only works with
Adwords API, not with GoogleAds API. Still showing this error:

What can I do? Please, give me some help.

How to use TargetingIdeaService (v201809) to get monthly search volume data for specific keywords?

2019-11-26 Thread Jonas Bolin
Hi,

I am trying to use TargetingIdeaService (v201809) to get the monthly search
volume data for specific keywords.

In keyword planner, you can select a keyword such as "italian restaurant
stockholm" and get the monthly search volume for *that particular keyword*,
and a bunch of other suggested keywords.

However, in the TargetingIdeaService API, I can so far only see that I get
the list of suggestions, but not for the particular keyword itself.

Is there any setting I can change to get the monthly search volume data for
*the
specific keyword * that I sent to the API?

Best Regards,
Jonas

RE: AWQL comparison dates?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for explaining in detail about the use case. On this forum, we
address concerns specific to AdWords API/Google Ads API implementation. If
you’re looking for an AdWords API solution, it is currently not possible to
compare metrics from different date ranges as in Scripts. However, you will be
able to segment the reports by Date and compare the metrics for that day on
your end. You may refer to this guide on how to set the date range through the
API. Hope this helps.

Re: How can I get the same keywords suggestions results in the interface and using API?

2019-11-26 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello,

To clarify my previous response better, the shared guide lists the
possibilities that can cause the TargetingIdeaService results to differ from
those of the Keyword Planner tool. Also, since the API uses a different back
end server than UI to generate keyword ideas, it is possible that there might
be some differences between the suggestions you see from the API and Keyword
Planner in the UI. To assist you better with the discrepancy on your end, could
you please share the complete request and response logs along with the client
customer id for me to take a look?

P.S. I hope the above clarification helps. Please use Reply privately to author

Problem when get report

2019-11-26 Thread adwords Web2Roi
Hi, i try to use the get report with the last Google Ads Api with PHP.
But the report give me a lot of cost to "0".
Maybe it's due to a missing param for the smart campaigns.
But, the documentation is empty about this kind of problems.
What can i do ?
I'm using a request to get report like this :

SELECT

'campaign.id',
'metrics.impressions',
'metrics.clicks',
'metrics.cost_micros',
'metrics.ctr',
'metrics.all_conversions',
'metrics.average_position',
'segments.ad_network_type',
'segments.device',
'segments.click_type'

FROM campaign

WHERE metrics.impressions > '0'

AND segments.date BETWEEN '2019-10-10' AND '2019-10-10';

Thanks for help.

Sitelinks > DevicePreference

2019-11-26 Thread Christoph Lanz
Hello,

I have a doubt about Sitelinks:

- With API V2, I am able to create new Sitelinks
- However I cannot find any information about how to set the "Device
Preference" for a Sitelink. Maybe this does not exist anymore in the new
API version?
- Should I just use only the "Platform targeting" option in the
AdgroupExtensionSetting?

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Kind regards,

Christoph

API limits for TargetingIdeaService

2019-11-26 Thread Thiru K
This thread is related to
https://groups.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/adwords-api/RCTedE2ByNU/QbedyUYvCQAJ

Considering the suggestion, we have increased the number of seed per
request to 200 for Keyword ideas and page size as 800. But when I increase
seeds above 100, the output of the idea is reducing. PFB the test results.

Below are the results and counts

Run 1:

Page size = 800

No. of seeds per request = 100

Keyword idea count = 4030

Run 2 & 3:

Page size = 800 & 500

No. of seeds per request = 150

Keyword idea count = 2743

Run 4:

Page size = 800

No. of seeds per request = 200

Keyword idea count = 2023

On analyzing the results of Keyword ideas, there was a difference in the
number of keyword ideas generated. Could you please check why there is a
reduction?

Re: Does the AdWords API support authentication via service accounts (OAuth 2.0)?

2019-11-26 Thread Arpit Agrawal
I am currently in testing phase, I have created one test manager account
with one test client account inside it. This is associated with email
abc@gmail.com.
Then I had created one Production Manager account associated with
abc...@mycompany.com(Gmail Business Account).

In this case, service account should be created from which email address ?

Do you think more than 10 times discrepancy is "some skew"? I get 22
keywords in the interface and 326 with API. Is this OK?
