I think I figured it out. I was using an earlier version that the platform
was hardcoded. On the new version I noticed that you could change the
platform to 'desktop'. That should allow me to get desktop results.

Mobile PageSpeed Insights for secure domains

2020-06-25 Thread Jonathan Pape

Is there any easy way to edit the code for Mobile Pagespeed Insights to
check https URLs?

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/solutions

The code converts URLs to http and my domain returns a 404 error because
only https URLs are supported.

Parsing of quote characters in Product Group field in Product Partition report

2020-06-25 Thread Michael Branon
Hi,

We are trying to get product groups from the Product Partition report, and
there is a product group that contains a double-quote character to
designate inches. It seems that this character is not being properly
escaped when returned by the API in TSV format.

For example, a product group will appear like this in the response after
parsing the TSV:
* / custom label 1 = "custom label value" / product type = "a thing
(approx. 30")"

We would expect:
* / custom label 1 = "custom label value" / product type = "a thing
(approx. 30"")"

Is this expected behavior? If not, is this a known issue?

Thanks!
Michael

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, the "Detailed Demographics" feature is still
not available in AdWords API and we are no longer planning on updating this
request. Our top priority right now is to get the new Google Ads API ready for

RE: How to segment by conversion action name in Google Ads API?

2020-06-25 Thread Dave D
Thanks Mitchell
I added it, the problem is, I get a different row for each conversion action.

If we think of it in terms of a row, I want campaign row to show how many
conversions from each action there were in the given time period. You can see
what I mean with the table/row sample above.

I can do this in the web UI and in the reporting interface in the web UI, I
just can't figure out how to do it with the GAQL query.

Adwords/Ads API functionality change to segments.conversion_lag_bucket?

2020-06-25 Thread Hans Sjulstad
Hi,

We're looking to implement the Google Ads conversion_lag_bucket, currently
have the older conversion_lag_bucket for Adwords implemented

The Field description for segments.conversion_lag_bucket shows a change
between Ads and Adwords, and wondor if this is actually the case and indeed
a functionality change, or documentation issue?

Adwords mentions clicks, while Ads have impressions as the start event for
collecting the lag data

Adwords have: Days between click and conversion.
Ads have: An enum value representing the number of days between the
impression and the conversion

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report#conversionlagbucket

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v3/campaign#segments.conversion_lag_bucket

Thanks,

Does the error ( "does not have an import conversion action that matches

Awesome. Thank you Bryan, will these stats also be available via Data

That would be IMMENSELY valuable!

Thanks so much.

All Conv. (by conv. time) - API Help

2020-06-25 Thread Ashten Mott
I was wondering if the "All conv. (by conv. time)" has the ability to be
pulled through the API?

I really need to implement this stat (and the others pertaining to by conv.
time) on Google Data Studio.

Right now I'm having to utilize Google Sheets and pull from the Google Ads
Add On to display it, which is making me have to use Data Blending between
Google Ads & Google Sheets, it becomes problematic at certain points.

Is it on Google Data Studio and just a different name? Could it be a
dimension and I just have to filter by the dimension value?

Thanks so much in advance for any help...

Hi Dave,

Thank you for reaching out. Please find my response to your questions below:

You could use the following query:

SELECT campaign.id, metrics.cost_micros, metrics.clicks, segments.week

FROM campaign

WHERE segments.week >= ‘2020-06-15’ AND segments.week <= ‘2020-06-25’

It is suggested to query the currency_constant resource to fetch the currency
constant data.

How to segment by conversion action name in Google Ads API?

2020-06-25 Thread Dave D
Hi
I'm trying to get a report via the Google Ads API that returns campaigns
and conversions by conversion action last week.

query = f'''SELECT campaign.name,
campaign.advertising_channel_type,
segments.week,
customer.currency_code,
metrics.all_conversions,
FROM campaign
WHERE segments.week DURING LAST_WEEK_MON_SUN
AND campaign.name LIKE '%pro%'
AND campaign.name NOT LIKE '%promo%'
'''

Unfortunately, my query above returns a separate row for each campaign with
data for the conversion actions separately.
How can I retrieve the aggregate data for the campaign with the conversion
number for each conversion type like below?

Campaign Campaign Type Week Currency Conversion Action 1 Conversions.
Conversion
Action 2 Conversions. Conversion Action 3 Conversions.
Campaign 1
  5
 2  10
Campaign 2
  2
 1  12

I can't query the conversion_action view as the campaign field is not
supported on that.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

converted into DateTime but still, it returns me all data for that account.
I'm using the below code to on Selector to get data. Please help me with
this.

DateTimeFormatter formatter = DateTimeFormat.forPattern("dd/MM/
HH:mm:ss");
DateTime start = formatter.parseDateTime(startdate);
DateTime end = formatter.parseDateTime(endate);
SelectorBuilder selectorBuilder1 =
new SelectorBuilder().forDateRange(start, end)
.limit(5)
.orderDescBy(BudgetOrderField.EndDateTime;.

Thank You.

logic behind bid modifiers for members of multiple audiences

2020-06-25 Thread 'Howard Wu' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
*Question*: How are bids adjusted for a search user who belongs to multiple
audiences, each with their own bid adjustment? Does Google Search set the
final audience bid adjustment equal to the MAXIMUM of bid adjustments over
all applicable audiences, and then multiply this maximum audience bid
adjustment by the adjustments for the other criteria types (like location,
device type, time of day, etc.)?

I'm guessing this is probably what happens based on the Hotel Ads
documentation :
"*If a customer is part of multiple audience lists that have been targeted
in a campaign, the highest adjustment among the matching audience lists is
used*." But as this documentation is for Hotel Ads, I wasn't sure if it
also applied to the general Google Ads product.

Thanks,
Howard

availability of Detailed Demographics audiences in AdWords reports

2020-06-25 Thread 'Howard Wu' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Based on several forum posts on the topic, as of last year it was not
possible to find "Detailed Demographics" audience performance metrics in
the AdWords reports/APIs.

I wanted to confirm whether this was still the case. (I suspect so, because
I see these audiences in Google Ads but not in the AdWords Audience
Performance Report.) If so, is there a public issue tracker where I can
follow the progress of this feature request?

Thanks,
Howard
