Re: Missing Required Authentication

2020-07-31 Thread Mario Anes
Hi Nadine,

Thanks for looking into this. So throughout the past week, I've tried
different ways to make the API call. For that particular statement, I was
using the .net client library. With the library, I don't use the access
token directly. The library only requires dev token, refresh token, client
id and client secret. I believe the library should be managing access
token.

With the most recent attempt, the one that I sent the response reply a
couple of messages ago, I use the
oauthplayground, https://developers.google.com/oauthplayground/.  With this
attempt, the Web UI takes care of getting the access token on Step 2, when
I click on the "Exchange authorization code for tokens" button.

Best,
Mario

Hello Mario,

I take a look at issues when they get really odd; what you're experiencing is
definitely surprising. I ready something that you said earlier, and I want to
make sure there isn't a misunderstanding. You said:

Then using the dev token, refresh token, client id, and client secret in the
program to make API call.

Do you pass the refresh token straight into the request, or do you use the
access token to make the request? You need to use the refresh token to get an
access token. The refresh token doesn't go into the actual query request, the
access token does.

Disconnect between the Keyword Planner on the Adwords Web UI and the API's version of the functionality.

2020-07-31 Thread Sean Hayes
Hello

I am trying to use the Keyword Planner tool to get quality Keyword
Suggestions for whatever query I put into it. The only filter is the
Location which is set to UK.

What I am finding in practice is that results returned by the
`TargetingIdeaService` is very different from whatever is returned by the
Keyword Planner tool. For example, a search for "anthology clothing" on the
web UI (Location set to UK, Google Network, all-time date range) returns me
Keyword Suggestions such as :

- anthology dress
- anthology coat
- anthology jeans

All perform well in Avg. Monthly searchesbut these suggestions are
absent from the API when I make a request for the same KW. My request is
structured as such:

{   'ideaType': 'KEYWORD',
'paging': {'numberResults': '500', 'startIndex': '0'},
'requestType': 'IDEAS',
'requestedAttributeTypes': [   'KEYWORD_TEXT',
   'SEARCH_VOLUME',
   'AVERAGE_CPC',
   'COMPETITION',
   'CATEGORY_PRODUCTS_AND_SERVICES',
   'EXTRACTED_FROM_WEBPAGE'],
'searchParameters': [ { 'queries': ['anthology clothing'],
'xsi_type':
'RelatedToQuerySearchParameter'},
{   'languages': [{'id': '1000'}],
'xsi_type': 'LanguageSearchParameter'},
{   'locations': [{'id': '2826'}],
'xsi_type': 'LocationSearchParameter'},
{   'networkSetting': {
'targetContentNetwork': False,
  'targetGoogleSearch':
True,

'targetPartnerSearchNetwork': True,

'targetSearchNetwork': False},
'xsi_type': 'NetworkSearchParameter'}]
}

The results returned here are much more numerous that what is given back on
the Web UI with very little or no intersection between the two sets of
results. There is also the fact of them not being UK centric in content
(e.g. "anthology clothing us", "anthology clothing chicago")

If someone could help me find what is missing from this request that would
be great. The results returned by the API appear to be generally more
worldwide aimed as opposed to UK centric, which I thought was the point of
the LocationSearchParameter. I have also attached a sample response for my
above query so you can see what I get back.

RE: Add / Remove multiple users from accessing Adwords

2020-07-31 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ajay,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I see that you have two questions. You'll
find my answer to them below.

1. Unfortunately this feature is currently not available in AdWords API. I'd
like to thank you for submitting this feature request. Our top priority right
now is to get the new Google Ads API ready for general availability. As such,
we aren't planning on adding enhancements to the AdWords API, but we will
continue to fully support it, and address any bugs as they are found. For more
information on the state of the Google Ads API, please read the blog post at
https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2020/05/update-on-google-ads-api-beta.html.

2. For this, could I ask you to reach out to the product support team, as they
handle all issues and concerns regarding the AdWords Dashboard/UI and would be
better equipped to assist you with this query.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you,

Re: Can I remove the uselist using Ads API V4

2020-07-31 Thread Sarah

Hello Xiaoming

 The code snippet you suggested in the previous email didn’t help I’m
afraid.

 The snippet of C# code I ran trying to remove the userList :

*  UserListServiceClient userListService =
_adsClient.GetService(Services.V4.UserListService);*

* UserListOperation userListOperation = new UserListOperation { Remove
= audienceResourceName };*

*  try*

*  {*

*MutateUserListsResponse response =
userListService.MutateUserLists(customerId.ToString(), new
UserListOperation[] { userListOperation });*

*return response.Results.FirstOrDefault()?.ResourceName;*

*  }*

*  catch (GoogleAdsException e)*

*  { *

*  } *

but I got an exception message :

*Message: Status(StatusCode=InvalidArgument, Detail="Request contains an
invalid argument.")*

*Failure: { "userListError": "USER_LIST_MUTATE_NOT_SUPPORTED" }, Creating
user list without setting type in oneof user_list field, or
creating/updating read-only user list types is not allowed.*

*Request ID: G78DCEJdFWgwRVnAQExVwg*

I don't think there's anything wrong with the above C# code, because the
same syntax of code works for removing a campaign :

*  CampaignServiceClient campaignService =
_adsClient.GetService(Services.V4.CampaignService);*

*  CampaignOperation operation = new CampaignOperation() { Remove =
campaignResourceName };*

*  try*

*  {*

*MutateCampaignsResponse response =
campaignService.MutateCampaigns(customerId.ToString(), new
CampaignOperation[] { operation });*

*return response.Results.FirstOrDefault()?.ResourceName;*

*  }*

*  catch (GoogleAdsException e)*

*  {*

*  }*

The failure reason doesn't make sense to me - "Creating user list without
setting type in oneof user_list field, or creating/updating read-only user
list types is not allowed.",

because I was trying to 'Remove' the userlist not creating/updateing.

Can you please check if that's a bug in the GoogleAds Api for removing a
userlist ? Will you fix it ? Thank you.

Best Wishes

Sarah

Error while trying to fetch campaigns

2020-07-31 Thread Youri Nouri
Hello,

One of our lambda is retrieve campaign data but since begining of July it's
not working anymore, we get the following error message:

> User doesn't have permission to access customer. Note: If you're
accessing a client customer, the manager's customer id must be set in the
'login-customer-id' header. See
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/call-structure#login-customer-id

We tried to understand why we have this message but we're clueless now.
Here's what we checked:
- Client ID & Client Secret (they're correct)
- CUSTOMER_ACCOUNT_ID (it's referring to the account we want to get google
ads campaign)
- DEVELOPER_TOKEN (it's the same as shown in the manager account)
- LOGIN_CUSTOMER_ID (it's the manager account ID)
- GOOGLE_REFRESH_TOKEN (I tried to refresh it and use the refreshed
version.)

I also tried to run a basic code in Ruby in order to see if that wasn't
because we're using NodeJS and the error is the same but I have a
confirmation that the right login-customer-id is sent:

Here's the code I ran:
  client = Google::Ads::GoogleAds::GoogleAdsClient.new(version: :v4) do
|config|
config.client_id = GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID
config.client_secret = GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET
config.developer_token = GOOGLE_DEVELOPER_TOKEN
config.login_customer_id = GOOGLE_LOGIN_CUSTOMER_ID
config.refresh_token = GOOGLE_REFRESH_TOKEN
config.log_target = STDERR
config.log_level = 'INFO'

  end
  campaign_service = client.service.campaign
  ga_service = client.service.google_ads
  query = <<~QUERY
  SELECT campaign.id,
 campaign.name,
 segments.date,
 metrics.impressions,
 metrics.clicks,
 metrics.cost_micros

AND campaign.status = 'ENABLED'
  ORDER BY segments.date DESC
QUERY

  response = ga_service.search(GOOGLE_CUSTOMER_ACCOUNT_ID, query,

If anyone has an idea, I'd be glad to try it.

Add / Remove multiple users from accessing Adwords

2020-07-31 Thread Ajay Tripathi
Hi,

I have two questions related to User Management in Adwords

1. I have 1000's of users in my Adwords account, and I need to remove many
of them. Is there any way this can be done through API?

2. Also is there any option on Adwords Dashboard to remove multiple users
at one go, rather than editing each one of them.

Regards,
Ajay Tripathi

Error when create new Billing Setup

2020-07-31 Thread Martin SangDo
Hi,
I follow below doc to create new Billing Setup:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/billing/billing-setups?hl=uk#creating_new_billing_setups

It was working but today it generates error:
{
  error_code {
internal_error: INTERNAL_ERROR
  }
  message: "An internal error has occurred."
}

My MCC (2764377747) got permission to manage billing setup.
