Hi,

Is there any updates on this? This is very important to us and it would be
nice to get a sense of when this will be working.

Thanks!

Household incomes not fetching for new campaigns.

2020-08-24 Thread Vincent De Coen
Hello,

I have a weird issue that seems to be a bug in the Adwords API.

We want to regulary check our conversions by Household incomes in a tool.
It creates a report on a regular basis.

Since a week or two we get strange behaviour from the API. It doesn't give
any data anymore for newly created campaigns. Old campaigns still show the
data correctly.

We use the "ReportDefinitionReportType::CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT" Type
to fetch the metrics and filter household incomes from there. For the rest
all methods are purely from the Google Adwords PHP library. I've included a
snippet.

Things I checked already

   1. I check if the geo supports household incomes, it did.
   2. Debugged received csv data in both the older campaigns and compared
   them to the new one's. Everything indicates that I receive incorrect data.
   3. Checked for alternative ways to fetch household incomes. I couldn't
   find any in forum posts or the Adwords API documentation.

I hope anyone at google knows what this issue is. Or maybe someone else
encountered this.

Kind Regards

Vincent

Re: How to identify shared set owner account

2020-08-24 Thread Ales Sturala
So I have the same issue and I believe that the original question wasn't
answered. Let me rephrase the question though.

*Goal:* In our tool you can list shared negative lists that are used within
your Google Ads account. That includes MCC level/master/cross account
shared negative lists too - so shared lists created within other account,
usually an MCC above.

*Problem*: When listing negative lists, we cannot see CCId of the owning
Google Ads account (when it is a cross account shared list). That means
that I cannot perform any mutate operations on the list either. So to
rephrase it even further - when I see a cross account shared negative list
in a specific Google Ads account, how can I know which CCId to use when
performing mutate operations (e.g. adding a new negative)?

Tracking Conversions Phone-call - Clicks on your number on your mobile website

2020-08-24 Thread Vicky Kamble
Hi Team,
I want to track conversions on mobile websites with source as phone call.
I have checked the doc and I can see different classes mapped to different
sources in adwords ui here
.
but there is nothing mentioned about which class you should use to track
conversions from mobile websites with source as a phone call.
please let me know if there is any api support available to implement it in
java.
I have added the screenshot for the reference.
Thanks,
Vicky

Including the Keyword Seed when using the KeywordPlanIdeaService

2020-08-24 Thread Seán Hayes
Hi

I have a python script that will take a list of seed keywords and query the
Targeting Idea Service API to generate a list of related keywords with
their competition metrics.

If I pass multiple keywords as a list of Keyword Seeds, I will get
competition metrics for those keywords, but there is no apparent way to
tell which KW generated the seed. Obviously if I pass one keyword into the
seed and query using that, I can tell where the suggestion came from but
this feature seems absent if I query multiple KWs.

Re: Audience Targeting Setting

2020-08-24 Thread cv
Hi Mike,

I can see that bid_only " *Indicates whether to restrict your ads to show
only for the criteria you have selected for this targeting_dimension, or to
target all values for this targeting_dimension and show ads based on your
targeting in other TargetingDimensions."*
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v4/TargetRestriction#bid_only

But i cannot get the target all as dimension. How I can assume that the
dimension is target all?

Thanks,

Re: Audiences target setup in AdGroup

2020-08-24 Thread denma test
Hi
Yes, i knew it and done with code as below

public function listCustomAudiences() {
$session = self::setSession();
$adWordsServices = new AdWordsServices();
$customAffinityService = $adWordsServices->get($session,
CustomAffinityService::class);
$customAudienceLists = [];
 // Create the selector.
$selector = new Selector();
$selector->setFields([
'CustomAffinityId','Name','Type'
]);
$selector->setPredicates(
[
new Predicate(
'Type',
PredicateOperator::IN,
[
'CUSTOM_AFFINITY',
'CUSTOM_INTENT'
]
)
]
);

// Retrieve the conversion tracker and print out its information.
$customAffinityResult =
$customAffinityService->get($selector)->getEntries();
// print_r($customAffinityResult);exit();
if ($customAffinityResult !== null) {
foreach ($customAffinityResult as $key => $value) {
$customAudienceLists[$value->getType()][$key]['id'] =
$value->getId();
$customAudienceLists[$value->getType()][$key]['name'] =
$value->getName();
$customAudienceLists[$value->getType()][$key]['type'] =
$value->getType();
// print_r($value->getId());
}
}
print_r($customAudienceLists);
}
Thing is it will return data corresponding to my accoutn in API, but in
Google Ads UI i can get data which is not created by myself. So i need
details specific to this.

My Adwords API Token(Basic Access) only returns dummy data in Generating Targeting Ideas

2020-08-24 Thread fox ad
Hello,

My Adwords API Token(Basic Access) still returns dummy data in Generating
Targeting Ideas, even after my application approved.

I basically referred to this ruby code.

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/targeting-idea-service

And code returns like this.

```
Keyword with text 'red herring fee21981', average monthly search volume
6654549
```

should I have to reset anything?

Re: Search Audience - API Use case

2020-08-24 Thread 'Kundan Kumar' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Danica,

Thank you for the details. The guide you provided talks mainly about
'remarketing or customer match audiences'. I am specifically looking for
*possible
API options for Affinity & In-Market audiences on Search*. Is there
anything you can please suggest which I can make use of in my account to
further advance in this direction?

Also, it will be really great if you can further explain 'criterion IDs'
i.e. *what all can be done using these criterion IDs through API*?
*(Sorry, I am not a coder**)*

Thanks,
Kundan

RE: difference between adwords api and adwords gui

2020-08-24 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Monika,

The TargetingIdeaService in AdWords API uses a different back end server than
the UI to generate keyword ideas. Google Ads API results should be closer to
what you see in the UI. Let me know if you continue to see discrepancies using
this API.

Can you clarify what you mean by "possible API options"? If you are referring
to targeting Affinity & In-Market audiences, then you can use a
CriterionUserInterest criteria for In-Market categories or Affinity categories.
These criterion IDs are what you would use to target audiences via API. For
more details on how to implement targeting, you can refer to this

Update:
Contacted the Google Adwords API team and UI team.
Everyone answered in details, and we figured out what's taking place.

in the UI, they subtract the cost for mobile calls. You could obtain it
from the Account Performance Report, filtering by
- only mobile devices
- ClickType: CALLS

Then, for mobile, you need to use this formula
ConversionValue / (Cost - Cost_for_calls)

And then the UI value will match the manually calculated ROAS ("conv.value
/ cost")

Thanks again!

Getting only zeros from Campaign Performance Report

2020-08-24 Thread theadsguy
Hi,

I have been developing with the google ads api in Python for a few months
now, and until today I was able to get real data. Now suddenly, all values
I get are zeros. I've tried going back to old dates also, but the same
thing.

The query that is made is along the lines of (dumped from
ReportQueryBuilder):

SELECT CampaignId, CampaignName, Device, Date, CampaignStatus, Clicks,
Impressions, Conversions, ConversionValue, Cost, ConversionRate,
CostPerConversion FROM CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE CampaignStatus IN
["ENABLED", "PAUSED"] AND CampaignId IN [] DURING
20200801,20200807

In the past the same dates have had data. In fact I had fetched it, and
saved the output. Then I erased it for some refreshing purposes, and now
when I fetch it I'm getting all zeros. What could be the problem?

Thanks!

Root cause of MutateMembersError.MISSING_MEMBER_IDENTIFIER

2020-08-24 Thread Amey Barve
Hello All,

Thanks in advance!

We have created a CRM Based UserList. We are trying to add members to the
created list and encountered following error.

Saw this link
,

but could not ascertain exact root cause.

type=MutateMembersError, trigger=null,
fieldPath=operations[0].operand.membersList[15],
errorText=MutateMembersError.MISSING_MEMBER_IDENTIFIER,
elements=[operations, operand, membersList]

Can somebody please tell what is the root cause of this issue? Is it data
related?

Regards,
Amey
