Re: Service account and Google Ads Api

2020-10-05 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Thijs,

I had to delete your previous response and repost it below :

"Hi Peter thanks for replying.

I checked this and I am using the correct e-mail account address for as far as
I can tell. The (service account) e-mail address I use to generate the access
token is listed under credentials compatible with this API (in Google Ads Api).
The email address itself looks something like this: "XX".

BTW The way I generate the accessToken is exactly the same as I do for
accessing the analytics Api which uses the same service account and does work.
So I still need some help.

Kind regards
Thijs"

This is because any form of account related email or information is a potential
security risk when exposed publicly.

Moving forward, the @developer.gserviceaccount.com user that you used may not
be the correct user to be logged in to when generating your service account
credentials.

Could you try and go to the Tools icon > Account access > USERS view of your
Google Ads account and login to the Google API console as one of the users
listed in the said view? Once in the Google API console, you may retry
generating the service account credentials. Should the issue persist, you may
provide the user (email address) that you were logged in to so our team can
investigate.

Please note that when you send your user or email address, you may use the
Reply privately to author option.

Thank you for clarifying.

The service that mainly supports the AdSchedule criterion is the

RE: Google Ads API - saving reports as XML/JSON

2020-10-05 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ales,

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, the Google Ads API indeed does not have a report downloader
similar to that of the AdWords API. You will need to parse those objects from
your end and display/convert them in your format of choice.

However, since you are looking for a .NET specific implementation, I would
recommend that you reach out to the .NET client library owners directly as they
should be the more appropriate team to provide guidance. You can reach out to
their team via this Github link. I hope this helps.

Ad group ad asset view display/search

Hi Adam,

Thank you for reaching out. The NOT_ADS_USER error usually occurs when the
login used to generate the access token is not associated with any Google Ads
account. To make the process easier I would suggest you to use OAuth Installed

OAuth2 installed application and web flows require user interaction only once,
when access to the account is granted.

RE: Accessing the google Ads API to upload Customer emails as Audience List

2020-10-05 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Sandeep,

Thank you for reaching out. Please find my response to your questions below:

The test accounts are with the “closed” status by default.

To make the process easier I would suggest you to use installed app or web
flows instead of service accounts. OAuth2 installed application and web flows
require user interaction only once, when access to the account is granted.

If you follow the steps in the above link to create the OAuth2 credentials
using Installed Application Flow or the Web Application Flow, you should be
able to avoid the error.

Make sure the configuration file is properly set up.

It might take some time for them to process your request. Please closely
monitor your API contact email.

Please refer to this guide for more information on how to set up the OAuth2
credentials.

Thanks and regards,

Label update returns DUPLICATE_NAME

2020-10-05 Thread 'Kostas Kougios' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

I am having this issue where I can't update any labels. The update doesn't
change the label name.

My code is pretty standard I think (scala):

val g = Label.newBuilder
.setName(StringValue.of("Keyword_Coverage_v4.0_Native"))
.setStatus(LabelStatus.valueOf("ENABLED"))
.setResourceName("customers/$ACC/labels/$LABEL_ID")
.build
val fields = FieldMasks.allSetFieldsOf(g)
val op=LabelOperation.newBuilder
.setUpdate(g)
.setUpdateMask(fields)
.build
val client = clientProvider.googleAdsVersion.createLabelServiceClient
client.mutateLabels(account.id.toString,Seq(op).asJava)

*Keyword_Coverage_v4.0_Native* exists already but I am getting this error:

[error_code {
  label_error: DUPLICATE_NAME
}
message: "Label names must be unique."
trigger {
  string_value: "Keyword_Coverage_v4.0"
}
location {
  field_path_elements {
field_name: "operations"
index {
}
  }
  field_path_elements {
field_name: "create"
  }
  field_path_elements {
field_name: "name"
  }
}
,]

Any ideas why?

Thanks

Re: Service account and Google Ads Api

2020-10-05 Thread Thijs
Hi Peter thanks for replying.

I checked this and I am using the correct e-mail account address for as far
as I can tell. The (service account) e-mail address I use to generate the
access token is listed under credentials compatible with this API (in
Google Ads Api). The email address itself looks something like
this: "123456789-1a2b3...@developer.gserviceaccount.com.

BTW The way I generate the accessToken is exactly the same as I do for
accessing the analytics Api which uses the same service account and does
work. So I still need some help.

Kind regards
Thijs

Re: Associate an uploaded extension with campaigns issue (EntityNotFound.INVALID_ID).

2020-10-05 Thread anatolii_z
Hi,
But I didn't use user-defined feeds. I create all extensions using
ExtensionSetting.
At first, I upload an extension to some campaigns and then using stored
FeedItemId to associate the extension with other campaigns.
In this case, I got success when associating the extension with some
campaigns from the account but for others, I got this error.
For instance:
Campaign IDs: 869504095, 870427359, 870429255, 869504104, 870429033.
I was able to associate the extension (id 136290908838) with these
campaigns but for others, I got this error.

My php code:
$extensionSetting = new ExtensionSetting();
$extensionSetting->setExtensions($campaignExts);

$campaignExtensionSetting = new CampaignExtensionSetting();
$campaignExtensionSetting->setCampaignId($CampaignId);
$campaignExtensionSetting->setExtensionType($extType);
$campaignExtensionSetting->setExtensionSetting($extensionSetting);

$operation = new CampaignExtensionSettingOperation();
$operation->setOperator("SET");
$operation->setOperand($campaignExtensionSetting);

$operations[] = $operation;

I use the same code to upload a new extension to some campaign and then
using FeedItemId associate the extension with other campaigns.

Re: Offline Conversion Upload in cross account conversion tracking

2020-10-05 Thread Andrea Cau
Hi Ernie

If I use the correct Master MCC account(where the action conversions were
created ) I get the following error:
"Fault: errors {
  error_code {
authorization_error: USER_PERMISSION_DENIED
  }
  message: "User doesn\'t have permission to access customer. Note: If
you\'re accessing a client customer, the manager\'s customer id must be set
in the \'login-customer-id\' header. See
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/call-structure#login-customer-id";
}"

I think this is right as the developer token belongs to the child of the
master MCC(Agency MCC) and not the master MCC

What do you advise me to do in this situation?

Regards
Andrea

NOT_ADS_USER Error when accessing Google Ads API from service account

2020-10-05 Thread Adam Ghoumrassi
Hello,

I am trying to access data on Ads campaigns from my Google Ads Manager
account.

So far I have:

- Linked my Ad Manager account with the AdWords account I need access to
- Gained approval for the application and access to the developer token
- Set up a service account
- Created a google-ads.yaml file containing my private key, delegate
account and developer token

However, when I attempt to access the data from the Python SDK I still get
the following error:

Google Ads API - saving reports as XML/JSON

2020-10-05 Thread Ales Sturala
Hello,
we're migrating to the new Google Ads API. In the old version what we do is
running lot of AWQL queries and storing those into AVRO file for big data
analysis (AVRO is similar format to CSV or JSON). Basically we would parse
the received XML report and transform it into AVRO.

*Problem:*
With the new API, all data from the *GoogleAdsService* is received *not *as
XML, but as DTO/parsed objects. Basically I didn't find any way how to save
received data dynamically into CSV/XML/JSON/AVRO.

*Question:* Can you help me how to get to a level higher data (I guess data
are sent as JSON?) so I can process the data the way we need, prepare it
for big data analysis, store it on a disk and all those use-cases that were
possible in the old Google AdWords API?

We use .NET library.

Thank you in advance.

Best,
 Ales

Re: error when creating new ad schedule (campaign criterion)

2020-10-05 Thread fru...@adzlocal.de
Hi Anthony,

thank you for the response.
But unfortunately i don't get it - you said i should add 'campaign' =>
$campaignResourceName to the campaignCriterion, but that's exactly what i
do in my code..?
Even the var_dump() prints the campaign resource name which has been set
before.

And what do you mean by passing the the variable int the function that
creates the ad schedule?
I can't find any possibility to set a campaign for an ad schedule.

That's how my code looks like to create the ad schedules ($adScheduleData
is a simple array with predefined start and end hours/minutes):

foreach ($adScheduleData as $weekDayName => $scheduleDataset) {
$adScheduleInfos[] = new AdScheduleInfo([
'day_of_week' => DayOfWeek::value($weekDayName),
'start_hour' => $scheduleDataset['startHour'],
'start_minute' => $scheduleDataset['startMinute'] ?? MinuteOfHour::ZERO,
'end_hour' => $scheduleDataset['endHour'],
'end_minute' => $scheduleDataset['endMinute'] ?? MinuteOfHour::ZERO,
]);
}

I appreciate any help!

Regards
Frank

Re: Promotion Extensions Editing

2020-10-05 Thread Roman Bondarenko
Hello!
Thank you for help) Yes, that is a solution )

But there is another issue ... When I create promotion extension with
promotionCode field which holds some value but after that I decided that
want have discount not on promotion code but with ordersOverAmount, I could
not update this anymore and always receive
ExtensionSettingError.PROMOTION_CANNOT_SET_PROMOTION_CODE_AND_ORDERS_OVER_AMOUNT.

This is basically the same scenario and there is no way to drop
promotionCode value as it's a simple xsd:string type, I did try to set it
to None but it did not help ... Also I did not find any answers in
documentation...

Hope you can help with this as well.

Thank you one more time!

Extracting values from googleAdsRow

2020-10-05 Thread beyond Clicks

I have a query in place through the google ads API that SELECT's the
following;

SELECT
 campaign_criterion.ad_schedule.start_hour,
campaign_criterion.ad_schedule.start_minute,
campaign_criterion.ad_schedule.end_hour,
campaign_criterion.ad_schedule.end_minute
FROM ad_schedule_view WHERE campaign.id = $campaignId

I know from examples that to get say, campaign.id, you use
$googleAdsRow->getCampaign()->getIdUnwrapped();

But I am unable to find an example containing the SELECTS I've used, or a
document showing all the options for extracting data from $googleAdsRow.

Does anybody know where all these get's are listed or what ones I should
use to pull the information from this query?

Hi,

The NOT_ADS_USER indicates that the email address you may have used to generate
the credentials may not have access or associated to any Google Ads accounts.

You may retry and make sure to log in with a valid Google Ads account
(typically your manager account) when creating the credentials for your chosen

RE: get caller number and map with GCLID

2020-10-05 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Vijaysinh,

Based on the naming convention of the report, CALL_METRICS_CALL_DETAILS_REPORT,
it appears that you are using the AdWords API.

Moving forward, the caller number is currently not supported in any of the API
reports you mentioned. You may only be able to determine in the Click
Performance Report whether the ClickType = CALLS (phone calls), however, the
actual phone number is not available.

That being said, allow me to send a feature request, for the rest of our team
to then review. For now, you may keep an eye on our blog for any related
updates of announcements.

RE: Offline Conversion Upload in cross account conversion tracking

2020-10-05 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Andrea,

Thanks for posting your concern.

With regard to the developer token, you don't need to create/request for a new
one. You can use a developer token that is approved or associated to your legal
entity/organization.

Moving forward, the error that you've encountered is not related to the
developer token hat you are using. In order to avoid encountering the error,
please note that you need to use the account wherein conversion action is
created. With this, if you are using specific MCC in creating conversion
actions, then you should specify the customer ID of the MCC account in
customerID field.

"This customer does not have an import conversion action that matches the
conversion action provided., at conversions[0].conversion_action"

Let me know if you have questions with the provided support.

Regards,
