Error in Google Ads API: change_event.client_type - Changes via "GOOGLE_ADS_EDITOR" are missing.

2020-12-09 Thread Mat
Hi,

I noticed another error in the change_event report:

If the changes werde made through the Google Ads Editor, they are missing
in the report.
The change_event.client_type "GOOGLE_ADS_EDITOR" does not seem to work
properly.

Mat

Hi Anash,

I've now fetched the change_history of >200 client accounts for the last 30

So I think it's safe to say that the error I reported on November, 11 has
been fixed.
Thank you!

Re: Custom metrics added and Invalid Interactions and Invalid Interaction Rate not available through API

2020-12-09 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thank you for your follow up.

Could you provide more details as to what you meant by other fields? If you are
referring to the below, then unfortunately these are not available in the APIs :

Invalid Interactions
Invalid Interaction Rate
Non-viewable impr.
Non-measurable impr.

For metrics (and other attributes) that are supported in the AdWords API's
reports, you may refer to this guide.

You may then check out this guide to get the complete list of supported fields
in the Google Ads API's reports. If you're looking for a specific list of
supported metrics, you may refer here.

It works under old Adwords API, so that's a bit weird to me
It means that to have access to account which wasn't created by me (was
created by another MCC), I either need
- get OAuth credentials from original MCC
- connect this account not directly to my email, but to my MCC email
account, and use my own Oauth credentials

Am I getting this right?

Google Ads API Access to account directly, without MCC and login-customer-id

2020-12-09 Thread Ершов Александр
Hello!

I have a working access to account in the old Adwords API
- customerId
- developerToken
- clientId (from my email which has Standard Access and can access via
Google Ads UI)
- clientSecret

This account isn't connected to my MCC, I have only Standard access to it.

But when I try to connect via Ads API, I get an error

*"message": "The caller does not have permission",*

*"code": 7,*

*"status": "PERMISSION_DENIED",*
I tried the following options
- empty
- my MCC (though it's connected)

So I want to know, is it required field, so I need to access like this
(App) => (MyMCC) => (Account)

and not like this
(App) => (Account)

We are preparing to migrate to from Adwords API,
so if this additional field is required and there is no way of working the
old way,
 please let me know

Re: Adwords API issue with the library

2020-12-09 Thread 'KG' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hey, I'm sorry to be getting into this thread, but I can't seem to be able
to start a new thread. I have a question about Google API (migrating away
from AdWords API) and I can't create a new thread here.
And I can't figure out how to reach out any moderators or admins or anyone
about it.

Can you use HTML5 ads for dynamic retargeting using the API?

2020-12-09 Thread Tory Hornsby
We've created HTML5 ads for Dynamic Retargeting, which work if we upload
them manually. We have lots of clients and can't do this manually for all
of them, therefore we're using the API.

However, we're getting an error:
MEDIA_BUNDLE_NOT_COMPATIBLE_TO_PRODUCT_TYPE

This means "The media bundle is not compatible with the asset spec product
type. (E.g. Gmail, dynamic remarketing, etc.)"

This has us thinking we may have to use Responsive Ads instead of HTML5
media bundle for dynamic retargeting.

Can anyone verify this?

customerClientLinks:mutate through REST API

2020-12-09 Thread Steve Wilcox
Greetings All!

I'm having some trouble getting a REST API call working. The issue appears
to be with my JSON, given the error message, but I know from long
experience not to bet on that.

The URL I'm sending against is:
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v5/customers//customerClientLinks:mutate

but I've also tried it with

https://googleads.googleapis.com/v5/customers//customerClientLinks:mutate

The JSON I'm sending is:

{
  "operations": [
"updateMask": "status",
update: {
"resourceName": "customers//customerClientLinks/",
"status": "INACTIVE"
}
  ]
}

The error message I get is:

{ "error": { "code": 400, "message": "Invalid JSON payload received.
Expected , or ] after array value.\nns\": [\n\t\"updateMask\":
\"status\",\n\tupdate:\n ^", "status": "INVALID_ARGUMENT" } }

Any thoughts?

How to know the date of a GclId ?

2020-12-09 Thread Samir Sabri
Hello

We are having difficulties in getting details related to GclId due to the
fact that we don't have the exact date at which the impression time was
when GclId got generated.

As in the click performance criteria report:

*The Date field indicates the time of the impression, not the time of the
click.*

If we remove the date from query, we got error:

*A single day DateRangeType is required for reportType:
CLICK_PERFORMANCE_REPORT'*

Can you help up us in this?

How do i get a Report on Keyword Impression Share

2020-12-09 Thread lad...@exito.de
Hi,

I am trying to migrate a Ads Scripts to a local Ads API Script. The purpose
is to watch the Keyword Impression Share for a defined keyword.

In Ads Scripts, I used the following AWQL:

'SELECT Date, Criteria, CampaignName, CampaignId, SearchImpressionShare,
FirstPositionCpc, CpcBid FROM KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE Criteria IN
[\'' + awqlKeyword + '\'] AND KeywordMatchType = ' + matchType + ' AND
Status IN [\'ENABLED\'] AND CampaignStatus IN [\'ENABLED\'] DURING ' +
startDate + ',' + endDate;

Now I struggled finding the fields to rebuild this Query in GAQL. Can you
please help me out, finding the fields?

Thank you very much.

give a response.

We are using the python client and the report query looks like this for
example:

SELECT Date, Device, ExternalCustomerId, AdGroupId, CampaignId,
CampaignName, KeywordTextMatchingQuery, Query, Clicks, Cost, Impressions
FROM SEARCH_QUERY_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING 20200904,20200904

We run the same code for many many other clients and they all work as
expected, just these 1/2 accounts causing having issues. Any help
appreciated.

Thanks
Sanj

Sorry for the trouble.

Re: Campaign Metrics

2020-12-09 Thread cv
Hello Anthony,

I am little confused.
On UI I can see Target CPA and Avg. Target CPA both same values But API is
returing only value for Avg. Target CPA

My values
Target CPA - campaign.maximize_conversions.target_cpa - Nothing Return by
API
Target ROAS - campaign.target_roas.target_roas - Nothing Return in Both UI
and API
Avg. Target CPA - campaign.target_cpa.target_cpa_micros - Value Match with
UI both UI and API has value - $500

Can you please guide Why this is returned nothing?

campaign.maximize_conversions.target_cpa

I am calling it for PHP Ads API

$googleAdsRow->getCampaign()->getMaximizeConversions()->getTargetCpa();

Thanks,

Google Laravel Example Giving Stream NULL *need help*

2020-12-09 Thread Floyd van der weij
Hello, i have been working with Google ads over 2 weeks now, without any
progress.

I tried making my own app, then used examples and then i went over to just
debug stuff without any progress.

Now im at the laravel Example from google
and everything finally looked like it worked but im getting the error :

```
{ "message": "Request contains an invalid argument.", "code": 3, "status":
"INVALID_ARGUMENT", "details": [ { "@type":
"google.ads.googleads.v6.errors.googleadsfailure-bin", "data": "" }, { "@type": "grpc-status-details-bin", "data": "" }, { "@type": "request-id", "data": "PQ2-pLYC_X7l0INbaqs9ww"
} ] }
```
I traced it back to The tag $stream
```
$stream = $googleAdsClient->getGoogleAdsServiceClient()->searchStream(
$customerId,
$query
);
```

i var_dumped the stream and i got :
```
*object*(*class@anonymous*)[*22680*] *private* 'responseMetadata' =>
*object*(*Google\Ads\GoogleAds\Lib\V6\GoogleAdsResponseMetadata*)[*22616*]
ConversionRate in grpc api
2020-12-09 Thread FW API
Hi.
The old Adwords API contains a field ConversionRate for reports.
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report#conversionrate
What's the name for this metric in the new grpc API? I haven't found
anything called *rate on the Metrics object.
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v6/Metrics
Thanks.
