Hello there,

Thanks for your response. I work with Matt and allow me to assist you with this.

The logs that our colleague Matt was requesting are the complete request and
response logs along with the request-id, which should be generated once you
have enabled logging as seen in the guide that he provided earlier. You may
then provide those details via Reply privately to author option so our team
could further check on our end.

RE: Google Ad API : We want to see Zero Impressions

2021-02-22 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Todd,

Thank you for reaching out.

It would not be possible to retrieve records with zero impressions using the
geographic_view. This is because this report is the Google Ads API version of
the AdWords API's Geo Performance Report as you may also see in this guide.
That being said, the AdWords API report does not support zero impressions and
is also applied to the current geographic_view report.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for raising this to us.

Given the error string (User doesn't have permission to access customer)
provided, I can see that you've encountered the USER_PERMISSION_DENIED error
which signifies that the authorized customer does not have access to the
operating customer. That said, could you confirm if the OAuth2 credentials
being used was generated from a user’s email address that has an access to the
login-customer-id found in your API request header? Also, could you confirm if
the login-customer-id is correct (as the manager account ID without hyphens)?
If indeed the user has right access credentials to the login-customer-id, could
you provide us the details below (via Reply privately to author option) so our
team can further investigate?

Complete request and response (with request-id) logs
Email Address used to authenticate the API call
Customer ID of the authenticated user

As an aside, since you're using the Ruby version of the client library, could
you try following the configuration guide as mentioned here?

Google Ad API : We want to see Zero Impressions

2021-02-22 Thread Todd Evans
We have tried to run several Gaql's trying to return Zero Impressions, like
the following. But zero impressions are not returned.
We understand that segments in the Select statement will prevent zero
impressions.
We also understand that queries will return zero impressions by default in
Google Ads API

SELECT campaign.name, ad_group.name ,metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks,
metrics.cost_micros FROM geographic_view

We have compared our queries against the Google UI like Geographic report
and it returns zero impressions.

What are we missing.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

User doesn't have permission to access customer - what am I missing?

2021-02-22 Thread Rob Sharp
Hi,

I'm downloading customer data using a customer OAuth token.

I'm seeing the following error:

Google::Ads::GoogleAds::Errors::GoogleAdsError(Google::Ads::GoogleAds::Errors::GoogleAdsError):

User doesn't have permission to access customer. Note: If you're accessing
a client customer, the manager's customer id must be set in the
'login-customer-id' header. See
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/concepts/call-structure#cid

My token structure looks like this (Ruby))

client = Google::Ads::GoogleAds::GoogleAdsClient.new do |config|
  config.client_id = ENV.fetch('GOOGLE_CONSUMER_KEY')
  config.client_secret = ENV.fetch('GOOGLE_CONSUMER_SECRET')
  config.developer_token = ENV.fetch('GOOGLE_DEVELOPER_TOKEN')
  config.refresh_token = token['refresh_token'] # customers oauth refresh
token
  config.logger = Logger.new(STDOUT)
  config.login_customer_id = token['manager_id'] # managers (mcc) ID
end

customer_id = token['uid'] # customers oauth uid

ga_service = client.service.google_ads

responses = ga_service.search_stream(
  :customer_id => customer_id,
  :query => <<~QUERY

As far as I can tell, the manager_id has the customer_id as a child. The
oauth token is valid, and the login_customer_id header is being supplied.

What have I missed to make this run correctly?

Thanks,

There is a Change Event service in Google Ads API but not in AdWords API. For

Hi Uros,

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to fetch the total
number of results. To overcome the issue of response oversize, the results are
divided into chunks and each response would have a maximum of 700 results.
Internally it’s using the index to locate the results.

InvalidArgument Statuscode when running example code

2021-02-22 Thread Hoang Chu
Hi,

I get an InvalidArgument error when I tried this example code from the
documentation page:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/samples/generate-keyword-ideas

Here is the error message:
Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V6.Errors.GoogleAdsException:

argument.", DebugException="Grpc.Core.Internal.CoreErrorDetailException:

I'm using the .NET Core library Google.Ads.GoogleAds version 7.0. What am I
doing wrong?

Re: create customer match audience using rest interface

2021-02-22 Thread Dhamayanthi K
Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I was able to upload the user list after I run RunOfflineUserDataJobas
rest API.

The clarification needed here is that, the client library example doesn't
show this step in the example code provided. So whoever uses the client
library example to try out, may not get the user list uploaded to GoogleAds
though the user list is created. Was this intentional or is it by mistake?
Will the example code be corrected to add run operation so that the job
will move to "running" / "success" status from "Pending".

Thanks.

It's difficult to determine the timeline because we haven't found the root
cause, yet. One or my fellow engineers has taken a look, but didn't see the
reason in one part of the code, so it has been sent over to another engineer to

RE: How to convert the campaign budget from micros google ads API

2021-02-22 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. Please find my response to your questions below:

In AdWords API/Google Ads API, the Money type is with the micro units which
means one million is equivalent to one unit. In your case, you would need to
use 2,000,000,000 instead of 2000.

You could only set the campaign goal on the Google Ads UI.

Hello,

Thank you for providing the traceback. However, if you can provide us with the
logs as outlined here, this will help us investigate the ad removal issue.

Thanks,

Fetching ads and keywords that were changed yesterday

2021-02-22 Thread Andjel Boskovic
Hi,

I'm trying to fetch and import ads and keywords that changed yesterday into
our internal system.

One of our accounts has:
 > 160,000 active ad groups
> 940.000 active ads
> 900.000 active keywords

As far as I'm informed there is the AdGroupChangeData

 in
CustomerSyncService.

This service returns ad groups that were changed, for example, yesterday.

In order to get the ads and keywords, I'd need to check if the returned
AdGroupChangeData had its keywords/ads changed.

In a scenario where only 2.000 ads and 1.500 keywords were changed, it is
still needed to receive and loop through all changed ad groups that may
have had only ad group level bids/ extensions changed, that number is
always very high. This takes a lot of resources for inefficient work.

Fetching ads or keywords directly from the ad or keyword services does not
allow filtering by changes, as far as I'm aware.

Is there a way to fetch only changed ads and keywords that had been changed
yesterday?

Thank you in advance,
Andjel

Re: Upload Offline Conversion

2021-02-22 Thread 'Viktor Søndergaard' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Ernie,

I am using the Google Ads API for uploading an offline conversion.
Unfortunately I cannot use the reply privately to author option. Is it
possible that I can send it to an email?

Best Regards Viktor

RE: Upload Offline Conversion

2021-02-22 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Viktor,

Thank you for posting your concern.

Could you clarify first whether you are using Google Ads API and AdWords API on
uploading conversion?

To answer the question below, whatever API you will use on uploading offline
conversion, it will take up to 3 hours for imported conversion statistics to
appear in your Google Ads account for last-click attribution. For other search
attribution models, it can take longer than 3 hours.
"How long does it usually take for it to upload? What speed can i expect?"

If what you are asking is what will happen when you upload same conversion with
the same combination of GCLID, name and time multiple times, then only the
first instance is recorded.
"What happens if I try to upload the same conversion multiple times?"

However, so that I can see the result of your API transaction, please provide
the information below via Reply privately to author option:

Please provide the complete request and response logs with request ID if you
are using Google Ads API
For AdWords API, provide the complete SOAP request and response logs
Customer ID
