We understand the inconvenience that you are encountering. However, as stated

Thank you for posting your concern.

I would recommend using Google Ads API as you can construct REST API request,
which is commonly used for sending HTTP protocols, for requesting API's
services / functionalities. You may refer to this document as it discussed how
to construct REST API request. Also, you may check this document for creating

RE: Can't update campaign bidding strategy.

2021-03-08 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Dmitriy,

Thank you for posting your concern.

I would like to inform you that I will delete your initial post as it contains
the API logs. However, allow me to put the body of your post here.

Upon checking the API logs and the Change History of your Google Ads account, I
can see that the bidding strategy is changed to MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS, however,
it is not reflected in the Settings view of the said campaign. With this, to
further investigate the issue, could you provide the customer ID and complete
request and response logs with request ID without redacted fields? You can
provide it via Reply privately to author option.

"Hi!
I have problem with update 'search' campaign bidding strategy...

This example working fine (no errors in log)

campaign_operation = client.get_type("CampaignOperation", version="v6")
bidding_strategy_type_enum = client.get_type("BiddingStrategyTypeEnum",
version="v6")
target_impression_share_location_enum =
client.get_type("TargetImpressionShareLocationEnum", version="v6")

campaign = campaign_operation.update
campaign.resource_name = campaign_service.campaign_path(customer_id,
campaign_id)

campaign.bidding_strategy_type =
bidding_strategy_type_enum.TARGET_IMPRESSION_SHARE
campaign.target_impression_share.location =
target_impression_share_location_enum.ABSOLUTE_TOP_OF_PAGE
campaign.target_impression_share.location_fraction_micros = 11
campaign.target_impression_share.cpc_bid_ceiling_micros = 60

fm = protobuf_helpers.field_mask(None, campaign)
campaign_operation.update_mask.CopyFrom(fm)

But this second example has no effect (no errors in log)

campaign_operation = client.get_type("CampaignOperation", version="v6")
bidding_strategy_type_enum = client.get_type("BiddingStrategyTypeEnum",
version="v6")

campaign = campaign_operation.update
campaign.resource_name = campaign_service.campaign_path(customer_id,
campaign_id)

campaign.bidding_strategy_type = bidding_strategy_type_enum.MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS

fm = protobuf_helpers.field_mask(None, campaign)
campaign_operation.update_mask.CopyFrom(fm)

Maybe need more parameters for second example?
Debug log is attached.
Thank you in advance!"

Re: No data in Video report

2021-03-08 Thread Anant Prasad
Hey Xiaoming,

We are also facing this issue on our end. This is the query which I use:
"SELECT video.title, video.channel_id, video.resource_name,
video.duration_millis, video.id FROM video"

This used to work and get all the video attributes from this `video`
 report, but
it looks like from February on wards, no data is there in this report and I
always get an empty result as mentioned in this thread.

It would be great to have an update on this.

Please let me know if any more info would be required to look into this.
Thanks!

Best Regards,
Anant P.

Re: DEADLINE_EXCEEDED eror

2021-03-08 Thread Pete Lavetsky (AdWords API Guru)
There's no reply privately option I see ... maybe only for OP?

This is 100% still happening.

I have an open ticket on the Java API bug tracker, tho it's not a Java
specific problem : https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-java/issues/407

The requests are not making it to Google's servers ... looks to be a bad
node somewhere on the Google network

QuotaCheckError.ACCOUNT_INACTIVE

2021-03-08 Thread Lars Hansson
Hi,
we have an adwords integration that have been working for a couple of years
but whenever I try to make a request I now get an error with the following
message:

ApiException{applicationExceptionType=ApiException,
errors=[QuotaCheckError{apiErrorType=QuotaCheckError,
errorString=QuotaCheckError.ACCOUNT_INACTIVE, fieldPath=,
reason=ACCOUNT_INACTIVE, trigger=}]}

I can call
AdwordsUserListServiceInterface userListService =
getAdwordsUserListServiceInterface(token, refreshToken, clientCustomerId);

Successfully so the token etc seems to be correct but when I ,make then
call below i get the error.

Selector selector = new Selector();
selector.setFields(new String[]{"Id", "Name",
"MembershipLifeSpan"});

UserListPage userListPage;
try {
userListPage = userListService.get(selector);
} catch (RemoteException e) {
logger.warn("Failed to load lists", e);
String message = e.getMessage();
throw new AccessDeniedException(String.format("Access Denied.
reason: %2", message));
}

can anyone shed some light on what might be the issue?

kind regards,
/Lars

Re: [Google Ads API v6] Fetching data through automated Python script

2021-03-08 Thread Davide Caruso
I was correct, it "seems" to work. The refresh token timed out during the
weekend, and I had to create a new one. And while now the script works
again, I can't create a new token every week. I tried registering the app,
but the requirements are absurd. My script runs exclusively on a server,
it's not an app for everyone to use, as the registration process seems to
assume. Following it is just an enormous waste of time for me and my
colleagues. So I'm back to start. I've been reading manuals all morning
now, and I still can't find out how to configure a service account, and if
there's something wrong in my code. I'll appreciate any insights.
Alternative long-term solutions are also welcome, of course, as long as
they don't require some periodic refresh on my side.

Best regards
Davide

Listing all user lists returns nothing but creating new user complaints about name already being used.

2021-03-08 Thread Sebastian Rickelt
Hi,

I've created and deleted a user list via the API if I then want to create a
new user list with the same name I get an error that the name is already
being used.

The UI doesn't show any user lists.

The API returns no existing user lists:

{
  "service": "google.ads.googleads.v5.services.GoogleAdsService",
  "method": "Search",
  "messages": [
{
  "message_origin": "client",
  "raw_message": "*",
  "message": {

"2": "SELECT user_list.id, user_list.name FROM user_list ORDER BY
user_list.id"
  },

},
{

  ]
}
  },
  "timestamp": "2021-03-08T10:24:52.165304+01:00"
}
  ],

but if I want to create a new one reusing the name I get

{
  "service": "google.ads.googleads.v5.services.UserListService",
  "method": "MutateUserLists",
  "messages": [
{
  "message_origin": "client",
  "raw_message": "*",

}
  }
}
  },
  "timestamp": "2021-03-08T10:29:17.794712+01:00"
}
  ],
  "error": {
"code": "InvalidArgument",
"message": "Request contains an invalid argument."
  },

"metadata_response_trailers": {
  "google.ads.googleads.v5.errors.googleadsfailure-bin": [

  ],
  "request-id": [
"S9z-kLX4WEp7bLhZRGZ9Dg"
  ]
}

Why is that? Does it take some time before the previous user list is
deleted? Why is no user list shown in the UI or returned via the API if one
with the same name already exists?

Kind regards,

Sebastian
