Re: Asset-Based extensions device preference?

2021-10-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback on this migration. I understand that you are not
happy that we do not support device targeting in the new asset based extensions
model. Indeed this is the case, and it is by design. At Google we invest in
world-leading AI and machine learning to optimize your advertising campaigns
continually to provide the best possible experience to the user. If you
continue to upload your extensions as before our algorithms will optimize for
the best extension to show each user, taking into account many factors,
potentially including the device they're viewing the advert from. We also test
new algorithms such as this extensively, so rest assured that we're not rolling
this out without first having conducted extensive analysis of expected
performance.

I hope that this helps explain why we're making this change. Please do keep an
eye on your campaigns as this rolls out and let us know if you notice any
significant performance degradation. We're always looking for ways to improve
our products.

Thanks for your feedback, and with very best wishes,
Nick

Re: geographic_view doesn't return data when segments.geo_target_metro is empty

2021-10-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Mario,

Can you please try specifying in your WHERE clause that the metro area segment
is not equal to a null value? Otherwise, you may try creating multiple reports,
using different segments in each report.

Thanks,

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Google Ads API team and sharing the additional
details.

Please note that the customer ID should be included without hyphens (-). Can
you please remove the hyphens so that the parameter is specified as a 10 digit
number and then retry?

Please follow the customer_id_invalid documentation to get more information on
that error.

Hi Rahul,

Thanks for reaching out. As this is a client library specific inquiry, the PHP
client library owners may be able to better assist. However, you may want to
ensure that your test manager account is set as the login customer ID.

RE: In "campaign_simulation.target_cpa_point_list", why is "cost_micros" not equal to "biddable_conversions * current_cpa * target_cpa_scaling_modifier". Which one should I trust?

2021-10-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Julien,

If you get the same numbers in the UI than you can ask product support how
simulations work. The API only gives access to what the UI offers.

With that being said, in product support guide Estimate your results with bid,
budget and target simulators I noticed "Because campaign-level bid changes can
increase traffic significantly, we'll tell you whether you need to increase
your budget and, if so, what to change it to." It makes sense that the
simulators aren't bound by budget, they can suggest a budget. If your real
world results were lower it could be because your budget was lower.

If you find a discrepancy from what appears in the UI, could you privately send
us a screenshot of the UI along with an Ads API request and response log of
communications that doesn't match the UI?

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST
documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to
see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the
sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". When the correct
logger is set to 'DEBUG' then the correct logs are generated.

Ad Customizer Data Feed for Responsive Search Ads?

2021-10-15 Thread christo...@logitravel.com
Hello,

Currently we are using heavily the Ad Customizer Data Feed to customize our
Expanded Text Ads with updated prices etc. Is there any possibility to use
this feed also with Responsive Search Ads? Until now I only know the way to
use the "Ad customizer attributes" for RSA, which I found can be
personalized at campaign or adgroup level.
Which resources are used to update those values with the API?`

Many thanks in advance,

Christoph

Hi,

Thanks for that. I've sorted it anyway.

For anyone else with the issue: the user was using google workspace which
was blocking us.

They had to go into admin.google.com > API Controls > manage third party

Thanks,

Charles

RE: How to Independent MCC Account Lookup

2021-10-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern. Allow me to provide support.

With regard to your question about developer token, it is indeed that only one
production developer token can be granted to an organization / company.
However, you can use it to any Google Ads accounts under an organization /
company regardless if it has link or not to the MCC account where it is
generated. Just include the developer token in the request header of the API
request that targets specific accounts for report.

Also, could you provide more details on your term 'independent MCC accounts' so
that we can have the same understanding about it?

As for the provided steps and USER_PERMISSION_DENIED, would you be able to
provide the following details instead so that I can have clearer understanding
about it?

Complete request and response logs with request ID generated on your end
The actual user accounts and customer ID of the MCC accounts that you've
mentioned in the steps you've provided

You can provide the requested details via Reply privately to author option. If
this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.
