Re: How to fetch ad-level data such as clicks, impressions and conversions?

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Henry,

Could you confirm if your concern here is related to the one in the separate
[8-502031586] Google Ads API private thread? From the said thread, you
mentioned "I made some time to test and I can obtain metrics data from
ad_group_ad report type. thanks for your confirmation.", could you confirm if
by this statement, you were already able to retrieve results or still not able
to?

If the concern is the same and the issue persists, and also for better
tracking, could you share with our team on the same [8-502031586] Google
Ads API thread insead, the complete request and response logs with the
request-id of your ad_group_ad report request that did not return results?

However, if the concerns of that thread and this one are not similar, then you
may instead provide the requested details using the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Re: Change Event Resource Type

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi All,

@Mat, thank you for providing your insights here.

@Mario, could you confirm if you already tried the suggestion provided by Mat?
I asked because, it appears that the issue can be resolved by upgrading to the
14.0.0 version of the Python library as suggested by Mat and also the
workaround tried by Scott (initial user of this forum post) to address the
issue. Since the issue is more client library specific, then I would also
suggest reaching out to the author of the Python client library via this link
as they are more equipped to provide support to this topic.

However, if the issue persists, could you provide the complete request and
response logs with request ID and request header generated on your end where we
can see the issue so that our team can help in addressing it?

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

RE: Failed to refresh access token.

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Frank,

Thank you for raising your concern.

Please note that the implementation of the Google Ads API is not the same with
the implementation of the AdWords API. I would suggest referring to this
document to know the equivalent service of the OfflineConversionFeedService and
inspect the fields that you need to set in uploading conversions using Google
Ads API. Furthermore, the API service to upload conversions using Google Ads
API is no longer asking for the conversion action name, but is now requiring
the resource name of the conversion action instead.

To know more information on uploading conversions using Google Ads API such as
sample implementation, then I would suggest referring to the following guides
below:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/conversions/upload-clicks
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/conversions/upload-calls

Let me know if you have further questions.

RE: How to select all matched locations at account level?

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out.

You may note that this forum channel specializes in AdWords / Google Ads API
related concerns only.

Since you mentioned using Adwords (Google Ads) Scripts, you may reach out to
their support team instead via their own forum, if this is indeed the platform
you are currently using.

However, if you are using the above mentioned APIs, could you provide our team
with more details on the said matched locations? I asked because targeted (not
matched) locations can be extracted using the location_view.

Re: [AdWords API] Do AdService and Reports return data for the removed ad?

2021-10-18 Thread dudoa...@gmail.com
Dear API support team,

I know that AdWords API is deprecated and I should change to use Ads API.

But, I want to make sure that the the response data between 2 API is same.

I checked the ad_group_ad.status in the ad_group_ad report view, and see
that the ad status includes the 'REMOVED' value but in Ad Performance
Report of AdWords API does not.

So, can I understand that AdWords API does not return data related to the
'REMOVED' ad? Only Ads API supports to fetch data related to the 'REMOVED'
ad.

Thank you very much!

Sitelink limit exceeded error though not too many sitelinks

2021-10-18 Thread Markus Heiden
I am trying to book sitelink assets / customer assets connected by
temporary ids via the GoogleAdsService.

Error case: I have 19 active sitelink assets / customer assets and several
already removed ones. When booking the 20th sitelink asset / customer asset
I get a limit exceeded error on the customer asset.

When booking exactly the same sitelink asset / customer asset again there
is no error though and the sitelink shows up.

I am a bit confused about this behavior. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

Could you privately give us request and response to the API logs of the steps
to reproduce this issue of final url missing from ad when the ad is created
with one?

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST
documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to
see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the
sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the logger
to 'DEBUG' should get the logs necessary.

RE: [AdWords API] Do AdService and Reports return data for the removed ad?

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi there,

Please note that the AdWords API is deprecated and will be sunset on April 27,
2022. We strongly recommend that you migrate to the Google Ads API as soon as
possible.

The New Ads API reports on removed ads using ad_group_ad.status in the
ad_group_ad report view.

Troubles with getting statistics about conversions from Video report

2021-10-18 Thread 'i.ti...@corp.mail.ru' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello, I have troubles with getting any statistics from video report from
my Ad accounts (2 customer Ids were tested). This is example of query -

select
campaign.id,
segments.date,
segments.conversion_action_name,
metrics.all_conversions,
metrics.conversions,
metrics.conversions_value,
metrics.view_through_conversions
from video WHERE segments.date >= 20211001
AND segments.date <= 20211001

I want to get conversions by conversion_action_name by video in my
accounts, and getting empty answer((.

Thank you!

Re: geographic_view doesn't return data when segments.geo_target_metro is empty

2021-10-18 Thread Mario Ochoa
Hello Anthony, my problem is similar to the one mentioned in this thread.

Using the AdWords API I'm able to get those records where the *city *has a
blank/null/empty value (as shown in the file). But when using the Google
Ads API I can't get records where *segment.city *is blank. What I want is
to get those records where the city is blank using the Google Ads API to
get the same information with both API and compare the results and evaluate
if it is feasible to migrate from AdWords to Google Ads.

Missing Report Rows for Barrera Investments - 20211011 + 20211012.csv

Re: searchStream response cuts off at 10000 lines

2021-10-18 Thread Mat
Hi Yasar,

I've counted the rows of some SearchStream request responses and I can get
back much more than 10,000 rows in one single response.

In the comparison "SearchStream versus Search
"

there is an example with 100,000 rows - and no upper limit is mentioned.
Could you please double check and elaborate what exactly you mean with
"upto 10,000 *records*"?

RE: Google AdWords API: Names and types of metrics

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

Thank you for posting your concern in the AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum.

Please see below for my comments on your concern.

1.) Name in the API request

-Could you confirm first if what you mean for AdsetID is asset ID? Also, on
what level you want to retrieve this information so that we can provide the
name of the those fields and the correct report types.

2.) Name in the API response

-Please note that the fields in the API request and response should be the
same, the only difference is that in the API response, the name is in the camel
case.

3.) Name in UI Google Ads

-You can retrieve the data for search impression share data using the search
impression share metric. You may check this Help Center article for reference.
If you have any further clarifications on this, I suggest you reach out to the
Google Ads Product team as they are better equipped to address UI related
concerns. Regarding Adset ID, as I've asked in my response to question #1,
please clarify what you are looking for so I can further investigate.

4.) What transformation is needed before saving values in database?

-Can you please elaborate your question? This will help me to better
investigate and provide you with the correct information you need.

RE: Failed to refresh access token.

2021-10-18 Thread Frank Boateng
Good day,

I have Google Adwords .net application that upload offline GCLID data. I have
to convert that to Google Ads but the parameter. In the Adwords, there was a
conversion name in the offline conversion feed method but there is no
conversion name in Ads. There is couple of changes that I can’t figure out but
I will attach screenshots and highlight the difference

If you can help me with the difference and what to use in place of the
conversion name and what values are required for customer ID and conversion
action ID
The customer ID I have is used as the AdWordsUser of the GoogleAdsClient

Hi Frank,

Thank you for reaching out.
Here are
some common causes for the refresh token expiration. One of them is that “A
Google Cloud Platform project with an OAuth consent screen configured for an
external user type and a publishing status of "Testing" is issued a refresh
token expiring in 7 days.” You could change the publishing status to production
to avoid this issue.

Thanks and regards,

Unfortunately, Ad customizers in Responsive Search Ads using API are not

Updating Ads in Ad group

Hi,

Currently, I am exploring how to update the advertisement tracking
template.
Also, I followed the guide provided

However, I tried to execute the script provided by the guide and encounter

Upgraded sitelinks

2021-10-18 Thread Jacob Höglund

Hi Ads support team,

Recently we had an update of sitelinks in the Google Ads interface. All
sitelinks are now distinguished as “legacy” or “upgraded” and we need more
practical information about this update. Could you please help us to
clarify the following questions?

   - Will all sitelinks in the “legacy” view be removed?
   - If we have sitelinks in “legacy” view and not in “upgraded” view, do
we have no manually create new sitelinks in order to transfer them to
   “upgraded” sitelinks?
   - If we do not transfer legacy sitelinks to upgraded, will our sitelinks
stop showing and not being active?
   - Is this update happening for all Google Ads accounts, or only for the
   ones using feed based sitelinks?
   - Do we have a sunset date for the update?

Re: How to fetch ad-level data such as clicks, impressions and conversions?

2021-10-18 Thread 'Henry Chen' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Ads support team,

Sorry for I miss this message.
We try to obtain values of metrics(clicks, impressions, conversions) with
AppAd as ad type from ad_group_ad report type.

But we cannot get results. We assume whether there are different available
metrics for different ad types?

Thanks,

How to select all matched locations at account level?

2021-10-18 Thread Александр Кочкарёв
Hello!

I'am working on some AdWords script.

Can someone advice me how make a correct query (which fields to select and
from what resources) to select matched locations at account level?

I want to select in script the same data that i can select from UI:

RE: Not getting result when migrating CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT from AdWords API to Ads API

2021-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Wanling,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

So that our team may take a closer look at the issue you are encountering,
could you provide more details regarding not being able to acquire correct
results in your API report request? Could you provide us with examples?

In addition, could you also share the generated and complete request and
response logs, with the request-id? If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled
by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) >
Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Peter Laurence Napa Oliquino
