A hack I've found that works to find non-manager owned shared sets that can 
be mutated:
1. Query the shared sets by customerId. This gives you all of the shared 
sets EXCLUDING ones not owned by managers.
2. Query again with managerId and get all of the shared sets INCLUDING ones 
owned by managers.
3. EXCLUDE the common shared sets between the two queries, the remainder 
are shared sets not owned by managers.

It's a bit tedious, but it's the only solution I found.

Pls check issue on high priority. I'm sure it's API specific issue only
because manually from web UI bill profile can be setup for sub account.

After token approval our development stuck at this point. Pls help
to resolve this issue soon.

Thank you. I'm migrating from version 8 to 9 and then 9 to 10. I'm only 
using the library for keywordideas and I just wanted to know if I had to 
overwrite my library multiple times to get to the latest version.

implementation, but the new Ads API is different from the old SOAP AdWords API. 
I'd recommend looking through the migration guide for more details on this. 
Like the AdWords API, the Ads API client libraries support code samples for 
almost all operations supported in the API.

Please let us know if you have any specific questions on the new API.

"Request contains an invalid argument" - how to see what argument is invalid?

Hi there

Thanks for reading my question.

I am using mutateCampaignCriteria to try to remove some IPs from a 
campaign's IP Exclusions List.

This code in general works fine (it works for other campaigns), but it is 
failing for one particular campaign and I don't know why.

This is the error:

(1) How can I see what data is causing this issue?

(2) How can I automatically recover from an issue like this? For example, 
is there a way I can simply "reset" the IP Exclusions List for a campaign 
so it is blank and I can start over? Note I don't want to manually do this 
(log into the Google Ads account and manually delete the IPs), I should be 
able to do it using code.

I am using the PHP library.

Performance Max campaign data not returned from 'landing_page_view'

Hi,

I am trying to pull campaign-level data from 'landing_page_view', but the 
attached query is not retuning any records for Performance Max campaigns, 
despite the data existing in the Google Ads interface (Landing Pages 
report). 

I did not see anything in the documentation suggesting this data is not 
available through the API. This issue occurs when using v9 and v10 of the 
Google Ads API.

Please advise.

Sending users via the api

We have sent up about 1million users via the audience upload.

after a few days the list size only got to about 500,000.

I'm sending it up in batches of 10,000.

IS there any reason at google side why it wouldn't add all of them?

targeting. Please see Geo Targets documentation should also be able to provide 
information on the Criteria ID to Canonical Name mapping of location IDs. You 
can then filter using Country Code = country to map country locations. You can 
check from the geo targets csv. We do not have code example for setting country 
criteria.

How to Remove Custom Parameters in the Ads API

Hello,

in the Adwords API, Custom Parameters can be removed by sending an update 
operation with the "isRemove" flag 

 
set.

In the Ads API, this flag doesn't exist 
.
 
Setting the Custom Parameter's "value" field to the empty string will not 
remove it and just omitting it (only sending the "key"  attribute) causes 
an "INVALID_ARGUMENT" error with the explanation "Custom parameter value 
cannot be null".

How do I go about removing existing Custom Parameters from a campaign (or 
ad group, ad, keyword etc.)?

Thank you for reply!

Yes from web UI (https://ads.google.com/) whenever we creating new sub 
account & try to link that user to payment profile ID 2905-5534-6762  its 
working. But from PHP API whenever we creating new sub account under 
manager account(1004010941), payment profile can't be link to it. Its 
throwing error as follows:

Request & response I already posted last time.

In our system, we have to create sub account as per customer approaching to 
our system, then create sub account for them under manage then assign 
billing profile ID & then they can create/publish campaigns etc...

Pls help to fix this issue. We are stuck at this point after our developer 
token approved & got basic access level for API. 

Your help is highly appreciated!!!

Can't get invalid_click metrics. while using segments.device

Invalid client is a general Oauth issue that most probably is beyond the scope 
of this support channel. If you are using one of our client libraries you can 
check how a proper credential file is filled out by clicking on one of our 
libraries in the sidebar of our client libraries guide, then clicking on one of 
the Oauth 'flow' guides. If you are using REST Interface we have our 
Authorization and HTTP Headers guide for proper setup of credentials.

With that being said did you make certain there are no leading or trailing 
spaces or wrong style string identity marks in Client Id and Client secret in 
your settings? You can also look up popular self help websites with this error.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I think I wasn't accurate enough in my previous 
explanation. I need to get customer clients, but looks like this method is 
not available in Google Ads REST interface version 10. Is there any other 
solution to get customer clients or is it somehow available through 
customers.customerClientLinks mutate method that you offered? As far as I 
understood, mutate method can be used only to create, update or delete.

Google Ads API: returning ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED while fetching reports

Hi,

We are recently facing an issue where when we try to fetch data using new 
ads API for a particular account we are getting action permitted error, 
even for simple queries like fetching data from campaign view.
But if we try fetching the same data from AdWords API we are able to get 
data.

Error detail from ads API:

action on the resource or call a method."

One strange observation is for customer reports we are able to fetch data 
if we don't include segments, but as soon as we include segments in the 
fields we start getting the same error. (*Note: *this observation is only 
for customer report)
Could you help us in resolving this issue?

We have tried both v9 and v10 but the error is same from both.

API availability for audience size displayed while creating new custom segment

Hi,

I am already using the Google Ads API v9 and I am looking for an API that 
can return the estimated audience size that is displayed on the right side 
while creating a new custom segment (screenshot attached).

Path to above mentioned feature on GA UI: Audience manager -> Segments -> 
Custom segments -> Create new

I am already aware of the forecast metrics feature that is supported via 
API but my use case is more in line with the custom segment audience size. 
Please let me know if there is any such API that can serve my purpose.

Can not find Cross_device_conversions_by_conv_time
