Problems with batch jobs

2022-04-07 Thread Ainis Vabolis
Hi,
I have created one batchJob with operation to change TrackingUrl, it is a
simple update, previously everything was working fine. BatchJob finished in
couple of minutes. But now I created the job yesterday and today google ads
api says that job is still running. It looks like it is getting stuck, I
tried to create couple of new batch jobs but they are behaving exactly the
same. I create the batchJob according provided documentation.
Could you look into this issue ?

Best regards

RE: nrecognized fields in the query: \'customer.status\', \'customer client.status\'.

2022-04-07 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API team. However, I had
to delete your initial post as it contained your logs. That said, I am
reposting below your concern without the attached logs :

"Hello, what is the cause of this SQL error?

SELECT customer.status, customer_client.status,
customer_client.client_customer, customer_client.level, " +
"customer_client.manager, customer_client.descriptive_name, " +
"customer_client.currency_code, customer_client.time_zone, " +
"customer_client.id " + "FROM customer_client " + "WHERE customer_client.level
<= 1"

Moving forward, with regard to your concern, it seems that you've encountered
the Query Error: UNRECOGNIZED_FIELD. Upon checking your attached logs, I can
see that you used the v9. That said, this is a version related issue, since the
status fields you are trying to retrieve are supported only starting with the
version 10 as per our release notes.

With this, I would suggest upgrading to the newest version (v10) of the API for
you get this field.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.

Carmela

Hi,

Thanks for your response, I am also a member of the Google Ads API team and let
me provide support to your concern.

Moving forward to your concern, can you check this one if this is what you are
looking for about GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetrics. I refer you to this guide

information on this.

You can also find here the REST API documentation of the said feature.

If you are encountering errors, could you provide the complete API logs

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address

RE: Trouble getting partial failures

2022-04-07 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Walter,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API team.

Moving forward to your concern, as per this document, in Python the
partial_failure_error attr is always present on a response message and is
represented by a google.rpc.Status message. So we can't simply check whether
the field is present, we must check that the code is non-zero.

Let us know if this is what you're looking for.

Trouble getting partial failures

2022-04-07 Thread Walter Bodwell
I'm uploading offline conversions. Most are successful (and I can see them
in the Google Ads UI). Some are not. I'm having difficulty getting an
error message for the unsuccessful ones.

Here's my Python code:

# create conversion
click_conversion = client.get_type("ClickConversion")
click_conversion.conversion_action = conversion_action
click_conversion.gclid = click_id
if conversion_value is not None:
click_conversion.conversion_value = float(conversion_value)
click_conversion.conversion_date_time = conversion_time
click_conversion.currency_code = conversion_currency_code

# upload conversion
conversion_upload_service = client.get_service("ConversionUploadService")
request = client.get_type("UploadClickConversionsRequest")
request.customer_id = customer_id
request.conversions.append(click_conversion)
request.partial_failure = True
offline_conversion_responses =
conversion_upload_service.upload_click_conversions(request=request).results

# process response
for response in offline_conversion_responses:
partial_failure = getattr(response, "partial_failure_error", None)
code = getattr(partial_failure, "code", None)
if code != 0:
error_details = getattr(partial_failure, "details", [])
errors = []
for error_detail in error_details:
failure_message = client.get_type("GoogleAdsFailure")
GoogleAdsFailure = type(failure_message)
failure_object =
GoogleAdsFailure.deserialize(error_detail.value)
for error in failure_object.errors:
errors.append(error.message)
error_message = 'Unknown Error' if len(errors) == 0 else ';
'.join(errors)

The problem is partial_failure always seems to be None regardless of
whether it was successful.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Walter

Since the request was made, 2 new versions of the API, v9 and v10, have

Do you know if these 2 new fields will be available in the v11 coming out

Thank you,

Multiple Offline User Data Jobs with “RUNNING” status for the same user list.

2022-04-07 Thread Alexandra Nasekaylo

Hello!

We are migrating to the new Google Ads API. We are using OfflineUserDataJob
service. We have the following workflow:

1. Create a job:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/rest/reference/rest/v9/customers.offlineUserDataJobs/create

2. Add Operations to the created job:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/rest/reference/rest/v9/customers.offlineUserDataJobs/addOperations.

We are adding 10.000 operations as recommended
https://developers.google.cn/google-ads/api/docs/conversions/upload-store-sales-transactions?authuser=0=id#tips.

3. Run the job:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/rest/reference/rest/v9/customers.offlineUserDataJobs/run

We receive CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION error since we process these tasks in
parallel and multiple processes are trying to modify the same user list
simultaneously.

Reading the response
https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/gdYUwIhh9eU/m/k8qaO0HSDgAJ it
seemed to me we need to wait until one job is finished and only after that
we should create a new job.

But I was able to create and run two jobs containing “create” operations
and one job containing “remove” operations and didn’t receive any errors. I
checked that my list had multiple jobs with “RUNNING” status.

My question is: Is it acceptable to create and run job 1, after some time
create and run job 2 when the job 1 is still in “RUNNING” status? Is it
acceptable to have multiple jobs in the “RUNNING” status for the same user
list?

Could you, please, help me with my question?

Re: How to get Html5UploadAd data

2022-04-07 Thread Marie P-Lavoie
Hi Peter!

Thank you for your quick response and sorry for the delay.

Actually, I was looking for a way to just get basic data, such as the ad's
images in the zip bundle and the names of these images, to identify the
DisplayUploadAd, as I was able to do so in the Adwords API. I was able to
go through the AdWordsService.v201809.AdService and get the TemplateAd (as
it was categorized in the old API), and then I could get the file by using
the field templateAd.fieldMedia.mediaBundleUrl of the MediaBundle in the
TemplateAd. And then using the url, I could make a simple Http request to
get the ZipArchive (an object in C#) and there I could get the images
uploaded with the ad that would help me identify the ad other than just
having the Id.

However, in the new Google Ads API, I don't see a way to get the Media
Bundle inside the ad. I use the field 'ad.display_upload_ad.media_bundle

 '
and receive an asset resource name, which I try to retrieve through the
'asset' view, but I can't get any information for the ad in regards to the
media bundle. So I wanted to know if there's a way, like in the old Adwords
API, to get the whole Media Bundle of this type of ad to be able to show
something to my clients that will allow them to identify their ads in their
reports (other than the ad id).

As an example, here is what we could get from the old Adwords API: we could
at least get the names of the uploaded zip file.

Thank you for your help! :)

Display Network is missing in the new api

2022-04-07 Thread Davina Moriau
Hello,

We are migrating our old Google Adwords API to the new Google Ads API.
In the validation step we notice we are missing all the "display network"
campaigns.

We expect to get the CONTENT state like the enums are defined:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v10/AdNetworkTypeEnum.AdNetworkType

I saw a few old message with the same question, but was wondering if there
was an update around this point?

Kind Regards,
Davina

Re: Customer is not allowlisted for accessing this feature WBRAID

2022-04-07 Thread Kubber
I have the very same issue.
I'm creating Offline Conversions using clicks - I store URL that hits the
page and use gclid to create Offline Conversion. That works with gclid, but
I get that error message when I try to use wbraid parameter.
Instead of setting field 'gclid' in ClickConversion type I set wbraid field
and keep gclid empty.

Summing conversion field (metrics.conversions) at ad level are different between GoogleAds and Adwords

2022-04-07 Thread Triều Phạm
I have created some custom performance report for my customers.
And I have compared click, imp, cost and cv value on RAW data between
Google Ads and Adwords.
I have seen that the value of click, imp, cost are the same but the value
of CV are different.
I don't know why.
I think that the CV value should be also the same.

Can you tell me some reasons for it because I need to explain for my
customers.

Thanks & Best Regards

KeywordPlanIdeaService

2022-04-07 Thread 'Yu Sun' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hey,

I hope everything is going well with you!

I have some concerns/doubts about the new KeywordPlanIdeaService.
We are using right now the old TargetingIdeaService (with request_type
STAT) to get search volumes information for every keyword (average search
volume of last 12 months and also monthly search volume data for the past
12 months).

And in the Service mapping, it shows that the TargetingIdeaService is now
called KeywordPlanIdeaService.

My first question would be: Are there any other services which can be used
considering my case? or do I have to use the KeywordPlanIdeaService?

If I do have to use the KeywordPlanIdeaService, I assume I will need to use
the GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetrics function??
And to properly call this function do I need to create all objects of
KeywordPlan

, KeywordPlanCampaigns

, KeywordPlanAdGroups

, KeywordPlanCampaignKeywords
,

and KeywordPlanAdGroupKeywords

.?

I have gone through the migration documentations a bunch of times but still
can not find the answers I am looking for. Any help from your side would be
much appreciated!  Thank you

Re: Combining SearchQueryPerformance table with KeywordBasicStats table

2022-04-07 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Casey,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Since you mentioned you are pulling Google Adwords data into BigQuery using Big
query transfer, note that this is implementation of the Google Ads to the
BigQuery platform, and implementation of the Google Ads API / AdWords API to
any platform is outside of our scope already. This is because our team doesn't
have access to the BigQuery platform, and is unable to investigate or
troubleshoot the issues on our end.

That being said, as for your concern on reporting to bring together the
KeywordBasicStats table with the SearchQueryPerformance table using BigQuery
data transfer, you will need to get in touch with the BigQuery team by
contacting them through the support channels available here.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

Upon checking the log traces, it appears that the error seems to be related to
the client libraries and not the API. You might find this post on the Github

recommend posting your concern on the Github Issue Tracker as Java client

RE: The field mask updated a field with subfields

2022-04-07 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Eray,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Support team.

With regards to your concern, I checked the error that you encountered
"FIELD_HAS_SUBFIELDS" in Google Ads API documentation this error meaning is
"The field mask updated a field with subfields. Fields with subfields may be
cleared, but not updated. To fix this, the field mask should select all the
subfields of the invalid field".

Also, If you want to know more about this error you can check this

Re: Generate Forecast Metrics returns Quite different response than AdWords API

2022-04-07 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Aqeel,

Thank you for providing more details to your concern.

I would like to inform you that I deleted your latest post as it contains
generated logs.

Moving forward, I can see that the Google Ads API request is not properly
mapped with the AdWords API request. I can see that you've set the network in
the Google Ads API but not in the AdWords API. With this, please ensure on your
end that the parameters you've set to both APIs should be the same,
specifically the network.

As for your concern in the UI, I am afraid that this is outside of our scope
already and would not be able to provide support here. With this, I would
suggest reaching out to the product team via this link to know the equivalent
UI of the said API request.
