RE: Revenue field in UI

2022-06-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Raneen,

Hope you are doing fine. Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads
API team.

Moving forward, to give you accurate recommendations, could you provide the
complete request and response logs with request ID and request header generated
on your end and a screenshot of the Google Ads UI showing this revenue field?

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Re: DeadlineExceed Error due to Authorization issue

2022-06-13 Thread Vijay Kumar
Can you explain why the Ruby client library is retrying in case of an
invalid grant error? That's the problem. That leads to exceeding the
deadline limit. Rather, the client library should raise the
AuthorizationError.

RE: Certain metrics not showing in the reports

2022-06-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Miguel,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

In order for our team to better troubleshoot why these specific metrics fields
are not being returned in your API requests, could you also provide to our team
the complete request and response logs, and request-id, generated on your end,
as well as the login-customer-id that you used?

If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client
libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to

RE: Random campaign budget name for non shared budget

2022-06-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Shipra,

Most probably, the budget was given a name before it was attached to a
campaign, like many of our samples do. In that case, the budget has its own
name. I tested a scenario in Google Ads Search with a budget name and without a
budget name and found this to be true. This works in v11 REST Interface, you

upgrade from version v10 to v11

2022-06-13 Thread Dario Condori
Good morning,
We are updating the version from v10 to v11.
We are using the following java library:

  com.google.api-ads
  google-ads
  18.0.0

I understand that using this library together with the getLatestVersion()
method I would have to use version v11. However, in the logs I can see that
it is still using v10. How could I resolve to start using the v11 version?

attached log capture

Dario

It seems, the client lib internally handles the OAuth token
update:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/refresh-token?authuser=4,

which fails, and results in Signet::AuthorizationError. This somehow gets
wrapped in a GRPC::Unavailable error. And, in case of a GRPC::Unavailable
error the client lib keeps on retrying until the deadline
exceeds:

As per the docs and API here
.

The Campaign budget name in case campaigns has its own budget i.e non
shared budget, The campaign name & budget name are in sync.
But the budget name and campaign name are returned differently for a few
smart shopping campaigns in my account. The budget name is something
random.
The UI does not give an option to see the budget name for nonshared budgets
and the API is returning a "Campaign Id + random number" as the budget name.
Is campaign name != budget name expected for non-shared budgets?

Certain metrics not showing in the reports

2022-06-13 Thread Miguel Angel Garcia
There are certain metrics that don't show in my API reports when I request
them.

It doesn't matter if their values are 0 or something else, they never show
up.

The query works OK (no errors) and the official query validator says it's
OK.

So far, the metrics that I've detected that don't show up are:

1) metrics.conversions_from_interactions_rate
2) metrics.conversions_value_per_cost
3) metrics.cost_per_conversion,
4) metrics.cost_per_all_conversions

Other metrics show OK (including metrics that are very similar, such as
metrics.all_conversions_from_interactions_rate)

It happens when I use the landing page view and keywords view (probably
others too, but I've only tried these two).

Do you know why this happens? And how to solve it? (without creating my own
calculated metrics)

It probably happens with other metrics too (that I haven't discovered yet),
so having a general solution or troubleshooting tips would be great.

Thanks!

Optimizing Google Search Campaign by specific conversion Actions

2022-06-13 Thread Malkhazi Dartsmelidze
Hello. I am using Google Ads PHP library to create Campaign.
I created almost any type of campaigns but didn't manage to optimize them
by specific Conversion Actions.

*For example:*
I have created 3 different Conversion Actions:

   1. *customers/[CUSTOMER_ID]/conversionActions/[CONVERSION_ACTION_ID_0]*
   2. *customers/[CUSTOMER_ID]/conversionActions/[CONVERSION_ACTION_ID_1]*
   3. *customers/[CUSTOMER_ID]/conversionActions/[CONVERSION_ACTION_ID_2]*

Then I created a Campaign: *customers/[CUSTOMER_ID]/campaigns/[CAMPAIGN_ID]*

*I set bidding strategy to MAXIMIZE CONVERSIONS and then tried to set
Conversion Actions to optimize to.*
This is my code snippet:

$campaign->setMaximizeConversions(
  new CommonMaximizeConversions([
'target_cpa' => $this->convert()->micros(1)
  ])
);

$campaign->setSelectiveOptimization(
  new SelectiveOptimization([
'conversion_actions' => [
  'customers/[CUSTOMER_ID]/conversionActions/[CONVERSION_ACTION_ID_0]',
  'customers/[CUSTOMER_ID]/conversionActions/[CONVERSION_ACTION_ID_1]'
]
  ])
);

*Thank you.*

Google Ads API still pulls up deleted AdGroup information

2022-06-13 Thread RK
Hello team,

I created ad group using Google Ads API. After I deleted it from my Google
Ads API account, I searched it again using the Google Ads API. It pulls up
the ad group info from the API even though the ad group is deleted from
Google Ads account.

For our team to further investigate and to compare the degree of the

RE: RSA Ad variations

Hi Aqsa,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Creating and managing ad variations is currently not supported in Google Ads
API, but you can identify the experimental ads created by the ad variations
feature using one of the following methods you may check in this documentation .

You may refer to this one:

If you are using AdGroupAdService, the system_managed_resource_source property
of an Ad object will be set to AD_VARIATIONS.

Retrospective data / total costs changing when running query vs. Google Ads dashboard - Google Ads V10

2022-06-13 Thread Matt Osborne
Hi,

I am having issues with results being returned from the Google Ads API (I
am currently using v10) appearing to change when running queries either for
different date ranges and/or running the same query on a different day.

For example, I could run the below query to get data for the 9th & 10th
May, but when I run the same query again for the past 60 days, the figures
being returned for the 10th May are different to my original results.

SELECT
ad_group.name,
campaign.name,
segments.date,
campaign.id,
ad_group.id,
segments.ad_network_type,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.impressions
FROM ad_group
WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2022-05-09' AND '2022-05-10'

Not only are the two API call results different for the 10th May activity,
the total cost in the Google Ads dashboard reports is different to the two
API results?

It is not every single day in the date range that is incorrect, there
appear to be individual days that seem to be changing in value in both what
the API returns as well in the Google Ads dashboard.

I have examples of the above behaviour with the results from the API,
screen grabs of the dashboard as well as the log files from the API calls,
so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Fetch video asset thumbnail

2022-06-13 Thread Tiana S.
Is it possible to fetch the thumbnail for video assets through the API?

When fetching the ad_group_ad resource
,
in-feed video ads are returned with the following adGroupAd fields filled:

"adGroupAd.resourceName":"customers//adGroupAds/",

"adGroupAd.status": "ENABLED",

"adGroupAd.ad.type": "IN_FEED_VIDEO_AD",

"adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.video.asset":
"customers//assets/",

"adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.inFeed.headline": "",

"adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.inFeed.description1": "",

"adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.inFeed.description2": "",

"adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.inFeed.thumbnail": "DEFAULT_THUMBNAIL",

"adGroupAd.ad.resourceName": "customers/",

"adGroupAd.ad.id": "",

"adGroupAd.ad.finalUrls": [],

"adGroupAd.ad.trackingUrlTemplate": "{lpurl}",

"adGroupAd.ad.addedByGoogleAds": false,

"adGroupAd.ad.name": "",

"adGroupAd.adGroup": "customers//adGroups/"

The thumbnail field (adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.inFeed.thumbnail) just describes
the type of thumbnail, so I thought maybe I can use the asset resource
that's returned (adGroupAd.ad.videoAd.video.asset) to fetch the video asset
with a thumbnail.

But, there's no image field available for YouTube video assets it seems,
only ID and video title:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v10/asset#asset.youtube_video_asset.youtube_video_id

And the other image_url fields available for assets don't return a URL for
video assets...

Is there any way to fetch the thumbnail for video assets?

Thanks in advance!

Tiana

YOUTUBE_SEARCH OR YOUTUBE_WATCH*. We only have ads that are *SEARCH *and
*SEARCH_PARTNERS.*
We used Stitch to help with the ingestion of this data into Redshift, both
with the Adwords API and Google Ads API.
I would like to know if we are supposed to have all ad network types in the
ad_performance_report table or if we need to get the rest of the data
somewhere else. If not, can you tells us what could be the issue and what
information you need please?

Thank you,
Tiago McDonald

RE: Google Ads API Quota Limit

2022-06-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching us out. I am Sherwin from Google Ads API support team. I
hope that you are doing well today.

The RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error usually occurs when you are sending too many
requests in a short period of time. The server throws this error once it
detects that your request has exceeded the system frequency limit. With that
being said, we would recommend setting up short delays between requests or
combining more operations in fewer requests. Please refer to the Best practices
guide to optimize the efficiency and performance.

You may also experience this error if you have already exceeded the daily
(1,000 requests) quota for GET requests/operations. Please refer to this
documentation for the quota values you need to consider daily when performing
requests using the API.

If the error message still exists, please share the complete and recent request
and response logs with the request-id so that our team will further investigate
this issue. Please provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this
option is not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

If you have other concerns, please do not hesitate to reply on this thread.

Regards,

Sherwin Vincent

RE: Set Campaign Goals when Creating Campaign

2022-06-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Vincent,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API team.

Moving forward, you can check this documentation as it contains details about
conversion goals. However, since your concern is specifically about campaign
goals, then please see this documentation for your reference.
