Hi,

We want to simulating function on API.

Coud you tell us , What steps should I take to proceed to the application
process for using "ReachPlanService"?

* Since there was a description of the prior application here

Also, if there is a person in charge in Japan, it would be helpful if you
could let me know.

Re: Migrated our application from Adwords to Google Ads having some issues with User Match List

2022-08-30 Thread Alejandro Alvarenga
Hi Sherwin,

Looks like now is populating data but we are loosing around half of the
records. I have posted in this conversation more detail

https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/GqNawey0zoY.

By any chance can we have like a hangouts session or phone call tomorrow
that may be easier. I am sure this could be resolved within 10 to 15 min. I
can provide the whole request and response from our logs but we are doing
250 request each with 20 email operations so will be a long log to provide
but we can do that as well. I have transferred a smaller audience of 900+
emails as well but we only see a range on your end that said 400-500 so in
that one we also loosing about half. I will appreciate your response and
help.

RE: Is geo_target_constant missing some data?

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for raising your concern.

Upon checking on my end, the criterion ID of the location belongs to one of the
restricted countries / non-targetable locations mentioned on this document. I
was able to replicate the scenario that you encountered on my end that this
location criteria is not returned in the geo_target_constant. However, this
also seems to be the reason why it is not in the geo_target_constant as the
criterion ID of the location belongs to one of the restricted countries /
non-targetable locations. Please see instead the document that I provided to
know the corresponding location of the said ID.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi Google Ads API support team!

Is geo_target_constant missing some data? Some of the location_ids I got in

Is there something wrong with the way I'm querying?

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Eric,

Thank you for posting your concern. Allow me to provide support.

Upon checking, it appears that these in-market audiences are currently not
supported in Google Ads API. However, I can raise a feature request to my team
so that some of the in-market audiences that are tagged as 'Other' will be
supported in the Google Ads API, subject for review. However, would you be able
to provide first the list of in-market audiences that you want to be supported
in the Google Ads API?

To investigate the issue further, could you please provide the complete request

Search Stream - Java issue

2022-08-30 Thread Angelo Veres
Hello, I am having issues with fetching data from the Google Ads API. When
retrieving ~17000 GoogleAdsRows, the first 1 rows are available and
used during the first iterator.next(), but for the subsequent 7000 rows the
search stream is already closed, but iterator.next() tries to create
another request to the closed stream. This throws an error (shown below)
because the stream is already closed. The 7000 rows already seem to be in
the buffer so I'm not sure why it tries to request them from the closed
stream again.

The API docs show (and I followed) the usage of the ServerStream inside a
double for loop:
for (SearchGoogleAdsStreamResponse page : stream)
 for (GoogleAdsRow : page.getResultsList())
 ... processing ...

The error message is:

RE: OfflineUserDataJobOperation Customer Match List issue

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Alejandro,

Here's our add_customer_match_user_list.py sample that has been well tested. We
can look at your 'DEBUG' log level request and response log of raw API
communications of your user data uploads to see if you implemented correctly.

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST
documentation with additional headers and information such as request Id. Here
are logging instructions for our Python Ads API Client Library.

You may send the requested information via "Reply to author" or via
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com with a link to this forum post added to the new

RE: Changing conversions after conversion window expired

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Kate,

Since your query is about changes in counting conversions after a time frame I
can only suggest you reach out to our product support team for further
assistance. The Ads API can only be a conduit to the Ads product as expressed
in the Ads UI. Hence, when your issue isn't with using the API, rather your
issue is a long term metrics change, we can only provide support when their is
a discrepancy in reports between the API and UI.

If you do find such a discrepancy you may send us a 'DEBUG' log level request
and response log of raw API communications combined with an uncropped full
screen screenshot of the UI with a discrepancy from the API log.

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST
documentation with additional headers and information such as request Id. Here
are logging instructions for our Java, .NET, PHP, Python, Ruby and Perl Ads API
Client Libraries.

If you are using our REST interface then the full multi line curl command line
is a request log and adding curl command line option '-i' will also generate a
response log.

Note that the log and the screenshot have to be taken in the same time frame
due to data freshness.

You may send the requested information via "Reply to author" or via
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com with a link to this forum post added to the new
thread.

RE: DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The error DEADLINE_EXCEEDED indicates that your request took longer than the
deadline. That said, you may check this example to set custom client timeouts
and this documentation for more information in timeouts. Note that you can set
the timeout to 2 hours or more, but the API may still time out extremely
long-running requests and return a DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error.

Timeouts are often because what is being queried is too big to send back to
you. It appears that those accounts where this is failing contain a lot of
data. To fix this, I would suggest you decrease the size of your data that
you're requesting back by adding filtration to your queries.

For your questions, “My question is why could this happen to reports which are
relatively small?, What could be recommendations for us? Extend
'timeoutMillis'? Reduce 'timeoutMillis'?, Max conversions lookback for account
we query is 90 days so we need 90 days of data. Will it be more preferable to
request 9 reports for 10 days of 3 reports for 30 days or ...? ”
-You may try first what I suggested you do in the above response. If you are
still consistently encountering said error after the suggestions, then you may
provide us with the complete request and response logs with the request-id , so
our team can better check.

For the PHP client library, logging can be enabled by navigating to this
Logging documentation.

option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

RE: issue :Date is after allowed maximum

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Xu,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Since you are getting “timestamp already exists for this click”, you may note
that this is under the CLICK_CONVERSION_ALREADY_EXISTS error type, To upload
another conversion, you may use a different timestamp. Moving forward, you may
also refer to this documentation having a few things to keep in mind when
creating a ClickConversion, it includes this “If you upload a duplicate
conversion (that is, a ClickConversion with a gclid, conversion_date_time, and
conversion_action that was previously uploaded), a
CLICK_CONVERSION_ALREADY_EXISTS error is returned.”

If the above doesn't help, could you send us the complete API logs(request and
response with request-id) generated on your end? Note that this can be
requested or provided to the developer handling the Google Ads API transactions
when logging of the API requests has been enabled.

These are the specific guidelines to enable it.

Java -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/java/logging
.Net -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/dotnet/logging
PHP - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/php/logging
Python -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/python/logging
Ruby -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/ruby/logging
Perl -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/perl/logging

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead

Moving forward to another error you have encountered, which is “the click or
call is owned by a customer account that the uploading customer does not manage”
-The only reason why the error occurred is because you have uploaded GCLIDs
that do not belong or have been created on the client accounts under the
hierarchy of MCCs you used. With this, you can verify if the GCLIDs indeed
belong to those MCC accounts by using the click_view .

And for the “(Date is after allowed maximum), the data we upload will not
beyond the current date time of actual upload ,since it is not feasible to grab
data in the future. For example in the last email. We uploaded those conversion
action happened on 2022-08-29 and we uploaded them via API on 29th Aug, but it
still failed So is there a time range(or time zone ) for your server which user
can be allowed to upload? “
-Since you are encountering “Date is after allowed maximum” then you are
getting DateError:LATER_THAN_MAXIMUM_DATE, this occurs when the conversion
event was uploaded for a future date, or when the time zone part of the
datetime is not worked out.

Here's more from Upload ClickConversion
- The conversion_date_time must have a timezone specified, and the format is as
-mm-dd HH:mm:ss+|-HH:mm, for example: 2022-01-01 19:32:45-05:00 (ignoring
daylight saving time) . The timezone can be for any valid value: it does not
have to match the account's timezone.

Also enter your GMT offset by indicating + or - and then the 4 digit time
difference. (For example, New York is offset by -05:00, and Berlin by +01:00).
If you use Greenwich Mean Time, then simply enter +00:00 It could be tricky so
this needs care.

RE: issue:Date is after allowed maximum

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Xu,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Moving forward to this,"I believe the data we upload will not beyond the
current date time of actual upload ,since it is not feasible to grab data in
the future." and "So is there a time range(or time zone ) for your server which
user can be allowed to upload?"
-Since you are encountering “Date is after allowed maximum” then you are

If you use Greenwich Mean Time, then simply enter +00:00 It could be tricky so
this needs care.

And for this, “First error: Too short., at conversions[1].gclid”
- There could be an issue with the actual GCLID string you are passing and
might have incomplete characters. You can ensure that the GCLIDs you are
uploading are indeed correct and existing in your account by generating the
click_view report and verifying the value via the click_view.gclid.

Should issues persist, you may provide the complete request and response logs,
and request-id, so our team can investigate further. If you haven't yet, python
logging can be enabled by navigating to this Logging documentation, and by
using the DEBUG (instead of INFO) log level.

Troubleshooting "GRPC target method can't be resolved."

2022-08-30 Thread David Booke
Hello,

I'm using the google-ads python client and am attempting to troubleshoot
the following error:
grpc._channel._InactiveRpcError: <_InactiveRpcError of RPC that terminated
with:
status = StatusCode.UNIMPLEMENTED
details = "GRPC target method can't be resolved."
debug_error_string =
"{"created":"@1661869388.853682000","description":"Error received from peer
ipv4:74.125.138.95:443","file":"src/core/lib/surface/call.cc","file_line":967,"grpc_message":"GRPC

target method can't be resolved.","grpc_status":12}"

google.api_core.exceptions.MethodNotImplemented: 501 GRPC target method
can't be resolved.

I currently have google-ads version 7.0.0 and grpcio 1.47.0 installed. Due
to the requirements of our project, I can't use a newer version of
google-ads than 7.0.0. I've tried installing and using various older
versions of grpcio to no avail. I've checked the requirements of each
module installed as a requirement of google-ads 7.0.0 (google-api-core,
proto-plus, google-auth, etc.), and there are no conflicting versions.

I've tried using both the SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest and
SearchGoogleAdsRequest request types, but I get the same error from both.
Is it possible to make a request and retrieve a response from the Google
Ads API using google-ads version 7.0.0 or am I forced to install a newer
version?

Sample code for reference:
from google.ads.google_ads.client import GoogleAdsClient

creds_dict = {
"developer_token": "REDACTED",
"refresh_token": "REDACTED",
"client_id": "REDACTED",
"client_secret": "REDACTED",
"use_proto_plus": "True",
"login_customer_id": "REDACTED"
}
client = GoogleAdsClient.load_from_dict(creds_dict)
ga_service = client.get_service("GoogleAdsService")
search_request = client.get_type("SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest")

customer_id = "REDACTED"
query = """
SELECT
customer_client.client_customer,
customer_client.status
FROM customer_client
"""

stream = ga_service.search_stream(customer_id=customer_id, query=query)

I'd really appreciate any and all assistance! Let me know if there's any
other information I can provide that'd be helpful.

OfflineUserDataJobOperation Customer Match List issue

2022-08-30 Thread Alejandro Alvarenga
We have followed the code example in your documentation our primary
language is python and I see an issue on the code may be the cause of the
issue we are experiencing. This i s the link to the snipped I am referring
to it.
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/remarketing/audience-types/customer-match
Based on that code we wrote the following function

offline_user_data_operation = client.get_type(
"OfflineUserDataJobOperation"
)
if operation == 'add':
user_data_operation = offline_user_data_operation.create
else:
user_data_operation = offline_user_data_operation.remove

# Creates a first user data based on an email address.
user_identifier_with_hashed_email = client.get_type("UserIdentifier")
# Hash normalized email addresses based on SHA-256 hashing algorithm.
user_identifier_with_hashed_email.hashed_email =
self._normalize_and_hash(customer_record['email'])

user_data_operation.user_identifiers.append(
user_identifier_with_hashed_email
)

return offline_user_data_operation

The issue I see on this code and the one in the documentation is
that user_data_operation is defined but not set back to
the offline_user_data_operation. If you return an array
of user_data_operation you get casting issue because it said
expect OfflineUserDataJobOperation. If you
return OfflineUserDataJobOperation that is what was used to
create user_data_operation executes without issues but not data display on
the list as I expected because the UserData was not set back to
the offline_user_data_operation. For a short period of time and for my
surprise we saw data been populating on https://ads.google.com/ I have
example of that but suddenly stop working. Can you indicate how to set back
the array of UserData to the OfflineUserDataJobOperation.

I could not find anywhere on teh documentation how to do it or any example
online

Re: Campaign-specific goal (conversion) settings

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Patrick,

Thank you for bumping this thread.

While there is still currently no example code available for managing campaign
goals, this guide should provide additional information on how you may proceed :

If you have campaigns with goals that differ from your account-level goals, you
can modify each CampaignConversionGoal and its biddable setting as needed.

If you then would like to further explore code example options, you can reach
the client library owners via their Github (Issues tab) site, and through the
links in the Source column from this guide. I hope this helps.

Changing conversions after conversion window expired

2022-08-30 Thread 'Kate Orlova' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi!
Is it a normal situation when all_conversions and conversions values are
changed after conversion window expired?
For example, I had an all_conversions value as 28.22 in April, and
conversion window as 30 days.
On June 1 the value was still 28.22.
But then in June I've seen that the value became 28.63
Why it was changed after 30-days conversion window?
Is it changes both in UI and in API responses?

Thank you for an explanation

Hi Ajay,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

A start date is unfortunately not supported in both the Customer resource and
also in the customer report of the Google Ads API. That said, if the said date
field is supported in the Google Ads UI, you may provide our team with the
screenshot displaying the start date information so our team can create a

DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error

2022-08-30 Thread 'Oksana Sulyma' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Google Ads support team!

I know there are a bunch of topics in this group related to
DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error, but I wanted to double confirm if I'm doing
everything correct in my individual case.
First of all we have thousands of Google Ads accounts served in our app and
we get errors only for a couple of accounts among all - I'll be happy to
provide their ids privately.
We use https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php and reporting API V11.

We have 'timeoutMillis' set to 120 minutes at our side. And here is what I
see in our app logs, please note request times:

2022-08-25 16:07:19 Loading Ad
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v11/ad_group_ad report)
2022-08-25 18:07:19 Google Ads ApiException was thrown with message {
"message": "Deadline Exceeded", "code": 4, "status": "DEADLINE_EXCEEDED",
"details": [] }
2022-08-25 18:07:49 Retry #1 for the error : { "message": "Deadline
Exceeded", "code": 4, "status": "DEADLINE_EXCEEDED", "details": [] }
2022-08-25 18:07:49 GoogleAdsClient build id done 2022-08-25
18:07:49 Getting report attempt 1 : 2022-08-25 20:08:07 Google Ads
ApiException was thrown with message { "message": "Deadline Exceeded",
"code": 4, "status": "DEADLINE_EXCEEDED", "details": [] }
2022-08-25 20:08:37 Retry #2 for the error : { "message": "Deadline
Exceeded", "code": 4, "status": "DEADLINE_EXCEEDED", "details": [] }
2022-08-25 20:08:38 GoogleAdsClient build id done
2022-08-25 20:08:38 Getting report attempt 2 :
 2022-08-25 20:10:25 MP: Start processing
/mnt/efs/fetch_logs/data/adwords_data8LNjiF, rows (including headers):
330521

In other words we had one attempt to get Ads
report https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v11/ad_group_ad
, waited for 2 hours, then had another attempt and report with 330,521 was
created for 2 minutes. The same things could happen to other reports we get
like https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v11/keyword_view.

My question is why could this happen to reports which are relatively small?
We've tried to reduce request date range from 60 days to 15 days and we
still get the same DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error from time to time.
What could be recommendations for us? Extend 'timeoutMillis'?
Reduce 'timeoutMillis'?
Max conversions lookback for account we query is 90 days so we need 90 days
of data. Will it be more preferable to request 9 reports for 10 days of 3
reports for 30 days or ...?

Thanks in advance,
Oksana

Hi Sven,

Thank you for reaching us out. I am Sherwin from Google Ads API support team. I
hope that you are doing well today.

Moving forward to your concern regarding costs that is not matched from UI and
API. For us to further investigate the issue, could you please provide us the
request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your
end? You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is
not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com. If you haven't enabled the logging yet,
logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client
library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this
link. Add to that, please provide us also the non-cropped/full screenshot of
the UI where the value of the cost that you are trying to fetch is visible?

issue:Date is after allowed maximum

2022-08-30 Thread Xu Rico

I believe the data we upload will not beyond the current date time of
actual upload ,since it is not feasible to grab data in the future.

For example, we uploaded those conversion actions happened on 2022-08-29
 and we uploaded them via API on 29th Aug, but they are still failed

So is there a time range(or time zone ) for your server which user can be
allowed to upload?

Delete/remove Developer Token

2022-08-30 Thread Algo Touch
Hi, a client wanted to test some automation using the Google Ads API so we
generated a developer token. We have decided to no longer pursue this
automation and therefore would like to completely delete/remove the token.
I've not been able to find a way to do that, as the only option I see is to
refresh it. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Re: app installs data in report

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Tonero,

Thank you for getting back to us. I work with Carmela and allow me to assist
you here. I hope you are doing well today.

Moving forward, regarding this, "Is there a way to get app installs values from
the API at Ad_Group level?" I'm afraid that this
biddable_app_install_conversions and biddable_app_post_install_conversions
field is not supported in the ad_group report. To see the metrics and segments
that can be put in the same SELECT clause as the fields of customers, you may
refer to this documentation by clicking “Yes, it is” in the dropdown box.

However, in order for us to create a feature request for this, could you please
provide a complete screenshot of the Google Ads UI showing that biddable app
install conversions and biddable app post install conversions are available at
the Ad Group level?

You can provide it via Reply privately to the author option. If this option is
not available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Thank you for the reply. It appears that this concern is more specific in the
client library so we will recommend that you reach out to PHP client library
owners via posting an issue on this github tracker as they are more equipped to
provide guidance on this issue.

RE: Cost vs. ROAS via the API

2022-08-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern.

I would like to inform you that I am going to delete your current post after
posting this reply. The reason is, the login user account has been exposed in
the provided screenshot. Moving forward, I can see that this metric is indeed
not supported yet to the forecast metrics of the Google Ads API. With this, I
can raise a feature request to my team for this, subject for review. However,
could you please provide first your use case why you need this feature in the
Google Ads API so that I can present it as well to my team?

As for this question "Any idea how can I calculate the (Cost vs. ROAS)
forecast?", I am afraid that our team is not aware on how these metrics are
calculated. However, I would suggest raising your concern to product team via
this link as they are more equipped on how data / statistics accumulated on the
accounts.

metrics.cost_micros from API differs to UI

2022-08-30 Thread Sven Boels
Hello,

We want to get the costs of an ad per day in a specific Daterange using the
following Query:

SELECT segments.date, ad_group_ad.ad.id, metrics.clicks,
metrics.impressions, metrics.conversions, metrics.cost_micros,
segments.ad_network_type, metrics.view_through_conversions,
metrics.conversions_value FROM ad_group_ad WHERE segments.date >=
'2022-08-01' AND segments.date <= '2022-08-31'

If we sum up the values to week costs, they always differ around 6.15 from
the values of the UI output on ads.google.com and we cannot figure out
where this difference is coming from.

Could you please assist?

Thanks,
Sven Boels

Re: app installs data in report

2022-08-30 Thread tonero
Thank you for the feedback. As suggested, I used ad_group_ad_asset_view

 but
unfortunately the summed up values do not match the ones on Ad_Group level
which I got from the Google Ads interface. Is there a way to get app
installs values from the API at Ad_Group level?
