RE: A question about cost_micros in metrics

2022-09-19 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Daniel,

I am Carmela from the Google Ads API team. Thank you for reaching out to us.

Moving forward, could you confirm if the data that you are getting in the
Google Ads API is somewhat aligned with the UI? If yes, then I would suggest
reaching out to the Product Support team via this link as they are more
equipped to provide guidance to this matter.

Regards,

Carmela

A question about cost_micros in metrics

2022-09-19 Thread Daniel Jin
hi I have a question about cost_micros. When I was using google ads api, I
suddenly found cost_micros doesn't always end up with 0 but with other
number like 10023456 as an example. How can it be possible? That means
google ads will cost me $10.023456. I know google ads will eventually drop
the decimal point when they actually require me to pay but I wonder why it
can happen. Could it be exchange rate or bidding system?

Thank you,

How to get Report Data By Keyword_final_url & keyword_mobile_final_url ?

Ad Group Labels do not match the GUI

2022-09-19 Thread Steven Nguyen
I'm using Python to run this query

SELECT
  ad_group.id,
  ad_group.name,
  label.id,
  label.name
FROM ad_group_ad_label

While it completes successfully, the issue I'm finding is that the ad group
labels does not match what is shown in the GUI. We just updated all our
labels yesterday, could this be the reason?

Thanks

Re: Protobuf PHP compiled library segmentation faults

2022-09-19 Thread TommyTek
Hi Nirmita,
  thank you for your quick reaction.

The php compiled extension is compiled and installed properly.
I use:
pecl install protobuf
I can properly download reports, but every once in a while php crashes with
a segmentation fault.

I'm not sure this was clear, the links that you kindly provided are meant
for people installing it the first time, I guess.

Thank you

RE: impression count is increasing in the query

2022-09-19 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Anurag,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API support with your question. Adding
a segment to your query divides rows so you potentially get more rows. An
example in your query is you use segments.date, this divides your row with all
dates combined from 7/8 to 9/6 into a separate row for each day. The same is
true when you segment by city, each city potentially gets its own row.

When it comes to unexpected report results, this support channel can only
support the discrepancies between API reports and UI reports. For any other
issues with unexpected report results I suggest you reach out to our product
support team for further assistance. The Ads API can only be a conduit to the
Ads product as expressed in the Ads UI.

In light of the above, to assist you further, could you send us a 'DEBUG' log
level request and response log of raw API communications of an API report that
differs from a UI report? Note that the UI report needs to match the resource
level off the API report (here's a list of Predefined Reports), have the same
fields in 'row columns' that the API report has in segmenting columns and the
filters have to be the same. Also, both reports have to be pulled in the same
time frame due to issues with data freshness.

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST
documentation with additional headers and information such as request Id. Here
are logging instructions for our Java, .NET, PHP, Python, Ruby and Perl Ads API
Client Libraries.

If you are using our REST interface then the full multi line curl command line
is a request log and adding curl command line option '-i' will also generate a
response log.

You may send the requested information via "Reply to author" or via
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com with a link to this forum post added to the new
thread.

Regards,

Aryeh

The segmentation faults only happen when using the compiled version of the
library; if I include the library with Composer it's fine (but slow)

I opened the issue on the protocol buffer Forum, but they said it's an
issue with Google APIs and not with their library:

https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/issues/10113

Do you have any advice?

This is happening with the most recent versions fo the libraries too.

Thank you

impression count is increasing in the query

2022-09-19 Thread 'Anurag' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
I am running a query to get the impressions count based on city using "*SELECT
segments.geo_target_city segments.date, campaign.id, campaign.name,
geographic_view.country_criterion_id FROM geographic_view WHERE
metrics.impressions > 0 AND segments.date BETWEEN '2021-07-08' AND
'2022-09-16'*

but the count is around 22k without adding *segments.geo_target_city* but
increases to around 45k with adding *segments.geo_target_city.*

whats wrong in the query?

Thanks

Re: Querying change events doesn't return all results

2022-09-19 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Nadav,

At the moment, Change Event service currently tracks changes mentioned in here.
For more information on change event service in API, you may refer to this
guide. If you would be looking to get a fine grained view similar to Change
History, then you may use the change status resource instead. For more
information on change status service, you may refer to this guide.

Additionally, you can filter the changes made by “GOOGLE_ADS_API” client type
if the changes made by Google Ads API. However, some limitations are still
applicable as mentioned in the above guide, while using Change Event service
and Change Status service via Google Ads API.

Besides, note that our team is not aware of getting all objects every day and
comparing them to get specific historical data other than Google Ads API.

Re: Get Sitelinks

2022-09-19 Thread Zweitze
@Nadine, thanks for validating my approach. I still wasn't sure I caught
all scenario's!
@Chirag, I found out the web UI now support sitelinks on customer (account)
level, be aware of that. That's only for new asset-based sitelinks. For
legacy feed-based sitelinks this was never possible and you should not run
into them.

RE: Missing discovery product feed subtype campaigns via API

Hi Marek,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

For our team to further investigate and provide appropriate answers, could you
please provide us first with the complete API logs (request and response with
request-id) generated on your end when you try downloading discovery type
campaigns via Google Ads API and the whole Google Ads UI screenshot without
cropping where you can see the missing discovery (with subtype discovery

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author

Automatically stop the campaign when the budget date is exceeded

2022-09-19 Thread Patrick Nguyễn
Hi,

I want Automatically stop the campaign when the daily budget is exceeded. I
use the following code:

function main() {

var allowedOverdeliveryPercentage = 0.1; // set percentage as decimal, i.e.
20% should be set as 0.2
var labelName = 'pause-campain';

AdWordsApp.createLabel(labelName, 'automatic label needed to reenable
campaigns');

var campaigns = AdWordsApp.campaigns()
.withCondition('Status = ENABLED')
.withCondition('Cost > 0')
.forDateRange('TODAY');

var campaignIterator = campaigns.get();

while (campaignIterator.hasNext()) {
var campaign = campaignIterator.next();
var campaignName = campaign.getName();
var budgetAmount = campaign.getBudget().getAmount();
var costToday = campaign.getStatsFor('TODAY').getCost();

if(costToday > budgetAmount * (1 + allowedOverdeliveryPercentage)) {
Logger.log(campaignName + ' has spent ' + costToday + ' which is more than
allowed.');
campaign.applyLabel(labelName);
campaign.pause();
} else {
Logger.log(campaignName + ' has spent ' + costToday + ' and can continue to
run.');
}
}

}

=

In the first time it seems to run fine, the time after that it shows the
error occurred: "You are already using this label name"

This error causes the ad campaign that exceeds the daily budget to be
unpause and it still works

If I change the label name, in the first run it works fine. From the next
time it will show the above error

What can I do to fix this?

Re: Querying change events doesn't return all results

2022-09-19 Thread Nadav Kremer
Basically what we want is to know when changes happen and what was that
change so we can then use our internal algorithms to offer optimizations
for things like target CPA

Missing discovery product feed subtype campaigns via API

2022-09-19 Thread Marek Misztal
>From April 27 I can download discovery type campaigns via Google Ads API
(https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2022/04/announcing-v101-of-google-ads-api.html).
There are missing discovery (with subtype discovery product feed) campaigns.
If/when this subtype will be present in API result?

Re: Querying change events doesn't return all results

2022-09-19 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Nadav,

To have a clearer view on your concern, could you illustrate to us what you
want to achieve via API? With the help of this information, we can identify
whether what you are looking for is possible in the Google Ads API,
specifically the change_event report.

Regards,

Ernie John

Re: Querying change events doesn't return all results

2022-09-19 Thread Nadav Kremer

Do you have any suggestions for us besides getting all objects every day
and comparing them?

Is there a way to get specific historical data? For example what was the
target CPA or an ad group at a specific date range?

2022-09-19 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Vishnu,

Thank you for raising your concern.

To take a closer look at the issue, would you be able to provide the complete
request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your
end where we can see the error?

You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not
available, then send it instead on this email address
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com.

Moving forward to your concern, for us to further investigate the issue, could
