Re: What are ALL the options for valuetracks, their status (depreciated?), example uses, expected behavior for each ad-type, etc?

2023-03-29 Thread Chad Wood
When I hit "test" after creating a tracking template and final url suffix,
the resulting test links only conform to the tracking template... Why do
the links not contain the final url suffix? Can I trust that it will be
present when the ad is clicked on for real?

We need to have a centralized place for all of this info--one page, all
the info. There's just so much value in using these to created advanced
tracking templates, and yet there's no centralized location to learn about
 each one of the options.

Google Ads API

2023-03-29 Thread gowtham ben mythdre
Hi there,

I am trying to understand about using Google Ads developer token. With the
help of it, I can generate authorisation code and exchage that to get
access token. Which is workig great when trying to do any API query within
the Ads account developer token was created.

I would like to know whether I can use the developer token to authorise
aother Google Ads accout by authorisig the client with required scopes.

Example: Can I use the developer token created under User X's Ads account
to authorise User Y with certain scopes to get a access token and perform
API operation without needing to create a developer token under User Y's
Ads account.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

research keywords oauth

2023-03-29 Thread jz jennyzhang
Hi,

I am trying to launch an MVP by integrating Google Ads API with no code
platform Bubble.io.

In the Ads API, I want to use the Researching keywords use. My users will
login to my website, and they will not need to login to their Google
account, nor Ad creation, nor Reporting, to see how high "allergies" rank:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/access-levels#permissible_use

Will I get approved for Basic Access without OAuth, or do I have to learn
about OAuth via the many disconnected websites and steps that are a barrier
to learning?:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/first-call/oauth-cloud-project

The test account does not help if I have to recode for the Basic Access...
Is there simple documentation or steps to accessing the Researching
keywords API functionality? I searched this forum and googled it of course,
but nothing yet. Thank you in advance much appreciated,

Jenny

RE: Use Google Ads API to synchronize data from Google Ads

2023-03-29 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello Rostyslav,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API Support.

Reporting of performance data is an integral part of Google Ads API
applications. With the API's flexible reporting options, you can obtain
performance data for all resources. However, since some resources such as
metrics are only available to specific reports, I'm afraid that not everything
can be pulled within a single request as you will need to create multiple
reports to pull different data. If you are performing queries to different
resources like campaign, label, bidding_strategy, then there is no way to join
each of your queries into 1 query and get all the data in one response in
Google Ads API.

More information can be found on the below documentations:

Reporting Overview
Reports

Additionally, you may also refer in this guide about the Google Ads Query
Language Grammar. Moreover, trying to retrieve a single report with huge amount
of data may also result in different errors. Thus, we as part of best reporting
practices, we also suggest using segmentation and paging on such scenarios.
More information can be found below:

Best Practices

RE: Conversion actions which use the one-per-click counting type cannot be used with gbraid or wbraid

2023-03-29 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API Forum.

To answer your question, it appears that you have encountered the
ONE_PER_CLICK_CONVERSION_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_WITH_BRAID error. This means
conversion actions which use the one-per-click counting type cannot be used
with gbraid or wbraid. That said, I would suggest using a different
countingType value. This will indicate how conversions for your conversion
action will be counted.

For your reference you may also refer to this help article about about
conversion counting options.

Let me know if you have further questions related to Google Ads API.

Campaign metrics adjustments

2023-03-29 Thread Vitalii Mamontov
Hi!

I am working on retrieving information about campaign metrics (cpc, ctr,
clicks...) and I want to know if there are any header or something like
that, which will show me that resource was\was not changed?

I send this request:
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v12/customers/7864943450/googleAds:searchStream

With body:

{
"query": "SELECT segments.date, campaign.start_date, campaign.end_date,
customer.id,
campaign.name, customer.currency_code, campaign.id,
campaign.advertising_channel_type,
campaign.status, metrics.average_cpc, metrics.average_cost,
campaign.manual_cpm, metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks,
campaign_budget.amount_micros
FROM campaign WHERE campaign.name = 'kryladnepr.dp.ua' AND
segments.date >= '2017-02-14' AND segments.date <= '2022-02-13'"
} If there are any flags or headers in Google Ads API, which will say that.
if I send this request again that the data was\was not changed. In Facebook
Graph API we use ETag, like *If-None-Match* to perform this operation.

Missing Ad Group Labels

2023-03-29 Thread Per Fagrell
Hello,

We have a customer who has labels set on the Ad Group level in the Google
Ads UI, but when we query their ad_group.labels some of them are not
returned. There are several ad groups in the same campaign which are
labeled that return a label resource in this query, but a handful are not
despite that the label is visible in the UI. Since we're not getting any
data out of the API we're not sure what are next steps should be.

RE: How to remove TextAsset

2023-03-29 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Team. I hope you are doing well
today.

I understand that you want to delete a TextAsset. However as mentioned in the
Google Ads API Asset creation and usage that “The AssetService only supports
create operations. Once an asset is uploaded to an advertiser's account, it
cannot be changed or removed programmatically. You must use ad-level operations
to manage associations between individual assets and ads, as described below.”.

In line with this, you may try to use the setUpdate, for example, if you wanted
to remove it from the ad, you would specify an empty array. “Keep in mind that
although you want to remove, you are really just updating the details of the ad
itself.”

Have a great day.

Google Ads API Team

Use Google Ads API to synchronize data from Google Ads

2023-03-29 Thread Rostyslav Bilan
Hello,
We are using Google Ads API to synchronize data from Google Ads with our
database. To do this, we are using multiple queries to get up-to-date data.
However, due to the high volume of requests, we are not entirely satisfied
with this method.
We were wondering if there is a way to retrieve all the data we need with a
single request, rather than splitting it into several. We would appreciate
it if you could provide us with any information or suggestions on how to
achieve this.
We're currently using queries to different tables (campaign, label,
bidding_strategy, ...)
query = ( " select ... FROM campaign WHERE ... " ) response =
ga_service.search_stream(customer_id=customer_id, query=query) ...
query = ( " select ... FROM label WHERE ... " ) ...
Maybe there is a way how we can get all the data in one response or
download a file with all data and then process it on our side?Any help or
guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
for your time and assistance.Best regards,

Linking campaign and audience

2023-03-29 Thread Mridul Chatterjee
Hello - I am using Google Ad Test Manager account to create Audience and
campaigns through API. The audience and campaign both are created but they
are not linked each other. My campaign is linked with AdGroup which is not
linked with Audience, can't be manually linked also, similarly the Audience
can't be manually linked with AdGroup/campaign. Is it limitation for test
account?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API team. I hope you are doing well
today.

With regards to your concern, kindly note that the Google Ads API mirrors the
Google Ads UI. Whatever data shows in the Ads UI report, the API should pull it
the same way, and if the data is not showing in the UI, then it is working as
intended that the API doesn't have this. That being said, could you provide a
full screenshot of the Google Ads UI without cropping where you can see the
data you want to pull in API so that we can further check and provide precise
guidance accordingly?

Hi Lộc,

Thank you for the reply.

I can see that we already have a response to your private email. For this, I
would suggest continuing the discussion with that one email thread you sent,
for better tracking of updates. However, allow me to reiterate the response
from the other thread, and you can see it below:

"Regarding the RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error, kindly note that this means that a
system frequency limit has been exceeded. Its common cause is when sending too
many requests in a short period of time. That said, I would recommend setting
up short delays between requests or combining more operations in fewer requests
to avoid the said error.

In addition, you may see our API Limits and Quotas documentation for more
information about limits and quotas in the Google Ads API. Please see the Best
practices guide to optimize the efficiency and performance and If you also want
to know more about another limit in Google Ads API, then, you may refer to this

Enable Image Extensions for my Test Google Account.

2023-03-29 Thread teamvadw...@gmail.com
Hi Team,

We are using below Google Ads API .Net Library to create Image Extensions
for our clients. We are using our Test Account to validate our changes and
upload Image extensions from our .Net Project.
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/samples/upload-image-asset
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/samples/add-image-extension

But, we are not able to see "Image Extensions" asset in google platform for
our Test Account (PFA). Could you please let us know, how to enable Image
Extensions for our Test Account.

FYI, We know about Requirements for Image assets. But, for testing purpose
we need to enable and test image extensions for our Test account.

Thanks in Advance!!!
