Will "Demand Gen" channel type be available through API when it replaces "Discovery"?

2023-09-05 Thread Kyle P
Currently we are able to request "Discovery" data through the Google Ads
API using advertising_channel_type = 'DISCOVERY'. Will there be something
equivalent for "Demand Gen" when it takes the place of "Discovery" in a

Fetching campaigns detail via google ads php client library.

2023-09-05 Thread Khushal Nayani
I am trying to create a web application where my clients can view their
campaign data. I am using Google Ads PHP Client Library

for this application.

Done installation as per given instructions. Took GetCampaigns.php file
from examples and modified to get desired details of campaign. But here I
want to get the result of GetCampaigns file in another file so that the
class file gets separated and I can work on results further.

So I want to know that how can I access GetCampaign Class main method from
GetCampaigns.php file to other file.

Location of Files
GetCampaigns.php - project/GoogleAdsPhp/GetCampaigns.php
test.php - project/test.php

Find the files in attachment

RE: youtube ads api

2023-09-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Carlos,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Team. I hope you are doing well
today.

In relation to your concern, as mentioned in the API documentation: Differences
from the Google Ads UI
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/campaigns/overview),

“Not all campaign types in the Google Ads UI are supported in the API, such as
Video Campaigns. Video campaign metrics are available for retrieval in the API.
However, video campaigns cannot be mutated at all from the API, including
simple operations such as pausing or enabling as well as complex operations
like organizing, changing criteria, or adding ad groups.”

For more information, please see the Google Ads article: About Video campaigns
(https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6340491).

Have a great day.

Hi,

Thank you for returning to our team.

Please note that our team can only provide support to Google Ads API-related
concerns and technical implementations. That being said, since this is specific
to creating a video ad via Google Ads Scripts, then I would suggest reaching
out to the Google Ads Scripts team via this link
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/support/get-help) as
they are better equipped to provide assistance to this matter.

2023-09-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

I can see that you are trying to pull the assets details for the discovery Ad.
Currently the ad_group_ad_asset_view report only supports AdGroupAdAssetView
for AppAds and Responsive Search Ads.

With regards to the ad_group_asset report, it pulls the extensions attached at
ad group level hence it will not be able to pull said Ads UI screenshot data.

However, to retrieve Discovery Ads and Asset association information, my team
already created feature request to support this. For now, kindly follow our
blog as we will post relevant updates when it becomes supported.

RE: creating a bumper video ad via api

2023-09-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

I can see that you are trying to create a video ad via API. However, please
note that as per this documentation
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/ads/ad-types#ad_type_compatibility),
 the Google Ads API permits only reporting of video ads. Video campaigns must
be created using the UI or Google Ads scripts. Video ads and video campaigns
are currently not mutable in Google Ads API. With this, our team has already
raised a feature request for this subject for review. What we can do is to
advise you to keep an eye on our blog post and release notes for the updates
and releases.

Re: how i can generate keywords_performance_report via the google ads api?

2023-09-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Thom,

Thank you for the reply.

You may also try the ad_group
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v14/ad_group) report to
get this, as the campaign report is one of its attributed resources. You may
try the below sample query for this:

SELECT campaign.id, metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros,
bidding_strategy.target_spend.cpc_bid_ceiling_micros,
campaign.final_url_suffix, metrics.search_top_impression_share,
metrics.search_absolute_top_impression_share, metrics.search_impression_share,
metrics.top_impression_percentage, ad_group.id, ad_group.name,
campaign.target_cpa.cpc_bid_ceiling_micros,
bidding_strategy.maximize_conversion_value.cpc_bid_ceiling_micros,
bidding_strategy.maximize_conversion_value.cpc_bid_floor_micros,
bidding_strategy.maximize_conversions.cpc_bid_ceiling_micros,
bidding_strategy.maximize_conversions.cpc_bid_floor_micros FROM ad_group

However, if this is still not what you are referring to, then you may provide
us with the entire UI screenshot, including its customer ID, where you can see
the expected data you want to get from the API, so that we can further check
this and provide appropriate recommendations to you.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author
option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to
our googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Creating a bumper video ad via api

2023-09-05 Thread Dennis R
I am currently trying to create a Bumper-Ad(Class:
VideoBumperInStreamAdInfo) via the API.I am aware that a corresponding
campaign and AdGroup cannot be created via the API, however I have already
found posts here in the forum that indicate that it is possible to create
bumper ads via the API. For example here:
https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/wD6U0cpAmOk/m/0g7V8CDABQAJI have
already created the campaign and AdGroup manually, so they already exist.
However, it is unfortunately not possible for me to create the ad. I get
the following error message:
Request with ID 'YBFjGTZSFDqguaoSBlXjXQ' has failed.
Mutates are not allowed for the requested resource.This is the code I am
trying to use:

$asset = new Asset([ 'name' => 'Test Asset', 'type' =>
AssetType::YOUTUBE_VIDEO, 'youtube_video_asset' => new YoutubeVideoAsset([
'youtube_video_id' => 'YKsQJVzr3a8', ]), ]); $createAsset = (new
AssetOperation())->setCreate($asset); $assetResponse =
$this->GoogleAdsClient()->getAssetServiceClient()->mutateAssets( USERID,
[$createAsset] ); $asset = $assetResponse->getResults()[0]; $adGroupAd = (
new AdGroupAd([ 'ad_group' => $adGroup->getResourceName(), 'status' =>
AdGroupAdStatus::PAUSED, ]) ) ->setAd(new Ad([ 'display_url' => '
https://www.mydomain.de', 'name' => 'Test', 'final_urls' => ['
https://www.mydomain.de'], 'video_ad' => new VideoAdInfo([ 'video' => new
AdVideoAsset([ 'asset' => $asset->getResourceName(), ]), 'bumper' => new
VideoBumperInStreamAdInfo([ 'action_button_label' => 'testbtnlbl',
'action_headline' => 'testheadline', ]), ]), ])); $createAdGroupAd = (new
AdGroupAdOperation())->setCreate($adGroupAd); $adGroupAdResponse =
$this->GoogleAdsClient()->getAdGroupAdServiceClient()->mutateAdGroupAds(
USERID, [$createAdGroupAd] ); $adGroupAd =
$adGroupAdResponse->getResults()[0];
Now how is it possible to add a bumper ad to an AdGroup via the API?If it
is not possible via the API, is it possible via the "Bulk Actions Uploads"
and if so, how?Many thanks in advance.
