RE: data mismatch between google ui (keyword planner) and api

2024-01-03 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After reviewing your concern, I understand that you are observing the data
discrepancy in the values of Keyword Planner between the Google Ads UI and the
API.

In order to assist you further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs
(request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end
along with the corresponding uncropped UI screenshot (from Google Ads account).

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

This message is in relation to case "ref:!00D1U01174p.!5004Q02r5Hiq:ref"

Thanks,

Google Ads API Team

Data mismatch between Google UI (Keyword planner) and API

2024-01-03 Thread kakaka11
The values called through the Keyword Planner provided by Google and the
API are different. There is a big difference in the values. Is this really
the case?

I used the sample code in the link below.

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/keyword-planning/generate-keyword-ideas?hl=ko
def main(
client, customer_id, location_ids, language_id, keyword_texts, page_url
):
keyword_plan_idea_service = client.get_service("KeywordPlanIdeaService")
keyword_competition_level_enum = (
client.enums.KeywordPlanCompetitionLevelEnum
)
keyword_plan_network = (
client.enums.KeywordPlanNetworkEnum.GOOGLE_SEARCH_AND_PARTNERS
)
location_rns = map_locations_ids_to_resource_names(client, location_ids)
language_rn = client.get_service("GoogleAdsService").
language_constant_path(
language_id
)

# Either keywords or a page_url are required to generate keyword ideas
# so this raises an error if neither are provided.
if not (keyword_texts or page_url):
raise ValueError(
"At least one of keywords or page URL is required, "
"but neither was specified."
)

# Only one of the fields "url_seed", "keyword_seed", or
# "keyword_and_url_seed" can be set on the request, depending on whether
# keywords, a page_url or both were passed to this function.
request = client.get_type("GenerateKeywordIdeasRequest")
request.customer_id = customer_id
request.language = language_rn
request.geo_target_constants = location_rns
request.include_adult_keywords = False
request.keyword_plan_network = keyword_plan_network

# To generate keyword ideas with only a page_url and no keywords we need
# to initialize a UrlSeed object with the page_url as the "url" field.
if not keyword_texts and page_url:
request.url_seed.url = page_url

# To generate keyword ideas with only a list of keywords and no page_url
# we need to initialize a KeywordSeed object and set the "keywords"
field
# to be a list of StringValue objects.
if keyword_texts and not page_url:
request.keyword_seed.keywords.extend(keyword_texts)

# To generate keyword ideas using both a list of keywords and a
page_url we
# need to initialize a KeywordAndUrlSeed object, setting both the "url"
and
# "keywords" fields.
if keyword_texts and page_url:
request.keyword_and_url_seed.url = page_url
request.keyword_and_url_seed.keywords.extend(keyword_texts)

keyword_ideas = keyword_plan_idea_service.generate_keyword_ideas(
request=request
)

for idea in keyword_ideas:
competition_value = idea.keyword_idea_metrics.competition.name
print(
f'Keyword idea text "{idea.text}" has '

Thank you for your response.

I appreciate your assistance. I wanted to clarify that I am currently using
the Google Ads UI for the creation of the test client account, and not the
Google Ads API. Therefore, I do not have specific API logs to provide.

2024-01-03 Thread Kyle P
The campaigns that have been converted to Demand Gen are still coming back
through the API under the "Discovery" advertising_channel_type for me. So I
am still getting the data this way.

Can't create a test client account

2024-01-03 Thread Raimundo Junior

[image: Screenshot_1.png]

Hi,

While logged into my Google Ads account as a test MCC account and
attempting to create a test client account, I encountered a warning
instructing me to link a genuine existing account meeting specific criteria:

   - The linked Google Ads account should have a spending history exceeding
   $1,000.
   - It should demonstrate a track record of policy compliance.

I'm seeking clarification on whether it is mandatory to connect my test
account to a high-quality, real account to create a new test account. Is
this a required procedure, or could it possibly be an error or bug? Your
guidance on this matter would be appreciated.

To reproduce the issue, I follow these steps:

   1. Create a new Google Ads Test Manager/MCC Account as per instructions
   (referencing:

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/best-practices/test-accounts).
   2. Successfully create the Test Manager.
   3. Attempt to add a new Test Client Account (via Accounts > Create new
   account), resulting in a message indicating the inability to proceed.
   Kindly provide advice.

For better comprehension, I've attached a screenshot illustrating our
intended process.

Retrieving Account Id from a gclid, with Multiple Accounts

2024-01-03 Thread Itai Klapholtz
Is there a way to use the gclid of a conversion to retrieve the Account ID
it belongs to? I'm looking for a method or best practice that can help me
link these gclids back to their respective accounts effectively,
considering I have numerous accounts to manage.

Re: conversion reconciliation

2024-01-03 Thread Vasiliy Shtobbe
I am sorry guys it has a sensitive information there.
we see the conversions on the
conversion screen
1. go to tools and settings
2. Select conversions
3. on this screen we see two columns: all conversions = 5 and all
conversion value = 1049,8 but we send in total 1051.79
Please advise where we can see the breakdown of those transactions to see
which conversion affects it?
thanks

Hi,  Google Ads API Team

I have an inquiry about Google Ads API.

I would like to know if there is an API that can turn on the *Broad match
keywords* in search campaign settings.

I didn't find the setting value in the API documentation below.

Re: conversion reconciliation

2024-01-03 Thread Vasiliy Shtobbe
Hi thank you very much,
we use the transaction_id but how i can check the particular transactions
in the ADS?
to make a reconciliation as i can see the difference in total amount -
for example, we send 5 transactions with the value 1000 but in the system
in total we see 998 in total - how i can breakdown it and find which
transaction gives that difference?
thank you in advance

Re: conversion action exists but request response it cannot be found

2024-01-03 Thread derek

I have added the dependency on the log library to the java (maven) project.
I still can't get the full API logs out.

Could you advice how I should go about getting the complete API logs out.
