API basic access request - no response

2024-02-22 Thread knepp harr
Dear Google Ads API community,

I have submitted API basic access request in this week, but I haven't heard
back yet (the application says it will be done in 3 business days).

Could you please help us to know the status of this and if there is
something I can do to get this access?

How Often Google ads stats are updated ?

2024-02-22 Thread Vipul G
How ofter google ads stats data are updated ? I am working on system which
uses google ads api report data for analysis purpose, I am updating last 14
days data in my system form google ads api report

But I can see there is minor difference between past data that was updated
month ago in my system vs google ads report UI

So for how long google is updating metrics like cost, impressions,
conversions related stats into it's system ?

Re: adgroupcriterionoperation - update listinggrouptype unit to subdivision

2024-02-22 Thread Jebron Lames
I figured it out and can now convert a UNIT to SUBDIVISION with additional
UNIT nodes. Firstly, thank you for getting back each time.

For those whom I hope this helps...

*first error:* I was pointing the "others" node parent resource to that of
the root node criterion_id and not the new subdivision.

*second error: * I was subdividing the partition by product_item_id, I
incorrectly configured my code to mimic the case_value property of the
selected node and not what it was going to be subdivided by.

The example is the order of how I am doing it (order of operations). I
want to note though that *I only create a subdivision if a user decides to
subdivide a node (i.e. brand or product type) that is currently a UNIT*.
case_value for all nodes are dynamically determined based on the
selectedNode and to be added UNIT nodes. If it's already a subdivision,
then this process is skipped.

const updateSelectedNodeType = new resources.AdGroupCriterion({
resource_name: tempSubdivisionResource,

Purely comes down to a misunderstanding on my part. Thanks for working with
me on this.

This is exactly the generic answer i sadly wasn't looking for

Assuming these are the Quotas the UploadUserDataAsync is a mutate request
if i am not mistaken? Unless this also is limited like the 1 QPS?..
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/best-practices/quotas

Everything is working just fine using V14. We only bumped the Client
library. So something underlying must have changed...

2024-02-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

By reviewing your query, I understand that you are getting the
"RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED", which means that a system frequency limit has been
exceeded. Kindly prevent sending too many requests in a short period of time
and also ensure to set up short delays between requests or combine more
operations in fewer requests. Also, please check this sample code for how to
Handle a Rate Exceeded Error for more information.

Additionally, we also have daily API operation limits where requests that
violate these limits are rejected with the error: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED. You may
check out API Limits and Quotas for more information.

Also, provide us with the updated complete API logs (request and response with
request-id and request header) generated at your end to assist you better.

Since you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I
would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you
are using. You can refer to the .Net guide to enable logging at your end. For
REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using
the -i flag.

Quota/Resource Exhausted when switching from .NET V14 to V15

2024-02-22 Thread Mads Grout
Hi

We are making the switch from .NET v14 library to v15 to accommodate the
new consent status.

While doing this we encountered a problem.

Hour system uses the UserdataService.UploadUserDataAsync to upload user
data to customermatch lists.
Currently using the V14 library it is able to handle a lot of load. Like
thousand UserIdentifiers a minute or more when we make concurrent calls.

When switching to the V15 library we suddenly just get the following error:
"Status(StatusCode=\"ResourceExhausted\", Detail=\"Resource has been
exhausted (e.g. check quota).\")"

I am quite familiar with all of the documentation and i don't need any of
the basic answers pointing to what UserDataService was made for and what it
can handle.
This solution has been working for well over a year now... And now when
bumping to V15 i suddenly doesn't.

I'm trying to figure out why this happens... I can't seem to find anything
regarding any Quota/Rate limiting changes in any release note, changelog or
blog anywhere.

Is there any explanation for this??

Google Ads API Token Application

2024-02-22 Thread Philipp
Hi

We applied for Basic Access to the Google Ads API to be able to use
enhanced conversions, but didn't get any response yet.
This delays us from rolling out our campaign because we cannot upload the
click conversion.

   - Google Ads Manager Account (MCC) ID: 421-879-6766
   - Cases ID: not assigned
   - Access type: Basic

I assume the team is busy answering all the requests, but it would be great
to get an update about the timeline.

Thank you

Re: Callout assets visibility in Ads when created at Campaign level vs AdGroup level

2024-02-22 Thread Amine Achergui
Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Currently, the code I have used is based on that and I have checked that
the Assets are correctly linked to the AdGroups and the Campaign.
I think there has been a misunderstanding regarding the issue I'm facing.
It's not about the linking of the assets per se, but rather their
visibility within the Google Ads interface based on their level of
association (campaign vs. ad group).

   - When the asset is linked to the campaign, in the Edit page of an Ad of
that campaign, the Asset is visible in the section More asset types.
   - When the asset is linked to the AdGroup, the Asset is not visible in
the in the section More asset types in the Edit page of an Ad within that
   AdGroup.

I replicated this scenario using the Google Ads UI by creating two assets:
one linked to an ad group and the other to a campaign. In line with my API
experience, only the campaign-level asset was visible in the "More asset
types" section on the ad edit page; the ad group-level asset was missing.

Thanks,

Amine

Is it any updates here?
We also requested yesterday

response that this forum is the one place where we can get assistance.
Looking forward.

[Query] Filter our Google Ads UAC Data

2024-02-22 Thread Sameer Patil
Hello,

Can someone respond to the below query?
I am trying to filter Google Ads UAC data via API's. I have been using the
below combination of advertising channel type and sub-type.

   - campaign.advertising_channel_type='MULTI_CHANNEL'
   - campaign.advertising_channel_sub_type='APP_CAMPAIGN'

With this combination, I am missing out on some data. So need confirmation
if UAC should include all 3 channel sub-types? or if above given
combination is the right way to filter data.

Available sub-types:

   - APP_CAMPAIGN
   - APP_CAMPAIGN_FOR_ENGAGEMENT
   - APP_CAMPAIGN_FOR_PRE_REGISTRATION

Ref:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v15/AdvertisingChannelSubTypeEnum.AdvertisingChannelSubType

Thanks,
Sameer
