Re: api call failed with 429 status but apparently was successfully executed

2024-04-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

We have only received the response body. Since you are using the
customers.offlineUserDataJobs.run rest interface, kindly try making the request
to that endpoint and provide us with the updated complete API logs (request and
response with request-id and request header) generated at your end so that we
can investigate why you are encountering the RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error from time
to time for different audiences.

For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by
using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

RE: creating ad group ads in google ads api, regardless of destination not working error

2024-04-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

To understand and assist you better with the policy issue you are encountering,
we would require the complete API logs (request and response with request-id
and request header) to investigate this issue further on our end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging

RE: maximum number of allowed ad group criteria per customer?

2024-04-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After checking, I could see that you are encountering the RESOURCE_LIMIT of
ResourceCountLimitExceeded error means the request you are attempting to create
a resource that would cause the total number of those resources to exceed a
specified limit. Kindly note that there are multiple limits on the number of
resources that can exist in certain contexts. So, identify the limit that's
being encountered by reviewing System limits. Either reuse an existing
resource, or remove resources to create space for new ones. In order to know
the limit of the number of ad group criteria per customer. I would suggest that
you refer to the Campaign and ad group limits.

To analyse the issue further, could you provide us with the below details.

>From when do you start encountering this error? Is this happening with every
>campaign deployment or with a specific call?
Could you provide us with the complete API logs (request and response with
request-id and request header) generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to

Request IDs are provided in the initial message, response payloads also.
Can't provide request payloads since it is sensetive information. I'm not
using any libraries just a REST interface.

Issue happens from time to time for different audiences.

Creating ad group ads in Google Ads API, regardless of Destination not working error

2024-04-05 Thread Jamie
Hi,

Is there a means of circumventing the destination not working error when
creating adverts via the API?

We are looking for this, so that when we are launching a new site, our
media team can create paused adverts which then on site launch can be
unpaused, the site becomes verified that it is working, and the account
starts running

I've tried to create adverts as paused within google via the API but this
seemingly still gets blocked by this policy violation error.

Cheers

Maximum number of allowed ad group criteria per customer?

2024-04-05 Thread Mihály Balás
Hello,

I have encountered some errors when trying to mass-deploy campaigns in an
automated manner. One of the ad accounts I manage started throwing the
following error for each new campaign deployment:

ResourceCountLimitExceededError, { "stringValue":
"ENABLED_AD_GROUP_CRITERIA_PER_CUSTOMER" }, The request would cause a limit
on the number of allowed resources of this type to be exceeded.

The error message is pretty straightforward. At the same time, I could not
find any information on what exactly this limit is. Is it even a hard
limit, or what is it exactly that cannot be exceeded on a per customer
basis?

So, what is the exact limit of the number of ad group criteria per customer
on Google Ads?

I can include specifics but I don't think this question warrants them.

Regards,
Mihaly

Re: How to fetch Unique Users from the Reporting API?

2024-04-05 Thread Mihály Balás
General Kenobi,

Just want to let everyone affected know that the V16 Ads API appears to be
returning this metric correctly as of today. I managed to query it for a
given campaign and the API returned the same number that I can see on the
UI. I was using the official dotnet library for this.

A few caveats:
- The query must be executed with the customer id of the account that is
the direct owner of the campaign. Any managers or root MCC above will not
work and will result in an exception.
- A segment date filtering must be applied. If none is specified, a null
result will be returned without an error. As per documentation, the metric
supports being queried for up to 92 days. I only tried the last 30 days.
