google ads api access

Many people have applied for Google ads api access, but they have not
received a response.

Has anyone applied for google add api access and got a response or changed
to basic access?

Upload Conversion Adjustment not throwing partialFailureErrors

2024-04-24 Thread Selcuk
Hello,

We are trying to implement the uploadConversionAdjustment rest endpoint. We
are encountering the following issue:

We are uploading an ENHANCEMENT with an orderId that does not exist (we
have tried many different random strings), because we want to trigger the
CONVERSION_NOT_FOUND failure message. While doing this, we noticed that we
always get a succesful response back, even when we are certain that this
conversion action has not received a conversion with said orderId.

The request body:
{
  "conversionAdjustments": [
{
"adjustmentType": "ENHANCEMENT",
"userIdentifiers": [
{
"userIdentifierSource": "FIRST_PARTY",
"hashedEmail":
"1b3b25a7c92d9b485a566545f43ef41255172c814fb45775bf25e914ed45ec54"
}
],
"orderId": "ThisIsNotAnActualOrderId",
"conversionAction":
"customers/6989894992/conversionActions/6797143098",
"adjustmentDateTime": "2024-04-24 13:19:45+02:00",
"userAgent": "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64)
AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/124.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"
}
  ],
  "partialFailure": true,
  "validateOnly": false
}
The request response:
{
"results": [
{
"adjustmentType": "ENHANCEMENT",
"conversionAction":
"customers/6989894992/conversionActions/6797143098",
"adjustmentDateTime": "2024-04-24 13:19:45+02:00",
"orderId": "ThisIsNotAnActualOrderId"
}
],
"jobId": "518479714210543166"
}

So my question is: Why is this conversion adjustment succeeding? Our plan
depended on the CONVERSION_NOT_FOUND failure being thrown.

adGroupAd.Asset = "customers/xx/assets/128153732981"
adGroupAd.FieldType = enums.AssetFieldTypeEnum_MARKETING_IMAGE
adGroupAdOperation_create := services.AdGroupAssetOperation_Create{}
adGroupAdOperation_create.Create = &adGroupAd
operation := services.AdGroupAssetOperation{}
operation.Operation = &adGroupAdOperation_create
operations = append(operations, &operation)
req := services.MutateAdGroupAssetsRequest{}
req.Operations = operations
req.CustomerId = "xx"
requestBody, err := protojson.Marshal(&req)
if err != nil {
panic(err)
}
//fmt.Println(requestBody)
request, err := http.NewRequest("POST",
"https://googleads.googleapis.com/v15/customers/xx/adGroupAssets:mutate";,
bytes.NewBuffer(requestBody))
if err != nil {

Big Query - Google Ads Targeted Location issue.

2024-04-24 Thread Tauras Ale
Hey, I've got an issue:
On Google Ads Web every *Campaign* has its *Targeted Location* and user can
track what is Campaign Cost distribution across these Locations.

After data transfer to the Google Big Query, there is table
ads_CampaignBasicStats_
which contains data on date, campaign_id, spend. However it seems to be
impossible to divide this spend by a *Targeted Location.*

I've noticed its possible to map, which locations are targeted by campaign
mapping criterion_ids in* LocationBasedCampaignCriterion* table, however
it still does not solve getting to know what is the distribution of spend
across these targeted locations.

This is only the case for the campaigns that have > 1 Targeted Locations.

Thanks for your help!

Need help from Google API Compliance Team

2024-04-24 Thread TheAnythingGroup Hello
Hello!

Hope you are well!

I'm currently in the process of verifying an APP "Tagalitics" with
sensitive scopes for Google AdWords and Analytics, intended for read-only
purposes. We are awaiting confirmation from our Compliance Team regarding
the approval of these scopes.

In the meantime, could you please provide us with an update on the status
of our API verification? We are eager to launch our platform and offer our
services, but we need to ensure that everything is compliant with your
guidelines and standards before proceeding.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt
response.

Best regards,
Franco

getAvgMonthlySearches returning incorrect values?

2024-04-24 Thread Alex Gunner
Hello,

Is it possible that GenerateKeywordIdeas - getAvgMonthlySearches() returns
bogus values?

I used the GenerateKeywordIdeas sample for a bunch of keywords and it
returned 0 for a certain keyword.

I retried the same batch today and poof, it now says that the same keyword
has 3600 searches and according
to getKeywordMetrics().getMonthlySearchVolumesList() - it never had 0
average monthly searches.

Is this a known issue, should I only rely on what I see in the web UI and
not the API?

Thank you.
