RE: short description asset for a valid asset group is required

2024-11-05 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

Regarding the error "asset_group_error" while making the request to
MutateAssetGroups, kindly note that the AssetGroup within a Performance Max
campaign necessitates an initial minimum requirments of assets. These assets
may comprise pre-existing ones utilized in other campaigns or newly created
assets specifically for an AssetGroup within a Performance Max campaign. These
errors might occur when asset requirements are not met. Kindly follow this
guide to ensure minimum asset requirements are met.

Also, you can refer to this code snippet to see how programmatically you can
create the asset groups as well as how to link the asset group to assets.

I hope it helps.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that the value must exactly match one of the authorized redirect
URIs for the OAuth 2.0 client, which you configured in your client's API
Console Credentials page. If this value doesn't match an authorized URI, you
will get a redirect_uri_mismatch error. Make sure that you have configured the

Also, could you confirm if you’ve followed this guide to add a line with:

Re: location asset total metrics

2024-11-03 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

To get the total row with non-overcounted metrics for each asset field type, we
have to use the asset_field_type_view resource but this resource does not
support the location asset. You may check this field
asset_field_type_view.field_type to know the supported asset field type.

Since the location asset type is not supported in the API, I will raise a
request to add this feature to be available in the Google Ads API. We cannot
provide a scheduled timeline for the availability of this feature in the Google
Ads API. I would recommend you to follow our Release Notes and Blog Post for
future updates.

Please be informed that I have removed your response from the forums as it
contains the PII information. You can send the details via Reply privately to

RE: location asset total metrics

2024-10-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

The location assets are handled differently from other asset types. See
Location assets for details. The campaign_asset.field_type won't contain the
asset type 'location'. You need to use the asset.type field from the asset
report. kindly note that this report shows without metrics data. Please see the
sample query below for reference:

SELECT asset.location_asset.business_profile_locations,
asset.location_asset.location_ownership_type, asset.location_asset.place_id,
asset.id,
asset.name, asset.resource_name, asset.source FROM asset WHERE asset.type =
'LOCATION'"

You can try making a request using the Search or SearchStream by passing the
customer Id. Also, you can use Query Builder to create your query and Query
Validator to validate your query. Also, you can check the Conversion reporting
for more information.

your "prod-like" account to unlock the ability to create sub-accounts within
its hierarchy.

Re: issue with a test manager account

2024-10-29 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Yes, you’re correct that you can link one of the client's accounts to your
"prod-like" account with "email-only" access. When you send the link invitation
from your side, you can set the access level to "email-only" at that time. Once
the client accepts the invitation, the "email-only" access will be applied to
the link automatically, without the client needing to set it manually. I would
recommend you to refer to this help center article for more information as it
explains the step by step procedure on how to grant access to the users in the
Google Ads account.

Re: ability to change payment mode

2024-10-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Please note that it is not possible to perform the combination of 3 operations
mentioned by you at the same time as budget_type is an immutable field. Kindly
follow the below steps to change the payment mode to conversions via API:

As it is not possible to update a campaign budget type, I would recommend that
you create a campaign budget using CampaignBudgetService with a budget type as
FIXED_CPA.
Update the campaign_budget field with the newly created campaign budget
resource name, payment_mode to conversions, and bidding_strategy to target_cpa
using CampaignService.

Hope this helps. If you are facing any issues, please feel free to get back to
us with the complete API logs(request and response with request-id and request
header).

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

You can use the Google Ads API to retrieve a list of columns data
programmatically. Make sure you have set up a Google API Console project and
enabled the Google Ads API in your project. I would recommend you to refer to
the  following documents:

Developer token
Refresh token
Client Id and client secret

I would suggest you to check this introductory guide to know more information
regarding the details that you should have to make a Google Ads API call. You
may check this guide Make an API call. You can also download a client library
to start using the Google Ads API with the programming language of your choice.
I would recommend you to check this documentation for reporting and Common Use
Case Example and create and submit a query to the Google Ads API to get back
data.

RE: error when uploading a click conversion

2024-10-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

As per provided information, I understand that when you are trying to upload
the conversion data through API you are getting NO_CONVERSION_ACTION_FOUND
error and also the conversion action status is showing as ‘Needs Attention’.

This means that the conversion action specified in the upload request cannot be
found. The specified conversion action is either not enabled or cannot be found
within the Google Ads account. Make sure that you have to Enable conversion
tracking in your upload and is owned by the customer sending the upload request.

I would recommend you to kindly refer to this help center article "Conversion
Tracking: Troubleshooting conversion tracking status" to troubleshoot your
conversions based on your conversion action ID status. Also, I would recommend
you to refer to the "How to fix common upload errors" article to avoid the
errors.

Also, I would suggest you refer to this "Debug common errors" documentation for
more information.

If the issue persists even after trying with the provided suggestions,please
provide us with the complete updated API logs (request and response logs with
request-id and request header) generated at your end to better assist you
further.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

2024-10-25 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please find the answers for your questions below:

1. Am I correct about the Google Ads rules and policies above?

You're correct that verified Business Names & Logos are generally accessible
only for verified Google Ads accounts, which require billing information. In a
dev environment without billing info, these features can't be fully tested in a
Test Manager Account.

2. If we link one of the client's prod sub-accounts to our "prod-like" account,
can we somehow disable usage of that sub-account in our "prod-like" to not
accidently do bad things via UI and APIs?

By modifying access rights and utilizing the Google Ads API account-level
limits, you can reduce the dangers associated with linking one of the client's
production sub-accounts to your "prod-like" account. Consider limiting the
sub-account's access level within your "prod-like" account to the bare minimum
needed for testing in order to avoid unintentional changes. This help center
article explains the levels of access that you can assign and the corresponding
features available for each access level.

3. If we link the entire client's manager account, can we somehow disable usage
of that linked manager account in our "prod-like" manger account to not
accidently do bad things via UI and APIs?

Linking the entire client's Manager account might increase the risk of
accidental changes. Linking a single sub-account with restricted rights is the
safest approach since it lets you test with a smaller scope and lowers the
possibility of inadvertent changes being made to the manager account as a whole.

RE: issue with impression data in performance max campaign placements in v18

2024-10-25 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

According to the release notes, the performance_max_placement_view report only
provides impressions for placements where Performance Max ads were served. If
you are seeing the same impressions value for each placement, provide us with
the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header)
generated at your end and uncropped UI screenshot by highlighting the fields
that you are trying to retrieve using Google Ads API.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that Google Ads does automatically filter out invalid clicks that
may be suspicious or fraudulent. These filters help protect advertisers from
paying for clicks that are not genuine. I would suggest you to check this help
center article Managing invalid traffic for more information. The Google Ads
API's metrics.general_invalid_clicks metric provides data on general invalid
clicks, including those generated by bots, crawlers, or irregular patterns. You

RE: refresh token expiring in 7 days

2024-10-22 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, your issue is related to the refresh token.
Refresh token expires every 7 days when your google project's publishing status
is 'Testing'. You can refer to the document Refresh token expiration for more
information. Kindly note that if you want to avoid the refresh token expiring
in 7 days, go to the Google API Console and navigate to the OAuth consent
screen and then change the publishing status to “In production”. If its
publishing status is in "In production" already, this means that you have
already applied this setting up your OAuth consent screen instruction to that
account that makes the life of the refresh token longer.

I hope it helps.

Re: customer match for search not working

2024-10-21 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Upon checking the audience segment ID (8719539982), I could see that the list
size is showing as '1.1K - 2.4K'. A list could appear smaller than expected
when viewed in the Audience Manager from the Google Ads UI. This view shows the
number of active users in the list. For more information, see this
troubleshooting guide. I would recommend you to refer to the 'Compare to the
Google Ads UI' documentation for more information. For privacy purposes, the
user list size shows as zero until the list has at least 1,000 members. After
that, the size is rounded to the two most significant digits. Can you confirm
if you are passing the consent field of customer_match_user_list_metadata in
your OfflineUserDataJob create requests?

Google Ads only uses a Customer Match user list for targeting if it has met a
minimum threshold of active users at the time the ad is served; active users is
the number of users on your list who are active on Gmail, Search, YouTube, or
Display. Upload at least 5,000 members to increase the chance of having enough
matched, active users for targeting.

As you are saying, your list has below 5000 users, then as per the list size
'1.1K - 2.4K' which is shown in Google Ads UI is valid. However, I could see
that daily replacement operation is taking place with this audience segment ID.
Can you confirm whether you are removing any users from the user list? If yes,
in order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header)
generated at your end to better assist you further.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging

You can follow the following steps to avoid this issue:

Go to the Google API Console and navigate to the OAuth consent screen
Change the publishing status to “In production”

Also, note that the invalid_grant error usually indicates an issue with the
refresh token. That said, you’ll need to regenerate credentials and refresh
tokens. Alternatively, you may use the OAuth Playground to generate refresh and
access tokens. Once you have a valid refresh token, the error should disappear.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you face any issue.

provides impressions for placements where Performance Max ads were served. It
does not include data on clicks or costs. If you can view these metrics (clicks
and cost) in the Google Ads UI, please provide an uncropped screenshot with the

these metrics included in the performance_max_placement_view report via the

RE: retrieving ads account details

2024-10-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

In order to retrieve customer account details for each ad account in the Google
Ads API, you can execute the following query:

SELECT customer_client.id, customer_client.level,
customer_client.currency_code, customer_client.client_customer,
customer_client.manager, customer_client.status, customer_client.resource_name
FROM customer_client

You can try making a request using the Search or SearchStream by passing the
customer Id. Also, you can use Query Builder to create your query and Query
Validator to validate your query. I hope this helps, let me know how this goes
on your end.

If you are not looking for this, kindly provide us the uncropped UI screenshot
of the Google Ads account details individually that you require to retrieve via
the API.

RE: clarification on campaign url options in google ads api

2024-10-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Yes, the upgraded URL is deprecated. To set the campaign URL, you need to use
the customers.campaigns.mutate rest interface method. In the campaign
operation, you can specify the trackingUrlTemplate, finalUrlSuffix and
urlCustomParameters[].

You may try the below sample request body:

{
  "operations": [
{
  "create": {
"name": "testing_search_campaign",
"advertisingChannelType": "SEARCH",
"campaignBudget":
"customers/{customer_id}/campaignBudgets/{campaign_budget_id}",
"maximizeConversions": {
  "targetCpaMicros": 1724976

},
"status": "ENABLED",
"startDate": "2024-10-26",
"endDate": "2024-12-28",
"targetingSetting": {
  "targetRestrictions": [
{
  "bidOnly": true,
  "targetingDimension": "AUDIENCE"
}

  ]

},
"finalUrlSuffix": "",
"trackingUrlTemplate": "",
"urlCustomParameters": [
  {
"key": "",
"value": ""
  }

]

  }

}

  ],
  "partialFailure": true,
  "responseContentType": "MUTABLE_RESOURCE"

}

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions.

RE: add users to audience list

2024-10-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please find the answers below for your questions.

Can I add users to my already-created list without creating the offline job?

As per this API documentation, it required an OfflineUserDataJobOperation to
append customer contact information to a customer list. However, you can
utilize the UserListService to update the user lists.

Please be aware that user list updates made through UserDataService don't
appear as uploads in the Google Ads UI. We recommend that you use the
OfflineUserDataJobService if you're using the API to manage user lists that are
also managed in the UI.

How can I know that a job is pending or completed?

You can use the resource offline_user_data_job to get the resource name of the
offline user data job as well as the status of the corresponding job. Please
refer to the following query to fetch the required information.

SELECT offline_user_data_job.id, offline_user_data_job.status FROM
offline_user_data_job

Where can I see JobID? As you suggested this.

The above-suggested query will help you to fetch the corresponding job ID.

2024-10-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, it appears you are attempting to link a
STRUCTURED_SNIPPET asset to a Performance Max campaign asset group, and
encountering the UNSUPPORTED_FIELD_TYPE error. This is because Performance Max
campaigns do not support STRUCTURED_SNIPPET assets, which is why you're seeing
this error. I would recommend you to refer to the 'Use the asset in an ad'
documentation, which outlines which asset types are supported by various ad and
campaign types in the Google Ads API.

I hope this clarifies.

Re: issue with billing setup via api - php

2024-10-16 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Upon checking your account, I could see that you don't have any billing setups
present in your account. As per this guide, when creating a new billing setup,
this is when the setup should take effect. NOW is the only acceptable start
time if the customer doesn't have any approved setups. As you don't have a
billing setup present in your account, I would suggest you to pass the
startTimeType field and set it to 'NOW' instead of passing the startDateTime
field as mentioned. I would recommend you to refer to the 'Creating new billing
setups' guide and the below example as it clearly described.

If you are still facing issues even after following the provided suggestion,
then I would request you to provide the complete updated logs (request and
response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end to
better assist you further.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

RE: shopping performance report error

2024-10-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, it appears that you have specified the date
range as '2024-01-01' to '2024-06-31'. Please be aware that June only has 30
days. To retrieve product performance data for a specific merchant center ID
and period, you can try the following modified query:

SELECT metrics.conversions, metrics.impressions, metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.conversions_value, segments.device, segments.product_item_id,
segments.product_merchant_id, segments.date
FROM shopping_performance_view
WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2024-01-01' AND '2024-06-30' AND
segments.product_merchant_id IN (12345678)

Additionally, you can utilize the Query Builder and Query Validator to build
and validate your queries. To retrieve Google Ads API entities and reporting
data, you can use one of these Rest Interface methods like
GoogleAdsService.SearchStream or GoogleAdsService.Search.

RE: how to add account/campaign-level shared set via api, and issues with adding campaign-level shared set

2024-10-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, I understand that you are trying to
programmatically add a shared exclusion list (shared set) at the account level
using the Google Ads API, but haven't found a direct method to do so and are
seeking guidance on how to achieve this through code. Can you confirm the
SharedSetType that you are trying to create? I would recommend you to kindly
refer to the Create And Attach Shared Keyword Set guide as it explains clearly
on how to create a shared set and attach it to the campaign using the Google
Ads API. We have tried this approach in creating the shared set types as
'NEGATIVE_KEYWORDS' and were able to succeed in attaching the shared set to the
campaign. You can use the customers.sharedSets method for creating the shared
set and customers.campaignSharedSets method for attaching the shared set to the
campaign. However, I am attaching the sample request and response logs for your
reference.

Shared set Creation:
=

Request Body:

POST
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v17/customers/{customerId}/sharedSets:mutate?key=[YOUR_API_KEY]
 HTTP/1.1

developer-token: **
Authorization: Bearer [YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN]
Accept: application/json
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "operations": [
{
  "create": {
"name": "shared set in client account",
"type": "NEGATIVE_KEYWORDS"
  }
}
  ]
}

Response:
==

HTTP/1.1 200
cache-control: private
content-encoding: gzip
content-length: 109
content-type: application/json; charset=UTF-8
date: Tue, 15 Oct 2024 08:22:32 GMT
server: ESF
vary: Origin, X-Origin, Referer

{
  "results": [
{
  "resourceName": "customers/{customerId}/sharedSets/{shared_set_id}"
}
  ]
}

Attaching the shared set to the campaign:
===

Request Body:
=

POST
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v17/customers/{customerId}/campaignSharedSets:mutate?key=[YOUR_API_KEY]
 HTTP/1.1

developer-token: **
Authorization: Bearer [YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN]
Accept: application/json
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "operations": [
{
  "create": {
"campaign": "customers/{customerId}/campaigns/{campaignId}",
"sharedSet": "customers/{customerId}/sharedSets/{shared_set_id}"
  }
}
  ]
}

Response:
=

HTTP/1.1 200
cache-control: private
content-encoding: gzip
content-length: 129
content-type: application/json; charset=UTF-8
date: Tue, 15 Oct 2024 08:38:45 GMT
server: ESF
vary: Origin, X-Origin, Referer

{
  "results": [
{
  "resourceName":
"customers/{customerId}/campaignSharedSets/{campaignId}~{shared_set_id}"
}
  ]
}

Similarly, we created a shared set at the MCC level using the Google Ads API
and attempted to link it to a campaign, but encountered a RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND
error. We later understood that since campaigns cannot be created at the MCC
account level, the shared set cannot be attached to client-level campaigns.
However, we were able to apply the MCC level shared sets 'NEGATIVE_KEYWORDS' to
the client level campaigns without any issues from the Google Ads UI.

In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header)
generated at your end and uncropped UI screenshot of the Google Ads account
where you are facing the issue.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

Re: error occuring while making asset group assets and asset groups for launching p max campaign using rest api

2024-10-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Please be informed that I have removed your response from the forums as it
contains the PII information.

I understand that you are using the assetGroups method to create the asset
groups for PMax campaigns using the Google Ads API. Performance Max campaigns
are composed of multiple resources, and you have the option to create these
separate resources in unique requests or in a single bulk mutate request.
However, AssetGroups and associated AssetGroupAssets in standard Performance
Max campaigns must be created in a single atomic request. Assets can be created
individually and need to be attached with the asset IDs directly or you need to
create the assets using the assetOperation. You need to make the bulk request
using the 'googleAds.mutate' method in the Google Ads API. You can refer to the
sample Java code for your requirement. Also, I would recommend you to refer to
the 'Group operations with mutate requests' for more information. We have tried
this approach and were successfully able to create the assetGroup. However, I
have attached the sample request body for your requirement.

RE: search_term_view data issue

2024-10-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I reviewed your GAQL query and found no issues, it is valid. Additionally, the
'metrics.impressions' field is compatible with the search_term_view resource in
the Google Ads API and doesn't appear to be problematic. Additionally, you can
utilize the Google Ads Query Builder and Query Validator to build and validate
the queries while retrieving the data from the Google Ads API.

Could you confirm whether you are getting an error while executing this GAQL
query? Also, what do you mean by “metrics.impressions data was problematic”?

In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header)
generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are

RE: inquiry on using curl to implement uploadclickconversions in google ads api

2024-10-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please find the answers to your questions below:

1. What method should I use with cURL to implement UploadClickConversions?

You can use the method 'customers.uploadClickConversions' to upload offline
click conversions into Google Ads via the API.

2. What specific parameters do I need to include in the cURL request?

Follow this section on 'construct the request' under the upload click
conversions guide for the guidance on how to construct your
'UploadClickConversionsRequest' and set its fields to appropriate values.

3. Is there any example or documentation that illustrates how to use cURL for
this purpose?

You can use the 'Try this method' feature to call the
'customers.uploadClickConversions' method on live data and see the result. When
you are adding the request parameters and the request body to this method, this
feature will automatically generate a cURL command.

Note that there are no differences in the method that you should use and the
parameters to include in a request, whether you are using gRPC or REST to call
the Google Ads API.

I hope this helps.

RE: regarding lead form assets on performance max campiagns

2024-10-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Could you please confirm whether you are trying to create an asset group under
a PMax campaign? If yes, Kindly note that, an asset group is a collection of
assets centered on a theme or related to a target audience. Asset groups
contain one or more final URLs. At least one final URL is required. Use the URL
that is most relevant to the conversion path for the given asset group and
campaign objectives. I would recommend you to check this guide on Creating
Performance Max Asset Groups via the Google Ads API.

If the issue still persists even after following the steps mentioned in the
above guide, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response
with request-id and request header) generated at your end so that we can better
assist you.

Please be informed that I have removed your response from the forums as it
contains the PII information. You can send the details via Reply privately to
the author option, or direct private reply to this email.

RE: standard access limits not being applied to our account

2024-10-09 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ian,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Upon reviewing your concern, I understand that you are getting the
RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error with the Google ads API. Please note that the
RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error generally occurs when you are sending too many
requests in a short period of time. The server throws this error once it
detects that your request has exceeded the system frequency limit.

Yes, you are correct. Basic access allows the developer token to execute up to
15,000 operations per day, while Standard access allows for an unlimited number
of operations per day. For more information, you may check the Access Levels
and Permissible Use document.

In order to investigate the issue further, please provide us with the complete
API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header)
generated at your end along with the uncropped UI screenshot (with visible
customer Id) to better assist you on this request.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging

RE: data freshness and sla of google ads api

2024-10-09 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

-> I would like to know how frequently the cost_micros, campaign_budget_name,
ads_spent_date_ct, clicks , impressions etc gets updated in a day. If there is
any document of the SLA or Data freshness regarding this it will be helpful.

Kindly note that your account statistics (such as clicks and impressions) are
usually updated in less than 3 hours. For example, statistics on the total of
all clicks received by 6 p.m. on Friday will usually be available by 9 p.m. For
more details, please find the Data Freshness article to know about the expected
time of update for the clicks, impressions, etc.

-> Another query is: While I am calling my API at segment.hour, and if I run my
API every hour level, will the cost, click and impressions data get updated at
hour level split or will I get the data at aggregated level?

When you use ‘segment.hour’ in your query, you would get hourly data on the
updated clicks and impressions that are updated in your account till that
particular hour and not the aggregated level data. For more information, please
refer to the Data Freshness article.

If there are any more concerns related to the Google Ads API, feel free to
reach out to us.

Re: location asset availability in api report

2024-10-08 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Oksana,

The location assets are handled differently from other asset types. See
Location assets for details. The campaign_asset.field_type won't contain the
asset type 'location'. You need to use the asset.type field from the asset
report. Please see the sample query below for reference:

SELECT asset.location_asset.business_profile_locations,
asset.location_asset.location_ownership_type, asset.location_asset.place_id,
asset.id,
asset.name, asset.resource_name, asset.source FROM asset WHERE asset.type =
'LOCATION'"

I have successfully replicated the above query on my end and managed to
retrieve the location asset using the customer ID "1618748068". Kindly give
this query a try. Once you have obtained the place ID, you will need to utilize
the Places API to access the details of the locations, which incurs a cost.

Could you also let us know which report you've used earlier to retrieve the
location ID?

RE: optimisation score

2024-10-08 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

No, the optimization score in Google Ads is generally only available for
active, live campaigns. The optimization score is shown for active Search,
Display, Video Action, App, Performance Max, Demand Gen and Shopping campaigns
only. to fetch the optimization score for the campaign you may try the below
GAQL query :

SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, campaign.optimization_score,
metrics.optimization_score_url, metrics.optimization_score_uplift
FROM campaign

Please note that the above query will return the optimization score as zero if
the campaigns are not active. Additionally, you can utilize the Query Builder
and Query Validator to build and validate your queries. To retrieve Google Ads
API entities and reporting data, you can use one of these Rest Interface
methods like GoogleAdsService.SearchStream or GoogleAdsService.Search.

I hope this clarifies. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

You can utilize the Google Ads API that provides relevant keyword data, such as
the Search Terms report or the Keyword Ideas, etc. Keyword Planning in the API
can do the following:

Generate keyword ideas.
Generate ad group themes.
Generate historical metrics.
Generate forecast metrics.

To use the above planning service, you need to integrate the Google Ads API in
your internal system. To do this, you have to get the following prerequisites
before proceeding with keyword planning.

Google Ads Manager account: You need a Google Ads Manager account to apply for
the Google Ads API.
Developer token: This token lets your app connect to the Google Ads API. Each
developer token is assigned an API access level, which controls the number of
API calls you can make per day as well as the environment to which you can make
calls.
Google API Console project: The project is used for generating an OAuth 2.0
client ID and secret for your app. The ID and secret can then be used to
generate the OAuth 2.0 credentials needed in API calls to the Google Ads
account. The project also enables the API to accept calls.
Google Ads client account: This is the account you're making API calls against.
You need necessary permissions to operate on this account, such as fetching
reports or making changes to campaigns.
You also need the 10-digit account number of the account you're making API
calls to. This is displayed in the Google Ads web interface in the form
123-456-7890. This account number is passed as a parameter to the Google Ads
API call without the hyphens: 1234567890.
Support tools and client libraries: This set of tools can help you integrate
with the API more quickly.

Please be aware that all requests to Keyword Planning services for both
standard and basic access are rate limited. Fewer requests are allowed per
minute when compared to other services.

I hope it helps.

strategy using the API? If yes, kindly provide us with the complete API logs
(request and response with request-id and request header) generated from the
REST API Interface in .txt format.

If not, could you further elaborate on what exactly you are looking for from
the Google Ads API support team? If possible, please share the related
screenshots for further assistance.

RE: i cant option for creating ad groups and keywords for a campaign

2024-10-03 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

To assist you further, Could you please confirm whether you are using Google
Ads API or Google Ads UI to add ad groups and keywords?

Google Ads UI: If you're interacting with Google Ads through a web browser
interface with menus, buttons, and visual representations of your campaigns and
data, you're using the UI.

Google Ads API: If you're working with code libraries or scripts to interact
with Google Ads programmatically, you're using the API. This involves writing
code that sends requests and receives responses from Google Ads, bypassing the
visual interface

RE: create demand gen campaign using ads api

2024-10-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

As mentioned in the issue tracker, that the issue was fixed in PR #1043. They
will release the new version of the client library later. But you can check out
the code in that pull request right now if you wish. You can follow the release
notes for the new version of the client library which will be released later.
As this error is specific to the client library, if you still encounter this
issue, I would suggest you create a "New issue" with the developer who
maintains the PHP client library using this link.

RE: request for access to auction insights data via api or query

2024-10-01 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that the 'auction insight' metrics are not publicly available to
retrieve via the Google Ads API. However, I will raise a request for this
feature to be available in the Google Ads API. I cannot provide a scheduled
timeline for the availability of this feature in the API. I would recommend you
to kindly follow our Release Notes and Blog post for future updates.

RE: inquiry regarding automatic conversion of protobuf types for google ads api

2024-09-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello T Sumanth,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team. I understand you
would like to know if there are any libraries or methods available to assist
with handling the various Protobuf types offered by the Google Ads API. The
Google Ads API supports 6 open source client libraries. The supported languages
are Java, .NET, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Perl. You can find the documentation for
the client libraries here. We also offer some code samples for each library
which can be found here. Let us know if you have any other questions.

RE: not able to create account through manager account api

2024-09-30 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, I understand that you are getting
CUSTOMER_NOT_ALLOWLISTED_FOR_THIS_FEATURE error while creating the client
account using the Google Ads API. In order to further investigate, kindly
provide us with the complete API logs (request and response logs with
request-id and request header) generated at your end to better assist you

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.
