Kindly note that the "IP exclusions" at account level are not yet supported in 
the Google Ads API. I will raise a request to add this feature to be available 
in the Google Ads API. We cannot provide a scheduled timeline for the

Are you encountering the scope error only with the generateKeywordIdeas or any 
other requests too?
Have you considered the Authorization scope before making the request?

project.

In order to investigate your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete 
API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at 
your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would 
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are 
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to 
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging 
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

1) We are creating campaigns through the API using the python Library, our 
campaigns are being created successfully with the correct region, however, they 
are not showing the reach value (please refer to the screenshot). When we 
select the region manually in the UI, it shows the value, is there any 
implication on that? Does this affect the actual reach?

Kindly note that the campaigns need to be in the "Enabled" status and have a 
sufficient budget to generate reach estimates. The API might not provide reach 
data for campaigns in other states like "Paused" or with low budgets. Also, 
make sure you are using the appropriate LocationInfo objects or geotarget 
constants.

2) I want to also exclude ALL the countries except the US whenever we are 
creating the campaigns through the API, is this possible? I could not find a 
field for this type of request in the documentation.

I would like to inform you that it is not possible to exclude all countries 
except the US in Google Ads API campaign creation. Instead of targeting every 
country and then excluding all except the US, it's more efficient to directly 
target only the US using LocationInfo objects or geotarget constants. Please 
refer to the help center article Target ads to geographic locations to get more 
information.

Just letting you know that I've issued this as a bug and not a feature request, 
as the expectation is that all resources should be mutable via a 
MutateOperation. If the change were to be made in the API, I'm not sure how 
long it would take, but it would have to be part of an upcoming release. I 
recommend keeping an eye on our release documentation to see when this gets 
fixed, and in the meantime you can use the CustomAudienceService to issue 
one-off mutate requests for custom audiences.

Kindly note that, it is not yet supported in the Google Ads API to estimate 
Performance Max campaigns without an ad group or keyword as it is supported in 
Google Ads UI. However, I have raised a request for this feature to be 
available in Google Ads API and this is subject for review. I cannot provide a 
scheduled timeline for the availability of this feature in the API. I would 
recommend you to please follow our Release Notes and Blog post for future 
updates.

If you mention multiple client account Id's (CID) in an API request, then also 
the API returns results for only 1 CID. To retrieve campaigns data for an 
account, you need to issue separate requests against each client account under 
the manager account. This means making individual API requests to retrieve data 
for each client account, kindly note that it's not possible to get data for 
multiple client accounts in a single query. I would suggest querying API using 
or specifying a client account Id in customers.googleAds.search method which 
gives all campaigns data under that particular account. Hope this helps.

I understand that you are facing some issues while making an API call. To make 
an API call to a Google Ads customer, you need access to that customer either 
directly or through a linked manager account. You also need the proper 
permissions depending on the particular API call. I would suggest you to 
Prepare the customer account before making an API call. You need below details 
to make an API call.

Developer token: A developer token from Google lets your app connect to the 
Google Ads API. This is a 22-character long alphanumeric string, and is listed 
under the "API Center" page of your Google Ads manager account. After Sign in 
then navigate to TOOLS & SETTINGS > SETUP > API Center. The API Center option 
appears only for Google Ads manager account.

Client ID and client secret: You can find the client ID and client secret in 
the Google API Console under credentials, you may refer to this guide for more 
information.

Refresh token: The Google Ads API uses OAuth 2.0 as the authorization 
mechanism. By default, OAuth 2.0 authentication issues an access token that 
expires after a limited time. To renew the access token automatically, you 
should issue a refresh token instead.

Customer ID: The 10-digit customer ID of the customer account to which you plan 
to make API calls against. This is sometimes referred to as the operating 
customer.

Log-in-customer ID: The 10-digit login customer ID of the customer account 
you're signed in to. If you're signed in to the operating customer, the login 
customer ID is the same as the customer ID.

I would suggest you to go through 'Make an API call' guide for more information 
about making API call in PHP. Let us know if you have any further queries.

is enabled by querying the Customer resource for the ConversionTrackingSetting 
by the following query with GoogleAdsService.SearchStream:

There API doesn't support streaming uploads for conversions. You need to make 
separate discrete requests, each of which have a batch of 2000 or fewer 
conversions.

The API generally doesn't support streaming uploads for any feature. You can 
stream search results, however. Here's an example of how to do that in Java:

Thank you for this context. I think I finally understand what's going on here. 
You provided a few URLs previously that were failing. Can you provide me with

a Demand Gen Campaign via the Google Ads API, but you are getting a 
CANNOT_ATTACH_BIDDING_STRATEGY_TO_CAMPAIGN error. This error is a type of 
OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CONTEXT error. This error indicates that you cannot 
attach a bidding strategy to a campaign. Please note that there are a few 
minimum requirements that should be met before creating a demand-gen campaign. 
I also suggest you please check the Create campaign and bidding strategy 
documentation to know how to create a campaign and the bidding strategy. You 
can also check the Bidding Strategy Types documentation to know the supported 
bidding strategies via the Google Ads API.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you are getting 'INTERNAL_ERROR' 
while adjusting conversions. Kindly note that the INTERNAL_ERROR occurs when 
something unexpected happens while processing the request. The common cause 
could be the API isn't functioning correctly. However, this is transient in 
nature and the API request will work again when retrying it after 30 seconds or 
some time. You may also retry any requests that failed with this error, using 
an exponential backoff schedule for the retries. Here is a code example 
demonstrating how to implement an exponential back off strategy.

If the issue still persists, then provide us with the below information, so 
that we can investigate this issue further.

Also, you can use the user_location_view resource, it reports metrics at the

customer client information separately is not possible via the API. I would

API center in your Google Ads account.

Kindly note that the API Center option appears only for Google Ads manager 
accounts. Also, note that only the production manager account has the API 
center. If it's a test account, then please be informed that test accounts are 
closed by default since they're not allowed to run ads or set up billing 
information. If you don't have a manager account, you can follow the Help 
Center instructions to create one. Now, sign in to your manager account and 
navigate to TOOLS & SETTINGS > SETUP > API Center.

If you are signed in with your Google Ads manager account and yet you still 
can't see the API center in the Google Ads UI, then I would recommend you reach 
out to the Google Ads Product support team as they are better equipped to 
address your concern. Please note that we can only assist with issues/concerns

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you would like to know the 
expiration time for a refresh token in production. I would like to inform you 
that the refresh token expires every 7 days when your Google project's 
publishing status is Testing. Kindly refer to the document Refresh token 
expiration to get more information.

Please note that if you want to avoid the refresh token expiring in 7 days, go 
to the Google API Console and navigate to the OAuth consent screen and then 
change the publishing status to “In production”. If its publishing status is in 
"In production" already, this means that you have already applied this Setting 
up your OAuth consent screen instruction to that account that makes the life of 
the refresh token longer.

Also, kindly note that once the refresh token is expired, you need to generate 
a new refresh token by following the steps providedd in the document Fetch a 
refresh token.

Also, kindly upgrade your 'google/gax' to the latest version by running 
'composer update'.

If still the issue persists, provide us with the complete API logs (request and

I understand that you are getting the 'DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED' error when 
trying to access the listAccessibleCustomers. Please note that each Google API 
Console project can be associated with the developer token from only one 
manager account. Once you make a Google Ads API request, the developer token is 
permanently paired to the Google API Console project.

If you want to switch the account, you'll need to create a new Google API 
Console project for Google Ads API requests that use the new manager's token. 
If you don't use a new Google API Console project, you'll get a 
DEVELOPER_TOKEN_PROHIBITED error when making a request. Also, Please check if 
you have the correct access level to the Google Ads account that you are 
accessing.

Kindly note that you can update campaigns using a field mask. The field mask 
lists all the fields you intend to change with the update, and any specified 
fields that are not in the field mask will be ignored, even if sent to the 
server.

The recommended way to generate field masks is using the field_mask helper 
function included in the google.api_core package. It accepts two protobuf 
objects and returns a field mask object with a list field that contains all of 
the fields that are different between the two objects.If None is passed as the 
first parameter then the field mask list will just contain all of the fields on 
the second protobuf object that are not set to their default value. I would 
recommend you to check this documentation on Updates Using Field Masks for more 
information.

You can use CamapignService to set the status of those Campaigns to 'PAUSED'.

Also, this guide on sample update campaign programs provides information 
regarding the example code that demonstrates the update of a campaign to pause 
via the Google Ads API.

access a customer, and you’re accessing a client customer using

used to generate the credentials indeed has access to the account in your 
request. If the user or email address has access to or is associated with the 
MCC or manager account, you will need to specify the MCC or manager account's

Kindly note that this error usually occurs when there's an issue with your 
OAuth credentials. Please make sure you have generated them with an email 
address that has access to your account.

be authorized through OAuth2. If possible, re-generate your OAuth credentials 
as explained in the suggested documentation.

advertiser identity verification.

To provide a safe and trustworthy ad ecosystem for users, and to comply with 
emerging regulations, Google now requires advertisers to complete one or more 
verification programs. I would recommend you to check this Help Center article 
About verification to know about some example criteria that lead to the 
selection of an advertiser to complete Google’s advertiser verification 
programme within a deadline. You may refer to the same Help Center article to 
know why a few advertisers may see an option to complete the advertiser 
verification programme without a deadline. Kindly note that the level of API 
access has no affect and cannot bypass this mandatory validation.

If you are using the Ads API and would like to complete the advertiser identity 
verification, then I would suggest you refer to this guide on Advertiser 
identity verification for more information.
