Hi Peter,

Is there a limit to how many keyword plans a Google Ads account can have? 

And the script I would have would: create a keyword plan, create a keyword 
plan campaign, create a keyword plan ad group, create a keyword plan ad 
group keyword, generate historical metrics.

Do each of these steps count as 1 operation to the daily 10,000 limit on 
basic accounts?

Hi Peter,

I plan to have a script that iterates through ~20K keywords, grabbing their 
historical monthly volumes. Wouldn't it be unsustainable for me to create 
~20K keyword plans? Any other options here?

Thanks for the references, I was wondering though if it was possible to get 
the MonthlySearchVolume without creating keyword plans? I think 
TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES bypasses creating keyword plans.

Exact historical monthly search volume from KeywordPlanIdeaService?

Hey all,

Was wondering if it was possible to get historical search volume by month 
for each keyword idea in KeywordPlanIdeaService rather than the average 
monthly searches. Pretty much what TARGETED_MONTHLY_SEARCHES produces in 
TargetingIdeaService, but instead for KeywordPlanIdeaService.

Did some searching around the group for LocationSearchParameter and it 
looks like the ID to use for United States is *2840*

So I tried *21161* but the volume looks extremely low, I cross-checked it 
with the geotargets csv file that google provides and *21161* looks to be 
referring to North Dakota*. *Any other options here?

Which location ID(s) to use for KeywordPlanIdeaService for the US

Hi there,

Is there a way to provide a single location ID for all of the US to use as 
a parameter for KeywordPlanIdeaService? I want to be able to compare the 
average monthly search volume between the API and the Keyword Planner UI, 
but the list of locations in the geotargets file seems to be at a much more 
granular level, do I need to append all the different IDs that apply to the 
US? That would seem highly inefficient.

Wondering what parameters I could use to make it comparable to the default 
values in Keyword Planner (location = 'US', language = 'English')
