Hi Vincent,

Thanks for your response. Right now, I am looking at the Targeting menu of
a particular AdGroup (screenshot is attached). You will see that nothing
regarding "Targeting Optimization" is checked.

However, when we get the the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting of this ad group
from the AdGroupService, this is our response.

Removing ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

2018-04-18 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I am looking at the "Targeting Optimization" feature in AdWords. I know
from documentation that this feature is represented by the
ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

in the AdWords API.

It seems that if you have previously applied the Targeting Optimization
feature on an adgroup, that adgroup will always return a
ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting
,

even if you no longer have it applied.

I have two questions:

   1. What triggers the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

 to
   be applied to an AdGroup?
   2. Does ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

 get
updated if you no longer apply Targeting Optimization to an AdGroup?

I have attached a screenshot of the Targeting Optimization menu I am
referring to.

Thanks,
Tim

Restrictions on manager account level Shared Sets

2018-01-04 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I am interested in applying many shared sets (negative keyword lists)
across many client accounts under one larger manager account.

I know that if I were to build and attach individual shared sets across
each client account, each client account would have a limit of:

   - 20 shared sets per account
   - Each shared set max of 5000 negative keywords
   - Each Search campaign can accept a maximum of 10,000 negative keywords
   - Each display campaign can accept a maximum of 5000 negative keywords.

Let us say that I have 20 shared sets, each with 1500 negative keywords,
that I want to apply to all campaigns. If I build these at the *manager
account level* and attach them to all accounts under this manager account,
will I face the same/similar restrictions to the ones I described above?

I know that any negative list shared from a manager account does not count
towards the 20 shared sets applied to each client account.

Thanks!
Tim

I have this question too, but the API documentation states that the
targetContentNetwork field can only be set
true for campaign subtype Universal_App_Campaign.

Is there another way to determine if a campaign is "Search Network only" or

CustomerNegativeCriterion and Video campaigns

2017-10-19 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I see that the updated API (v201710) allows one to apply negative
criterions at the Account Level.

Let us say that I have an account with some Display campaigns and some
Video campaigns. If I apply the negative criteria to the account using the
CustomerNegativeCriterionService, will they be applied to BOTH my display
and video campaigns?

I know that previously, I was unable to apply negative criteria to videos
at all, but perhaps the account level service will allow for that now.

Thanks,
Tim

Conservative Targeting in AdWords API

Is it possible to use the API to determine of a campaign has checked

I know that we can use the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

conservative?

If I am getting the FinalUrl field described above, will I be able to

It looks like the field is available in the AdGroupCriterionService.

Ad Level Final URL and Keyword level final URL

2017-07-27 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I am wondering if there are differences in the URL between the final URL
set at the Ad level and at the Keyword Level?

I know that there is the field finalurls

field in the AdGroupCriterionService, and I assume that applies to final
urls at the ad level. Is this correct? Is there a field at the Keyword
Level?

Thanks,
Tim

Can you use the API to pull a campaign performance report at the MCC level?

2017-05-26 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I need to pull a campaign performance report
 via the
API with the fields:

   -
   - CampaignId
   - CampaignName
   - ExternalCustomerID
   - CampaignStatus
   - ServingStatus

I want this report to cover all the campaigns under an MCC, but it appears
that the API only allows you to pull a campaign performance report at an
account level.

I know that you can pull a Campaign Performance Report at the MCC level via
the front end. Is there a way to pull a campaign performance report with
the fields listed above *at the MCC level?*

Thanks,

Digital Content Label Exclusions

2017-04-10 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

Are Digital Content Label exclusions available in the API? From the AdWords
support page, I see the Digital Content labels listed here
, and I know to
look in the ContentLabel

 section
of the API, but the only fields that apply are *VIDEO_RATING_DV_G*,
*VIDEO_RATING_DV_PG *etc. I also know that video campaigns are not yet
available in the API.

Are those the same fields as the digital content labels listed here
 under "List of
Category Options?"

Thanks,
Tim

Topic exclusions via API

2017-04-04 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I am looking at the "Exclude Pages about a Specific Topic"
 support page and
I was wondering if we could get, mutate, or query the topic exclusions of a
particular campaign via the API.

I know you are able to do this via the API with other exclusions, such as
Sensitive Content and Digital Content (API ref here
),

but I am having a hard time finding the Topic ones in the API.

Thanks all!
