Re: Creating AdWords rich media display ads

2017-01-04 Thread Jana Lyon
Hi Sreelakshmi,

I think I may be over complicating things - can I just make a normal html
banner and give it to my client to upload to their adwords account? Or do I
need to add platform specific script in order for the banner to be accepted
once uploaded to their adwords account?

Thanks,
Jana

Creating AdWords rich media display ads

2017-01-03 Thread Jana Lyon
Hi there,

I am having a bit of trouble finding out how to create an 'HTML5' ad for
AdWords. As a front-end developer, making the actual banner isn't a problem
- it is knowing what platform specific hooks need to be included. I am
making some ads for a client who will be trafficking the ads themselves.

Usually I create (hand code) banners for use in DoubleClick (I don't use
GWD or anything like that, just simple HTML, CSS and JS), so there are
certain API hooks that need to be included for tracking purposes, otherwise
the ad won't pass quality assurance. Are there any for AdWords? Or do I
just create a rich media banner that will then be wrapped in something that
will do the tracking?

Any help or tutorial suggestions welcome.

Thanks!
