Bug with includeAdultKeywords when running GenerateKeywordIdeas or Metrics?

2023-02-08 Thread Ksenya Arsenevna
Hi all,

*GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetricsRequest* has an adult parameter as follows:

*include_adult_keywords*

bool

If true, adult keywords will be included in response. The default value is
false.

I am seeing very odd API behavior when running Keyword Ideas or
HistoricalMetrics queries. This is what happens:
Getting metrics for the word "porn" - with include_adult_keywords set to
false*,* I am getting an empty response (expected). When the setting set to
true, I am getting response with metrics (also expected). However, when I
change the word to "porno" - that is where API providing empty response
notwithstanding the adult setting.

Same happens with other adult words, such as "sexy girls".

But what's really odd is that keywords such as "girls" or "boys" alone,
result in empty responses too (no matter whether adult is ON/OFF). (Then
"girls clothes" works fine with al the metrics...?).

Please advise if this is expected behavior and why 'adult' setting is not
respected and many words appear to be as shadow-banned ?

We are having exactly the same problem.

PHP client lib 3.2.0.

API v201206 *and* v201209 both return the same error.

The error is returned in about 4 out of 5 repeated requests. About 1 of 5
returns correct response.

Google - please pay your urgent attention to your Adwords API being
currently broken!!
