TargetIdeaService get() RateExceededError

Hi,

I am using TargetIdeaService.get  to generate new keywords, and make 5 
requests for 5 ad groups in parallel using same refresh Token. Any 
suggestions for me to avoid the RateExceededError, since the target Idea 
API is different from other downloading report APIs. For 
TargetingIdeaService, it does not depend on my usage alone, but on the 
usage of all users on a certain time of the day, and other factors.  I 
would like to use batch jobs but unfortunately, BatchJobService doesn't 
support TargetindIdeaService.get operation and only supports these mutate 
operations(

TargetingIdeaSelector request.type.STAT

Hi,

I found that the TargetingIdeaSelector only supports 
200 RelatedToQuerySearchParameters for the 'request.type.IDEAS' but it can 
support more than 200 items for the type 'request.type.STAT', so I would 
like to know the limit of the type 'request.type.STAT'.

Hi,

I found that the TargetingIdeaSelector only supports

RateLimiterException: Need to wait to long

Hi,

I am using the TargetingIdeaServiceInterface to get new keyword suggestions 
and TrafficEstimatorServiceInterface to do the traffic estimation, but I 
always encounter the Exception:

I am using AdWordsServicesWithRateLimiter with the property settings:

When this error occurred, it wouldn't retry 3 times as my 
'MAX_ATTEMPTS_ON_RATE_EXCEEDED_ERROR_PROPERTY' setting and exit immediately 
with that exception.

Sometimes, I will meet this error, 
'*ApiException{applicationExceptionType=ApiException, 
errors=[RateExceededError{apiErrorType=RateExceededError, 
errorString=RateExceededError.RATE_EXCEEDED, fieldPath=, 
rateName=RATE_LIMIT, rateScope=ACCOUNT, reason=RATE_EXCEEDED, 
retryAfterSeconds=30, trigger=}]}*' and it will retry again, but not after 
30 second as my setting.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your quick reply. I also found some categoryIds are negative 
numbers, so I would like to know the meaning of the negative categoryId 
value. BTW could you give me some reference for me to understand the some 
exceptional categoryid value. Now I have productsservices.csv to retrieve 
the category name of each category id.

Multiple Search Parameters for GetKeywordIdeas(v201802)

I am testing the TargetingIdeaPage. When I only pass the 
SeedAdGroupIdSearchParameter , it will return the keyword ideas that 
related to my ad group. When I only pass the RelatedToQuerySearchParameter, 
it will return the keyword ideas that related to the given keyword, but 
when I pass my SeedAdGroupIdSearchParameter *AND* the 
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter the result is the same as only passing the 
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter. 


I read the Google AdWords API Document (
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201802/TargetingIdeaService.TargetingIdeaSelector),
 
and I found that the adGroup's keywords would be used to generate new and 
related keywords when passing the SeedAdGroupIdSearchParameter. I would 
like to know what is the right result when passing the 
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter and SeedAdGroupIdSearchParameter to the 
targetingIdeaService. Also,  I would like to know the strategy to give out 
the keyword ideas when passing multiple search parameters, especially the 
'RelatedToQuerySearchParameter', 'SeedAdGroupIdSearchParameter' and 
'RelatedToUrlSearchParameter'.
