Version required for AdHoc Reports

2012-03-13 Thread Tilendor
I have a quick question about this blog
post:
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/GoogleAdsDeveloperBlog/~3/a5UqNWFoL-o/specifying-version-when-requesting.html

It says " we will require the API version string to be included as part of
the HTTP request". What part of the request needs the version? Is it only
the url like in the blog post, or does it need to be in an HTTP Header, or
post body?

Clarification here would be appreciated.

Re: v13 early sunset ?

2012-02-22 Thread Tilendor
We have also been blindsided by this. We have been working on the new API
code right now and are needing to release early. Bad form Google. This
would have been acceptable if there had been notice.

Blindsiding people who are already aware of and working against the
published deadline is a bad experience. I echo the comment of having a
'partial cutoff' and a hard cutoff. Maybe don't do anything with the API
until the day after sunset, and then have a grace period with this 10% API
errors idea. Starting this early and unannounced is unprofessional for a
business that knows other business rely on the API.

I wonder how many companies that are already working on the new API have
been sidetracked by this.

Re: Login failures across numerous accounts

2011-07-14 Thread Tilendor
Google is consolidating their separate login systems. For us because
we used the same login email in Google Account and Google Apps, our
Adwords e-mail was changed from my_email@my_company.com to my_email
%my_company@gtempaccount.com and wanted me to consolidate
accounts.

I attempted that and it failed to bring my adwords data over. So I
had to create a new GoogleAccount for Adwords and change the login to
the new e-mail.

We are also suddenly getting a large number of reporting errors. An
error message we are receiving is

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Login with this username/
password failed. I'm still digging into it.

We're able to use the sandbox now. Thanks.

Re: Sandbox troubles?

2010-08-04 Thread Tilendor
I had a little trouble finding the URL to use for the sandbox too.
Its https://adwords-sandbox.google.com/... Keep that in mind.

Re: What is InternalApiError.UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR?

2010-07-29 Thread Tilendor

I'm getting the same problem. We use the adwords API, and use gembox
to help view whats in the sandbox environment. We've been getting the
internal error part way through downloading adgroups. I'm not sure
which specific request in gembox is failing, but its been happening
for over a week. Any way to know if its our fault or the systems?

I would be fine with the sandbox being cleared so we can start from
scratch if there is any invalid data.
