API Rate Limit (RateExceededError)

2016-03-24 Thread Tomer
Hello,

Our application was running just fine up until yesterday but since then we
started getting the following message over and over:

Message: [RateExceededError ]
Errors:
Error [1]:
field_path:
trigger:
error_string: RateExceededError.RATE_EXCEEDED
api_error_type: RateExceededError
reason: RATE_EXCEEDED
rate_name: RATE_LIMIT
rate_scope: ACCOUNT
retry_after_seconds: 30
xsi_type: ns2:RateExceededError

We have moved from making ten of thousands of requests per day to several
hundreds. We keep getting this message despite waiting much longer than 30
seconds.

Can you please help us understand why?

Thanks

Hi,

I use the CampaignChangeData in order to get all the changed campaigns and
then I'm updating the stats of each changed campaign only.
Is there a way to tell if a campaign was changed by an automatic placement

That means to identity that a campaign was change even if there weren't any
fields changes but there were some new automatic placements which were
added?

The motivation behind this is to be able to control each placement more

If I'll create a new managed placement with the same url as one of my

Geotargeting (proximity) with python

2013-03-05 Thread Tomer
I'm trying to figure out how to set up a campaign to target a radius around
a certain address, using the python client library.
I can't find any recent example how to do that (only one from 2008, and it
seems that the syntax has changed considerably).

Would appreciate any pointers to code examples. My guess is I need to
convert the target address to longtitue / latitude and then pass it as part
of adding a new campaign.

Thanks

Re: Failed to Get a List of Automatic Placements via AdGroupCriterionService

2012-08-04 Thread Tomer Peled
Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your generous help!

I played with the automatic performance report but it seems that there are
several values that are missing:
1) Why there is no unique id to any of the automatic placements like there
is to the managed placements? Is this due to the large amount of the
automatic placements?
2) I want to get the following information:
maxCPC, AveragePosition, QualityScore , FirstPageCPC, where can I find it?
I tried to get it via the CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT - but with no success.

Thanks,
Tomer

Contextual Keywords stats in display network only campaign are zeros

2012-08-04 Thread Tomer Peled
Hi,

I'm trying to get the stats for the keywords in my content campaign, but I
only get zeros while using the API whereas via the UI I'm getting the stats
correctly.
I tried to get this information with two methods:
1) AdGroupCriterionService.
2) Via the reporting mechanism - in specific to the performance report
of KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.

With both methods I'm getting zeros in the keywords stats : Impressions,
clicks , costs, etc.

What am I missing?

Thanks,
Tomer

2012-07-31 Thread Tomer Peled
Hi Kevin,

Thanks,
Tomer

Re: Failed to Get a List of Automatic Placements via AdGroupCriterionService

2012-07-31 Thread Tomer Peled
Hi,
Is there anything new with the retrieving of the Automatic placements or
the solution that is mentioned here is the only one?

Also, can you please describe what do you mean by running the report and to
retrieve the information from it?
Did you mean to run it automatically somehow (API) and then to parse the
xls file and to retrieve the information from there?

Thanks,
Tomer
