Adwords Reporting and Account Management
Hi all, I want to create reports for Adwords Campaigns and Manage Adwords Account. I wish to do this by using Adwords API and I already have a test MCC account (account 1) which I created a test developer token, refresh token and other necessary generated values. I am trying to generate a campaign report for another test account (account 2). I believe I will need to link account 2 to account 1 and allow account 1 to gain access to account 2. I want to try the manual method first before trying it with Adwords API and I get the error "This Google Account is already associated with the maximum number of Adwords Account". I am pretty sure that account 1 has not other Adwords Accounts linked, so does this mean that it is not possible to test reporting on another account's Adwords campaign through the use of test accounts? I do not expect the report to show anything but I just wanna test the linking of the account and if a report can be generated; I would also like to use this method to test the account management functionalities. If I have to test these functionalities, does it mean I need to use actual Adwords Accounts? If that is the case, does it mean I need a developer token? Thank you. -- -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and Google+: https://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/ https://plus.google.com/+GoogleAdsDevelopers/posts =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group. Adding Account Management to my application
After my application for a developer token failed, I was told that I need to add Account Management to my application in order to comply with the AdWords API terms and policy. I am confused on the procedure in order to do that; I am currently using test accounts to do that. In order to manage my client's AdWord account with my developer token (which is test for now), it seems like I need to set up AcceptServiceLinks in order to manage my client's AdWords account. In the sample code, it says "this example accepts a pending invitation to link your AdWords account to a Google Merchant Center account", which I think I would also need a Google Merchant Center account too if I want to manage my client's AdWords account. However, in the AdWords API DevBytes video, it says I can "use an approved developer token for request against all your AdWords account, including those that are not linked to the developer's tokens [?MTC?] account"; from this, I think I do not need to setup AcceptServiceLinks in order to manage my client's account. In my understanding, it seems like I would need to use my own clientId and clientSecret then dynamically set the clientCustomerId "which is the account number of the Adwrods account I want to manage through API". However, I tried this before with my test developer tokens which give me an authorization error. Does this means that I need a Google Merchant Center account which can allow me to setup AcceptServiceLinks to my client's AdWords account then dynamically set my client's clientCustomerId in order to start managing my client's Adwords account? Or it will just work as long as I have a approved developer token, which means I will not be able test this through using test tokens? Also is there an easy way to get my client's clientCustomerId like accessing with their gmail credentials or will I have to ask my client to input that manually? -- -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and Google+: https://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/ https://plus.google.com/+GoogleAdsDevelopers/posts =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group. How to determine the currency of the data returned from AdWords API?
I am currently using a test account to get information from different services.; one of the services that I used is TargetingIdeaService. I got the average CPC from this service but I have difficulty determining the currency of this data. Does it follow the currency on my AdWord test account? If it does, how can I determine the currency of my test AdWord account?
