Re: how to decrease the response time to creation of campaign and adgroups
Thank You so Much josh On Wed, Aug 27, 2014 at 7:50 PM, Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team) adwordsapiadvisor+j...@google.com wrote: Hi Krish, You can definitely submit concurrent requests to the API, although you'll want to watch out for a few things. 1. You may start encountering rate limits. Please see the Rate Limits guide https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits for tips on handling rate limit errors. 2. You'll want to follow our Best Practices https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/bestpractices, particularly with regards to sharing OAuth credentials and grouping operations. 3. If you try to update the same object in multiple concurrent requests you will encounter CONCURRENT_MODIFICATION errors https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/common-errors#DatabaseError . 4. Read the documentation for the client library https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/clientlibraries you are using. Each client library should have information on which objects are thread-safe and which are not within the library. Keep in mind that concurrency will only help if the objects you are trying to ADD are not dependent on each other. For example, if you need to create a campaign, its ad group, and its keywords, then concurrency won't help because you need to create the campaign first, then the ad group, and then the keywords. Finally, you could also implement an approach that uses Batch Processing https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/batch-processing via the MutateJobService https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201406/MutateJobService. However, that doesn't sound like a great fit for your use case because it seems that you need to execute your requests synchronously and wait for each reply, while the *MutateJobService* is meant for asynchronous processing, and may even make requests run a bit longer due to scheduling and job overhead. Hope that helps! Re: No campaigns were found
Even I have the same problem No Campaigns were found Hi Guys, Firstly, I am new to Adwords. I have created one Test Mcc Account(Test mcc account) and under this Test mcc account i have created one client account(Dummy client account), and under this Dummy client account i have created on Campaign(new bike campaign in india) and also provided adgroups, adds and keywords. And now my problem is when i run GetCampaigns.java from google Adwords Api program i have successfully connected with correct authentication info but i am getting this message *No Campaigns were found* even i have created campaign (new bike campaign in india) under this client account (Dummy client account). Please once look below details for my authentication setup provided in the ads.properties file. api.adwords.clientId : api.adwords.clientSecret : (for both above clientId and clientSecret info i have given by creating a project from this link https://console.developers.google.com by providing with an authorized url). api.adwords.clientCustomerId : provided Test mcc account client id (Dummy client account). api.adwords.developerToken : from my original mcc account (product mcc account). api.adwords.refreshToken : which is generated after running GetRefreshToken.java from google Adwords Api. By providing above authentication credentials connected to the mcc account successfully but unable to get campaign details from created Dummy client account with a message No Campaigns were found. Please help me on this and make me to move forward. Re: Impression Share metrics at AdGroup level via adhoc reports?
Hi Reed, I tried ImpressionShare in Selector and it worked $selector-fields = array('CampaignId', 'Id', 'Name', 'Impressions', 'ImpressionShare','Clicks', 'Cost'); I am using v201109. Hi Chris, It took us several months to get our API access back. You may try calling AdWords Customer Care. I think (866) 246-6453 is the number. Selector-searchParameters in v201109 TargetingIdeaService
Hello, When I tried to use LanguageSearchParameter as a selector searchparameter for TargetingIdeaService (v201109) with the language code I got an invalid_criterion_id error. However when I switched to using ID, the searchparameter started working. Can someone help me figure out the reason, please. Here are the two sets of php code //not working $lang=array(); $language = new language(); $language-code = 'en'; $lang[]=$language; $LanguageSearchParameter = new LanguageSearchParameter(); $LanguageSearchParameter-languages=$lang; //working $lang=array(); $language = new language(); $language-id = '1000'; $lang[]=$language; $LanguageSearchParameter = new LanguageSearchParameter(); $LanguageSearchParameter-languages=$lang; Thanks Jai -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and discussion group: http://adwordsapi.blogspot.com http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups AdWords API Forum group. Re: TargetingIdeaService not returning the seed keyword unlike Keyword Tool
Hello group members, Some more specifics. When I have Japanese as the language target and enter a seed keyword in English, TargetingIdeaService does not return the seed keyword, whereas the Keyword Tool returns the seed keyword for the same constraints. Why do we see this discrepancy? Thank you Jai On Jan 4, 5:04 pm, Jai jai.ramachand...@mathworks.com wrote: Hello, I am using TargetingIdeaService.
